Hi Harriet and Jim & Yuki 🤗 We’re starting to put together a very pretty picture of Richmond, Virginia from your regular descriptions ❤️ We love walking and haven’t done enough of it lately, we really enjoyed our trip to Coolum this week ☀️
Lovely video and that beach looks amazing - there’s nothing quite like fish & chips by the sea. We live quite close to the coast in Norfolk (England) which is great but it’s quite a bit colder at the moment than where you are. 😊 We often go for a walk on the coast to de-stress too. Take Care and thanks again for a great video 🥰
Thanks Julie 🤗 Yes, we have some beautiful beaches and we’re lucky to have warm weather most months of the year ☀️We’ve had fish & chips in the UK…and they were awesome 😋
Well that video helped me to de-stress thankyou!! My husband and I are getting our house ready to put on the market because we are emigrating from the UK to Australia, Brisbane. There is such a lot to do and it can get a bit overwhelming but your videos help and inspire me to keep going
Hi Emma, Don’t worry 🤗you’re probably feeling stressed because you’re wondering whether living here is everything you’re hoping it will be…and you’re probably feeling exhausted from the planning, packing etc. Brisbane is a great place to live…we lived there for 7 years and loved it 😊 We also know lots of people who have sold up everything and moved from the UK and they love it here. Maybe it’s the Queensland outdoor lifestyle that everyone loves…plenty of sunshine and lots of beautiful beaches and national parks to explore. We’re excited for you…because we know you have so much to look forward to ❤️
Hi Beth and Paul , loving watching all your videos of the Sunshine Coast , such a great resource and a reminder of our recent holiday . One of our finds was walking from Moffat beach to Dicky beach along the Tooray creek , like all the coastal walks the paths and boardwalks are so well done . Loved getting our regular morning coffee with a great view from pocket cafe on Seaview parade . If you need another video idea , it’s a good in Andrew and Jane Rotorua NZ

That’s made us so happy Beth and Paul we love Coolum it’s our favourite place on the Sunny Coast visited it many times we stay in Mooloolaba when visiting your beautiful country but always have a couple of trips to Coolum and get lunch in the surf club thank you for bringing back happy memories ❤
Thanks Lynda 🤗 We’re so happy you enjoyed this video and it brought back happy holiday memories for you! We know Mooloolaba well…it’s our favourite swimming beach 😉
Hi Lynn 🤗 Yes, we have beautiful beaches but we know Scotland also has some spectacular beaches and scenery ❤️ We’re very lucky over here that we have plenty of warm weather to be able to swim in them.
We just love your videos. My husband and I plan to move to Australia, and we watch you to get our fix. We enjoy watching the beaches and the food! The fish and chips look delicious.
Hi T 🤗 We’re really happy you’re enjoying our videos! If you love beaches and food…you’ll both love living in Australia ❤️ As Aussies, we take our pristine beaches for granted but our coastline is so beautiful. We love eating fish and chips when we’re at the beach…it’s guaranteed to be fresh and delicious 😋
Good to have you back, hope everything is going well even with the unfortunate situation with your daughter. Hope you are all doing well and hope it only gets better from here on out. Much love from all of us and keep enjoying the beautiful weather in Australia. 😄💪🏻
Thanks so much @Crow Dynamic 🤗 Both of our children are coming up for a week-long holiday in a couple of days…we’re very excited because we love spending time together and they love where we live ❤️
Coolum is so pretty. On the recent holidays we stayed at Moolooaba. So many shops and eating places just like Coolum. My birthday was also 4 days go on the 20th of Jan
Hi Alistair and Mandy 🤗 we forgot to mention the patisserie and the gelato place….both fantastic! It’s very quiet up here right now…a perfect time to holiday 😉
Thank you for the new video, love your videos. If I could request a town it would be the Historic town of Landsborough. many people think it is just a drive-thru up to Maleny. heaps of activities from bush walks and museum and plenty of places to eat as well country style pub, bakery and butcher. But it is worth the stop and have a look. Keep up the great work.
Thanks @retroskys 🤗 That’s a great idea! We have no excuse for not doing Landsborough because it’s less than 30 minutes from where we live. It’s been on our list for a while and we agree with you, most people wouldn’t know what a charming historic town it is! We’ve just put it to the top of our list 😉
Hey Beth and Paul thank you for the reply, oh it is already on your list haha to funny. But yes it's a nice town.. great part of the world the lower part of the sunny coast. Have a good day regards David 😀
That place looks beautiful. We got as far north as Mooloolaba in October from Brisie. We did the bay boat trip with sea food that you guys did a video about and we loved it! Thanks for this video. It makes me feel warmer watching it. Here in the UK it has without exaggeration being dark, wet, cold, icy, gloomy and miserable every single day since October!! Still only Feb and March to go before the weather improves. Thanks again for the video and take care.
Hi Pete 🤗 You’ll have to explore a little further north on your next trip! There’s a great walk from Mooloolaba through Alex Heads and continues on to Cotton Tree….beautiful beaches, scenery and some great cafe options at Cotton Tree. Mudjimba, Marcoola and then Coolum are the next three beaches further north that are worth a visit….the drive from Coolum to Noosa has spectacular ocean views 🤗 It’s been a very hot and humid week with temperatures around 34c. We’ve been spending a lot of time in the pool to keep cool ☀️we wouldn’t mind swapping your weather for a day or two 😉

Hi Madura 😊 Yes, it's a spectacular beach that can be seen as you're driving along David Low Way....a fantastic long beach...great for a long walk.....(or a swim!)
Wow, my favorite food, fushnchups!! Love walking a beach even down sth. I have a king that comes sometimes, calls from each side of house until I feed him. Lovely spot, have been and will go there whenever I get up that way. Take care too. Love the reminder of the area always.
Hi @Entropy Spin 😊 yes, the cod was fresh and delicious...a must when on the coast at lunchtime. King parrots are so tame aren't they? It's funny that you say that...the king parrots that visit us do exactly the same! They make a squeaking sound to let us know they are there ....and then move their way around the balcony until we see them 🦜 Thanks for always watching ❤️
Hi Graham, there are so many beautiful beaches on the Sunshine Coast ☀️ but Coolum is spectacular with the cliff top scenic lookout (where Paul flew the drone) and pristine sand for as far as you can see. They have lots of shady pandanus trees and seating, so it’s also a great place to have a coffee and watch the waves….
@@BethandPaultravel Love to see you back doing this . I've been to coolum a few times over the years and had some great Holidays there . I have a great sunrise beach shot that everyone loves .
HI FARMER FRED 😊 Yes, we were really happy that the fish was fresh and tasted delicious. It was a huge piece of cod and good value when sharing the one piece.
Wow Carol, you know your fish! Ha ha yes it was fresh cod…a huge piece we shared for $10.50 😋 Coolum has grown and you know us, we love having fresh fish when we’re at the beach!
@@BethandPaultravel $10.50 for that! Good deal!!! Enough for two to share by the looks of it. That's what Donna and I usually do with our local fish and chip shop order.
Coolum is just like Scarborough, Ontario here in Canada right now. Last night we had fish and chips for dinner and this morning I went for a walk on the beach...... oh wait.... no! I shoveled snow for well over an hour! At the 5:15 mark, do you have a drone or is that some "file footage"?
Ha ha it got to 36c here today…we’d love to be shoveling snow right now 😉 Yes, that was Paul flying the drone from the lookout whilst I walked on the beach 🤗
My hubby & I live in Brisbane. We were watching this video & said to each other... they have the life we want in the Sunshine Coast! But we are just in the process of trying to force our life in that direction. My hubby works from home now & although I’ve tried, I still haven’t managed to create a WFH lifestyle. We want to buy a caravan, start living at 60! When you were caught wagging Beth... you mentioned you contracted your admin skills. I have tried doing that with a couple of law firms but couldn’t build it from there. Do you have any tips for me? How did you start? Just approaching companies? You never know, one day into the future we may bump into you at Coolum Caravan Park!
Hi Nadia, Thanks for watching our video 🤗 I was offered contracting work back in 2009. It wasn’t something I was specifically looking for at the time, as I also had a part time job. This was at a time when working from home was virtually unheard of. Anyway, I set myself up with an ABN and have continued to work since then, mainly for the same companies. The work fluctuates depending on their projects, but that suits me fine. Now that working from home has become a thing, perhaps you could look at jobs you may not have considered before? Eg: Government jobs? Good jobs on the Sunshine Coast are scarce, so the ideal thing would be to work for a Brisbane-based organisation remotely. That way, if you were living on the Sunshine Coast, you could still pop down to Brisbane for training, etc. Good Luck! I hope 2024 opens new opportunities for you ❤️
Thanks for taking the time to reply Beth. Much appreciated. Wow, that certainly was good fortune getting a WFH job like that back in 2009! Definitely unheard of. Funny you should mention a government job. I started a full-time temp job in December. I’ve heard that’s the only way to get your foot in the door🤞 I won’t give up until I get there... cause there is not much of a fit & healthy life left to live when you’re 60! Got to make the most of it. Thanks again😊
Hi Tony 🙂 I think there are a lot more opportunities to work from home now compared to when I started 10+ years ago when it was much less common. I started with one client and the work grew naturally. The pro's: flexible hours and can work anywhere. The Cons: it can be difficult to switch off from work at times....
I don’t blame you…there are government departments that offer work from home opportunities or you could register with an employment agency and pick up temp work…I’ve done both and they’re both good ways to get your foot in the door 😉
