- This week we explore Peregian Beach - a beach and small coastal village on the Sunshine Coast, about 13 km south of Noosa Heads and 6 km north of Coolum Beach. Peregian Beach is the perfect place to unwind with long beach walks, surf excellent breaking waves or relax on the pristine sand. You can walk along the coastal track that connects different beachfront areas or stroll through the relaxed village of Peregian and explore the shady Peregian town square. There are stylish boutiques to browse and cafés to relax in whilst the beachfront park has an excellent children’s playground and skate park. After a delicious morning tea, we drove 5 minutes away to visit the beautiful and serene Lake Weyba. This shallow saltwater lake is the perfect place to relax or explore.

WHAT TO DO?
Swim, walk, surf, skate, shop, dine and relax.
The local Peregian Beach Markets are held at the beachfront park (in front of the surf club) on the first and third Sunday of each month from 7 am to 12:30 pm. They are well known for the variety of art, craft, recycled, created, designed, handmade, homegrown, organic and fair trade products. Spend the morning browsing the stalls; enjoy the live music, have a swim and walk on the beach!

Peregian is an indigenous word for 'Emu' and it's possible to work up the local Emu Mountain (also known as Mt Peregian).

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!

I remember back in the day when it was mainly all natural bush and a true out of the way hidden paradise. Then it was discovered.
Hi Dingo 🤗 Thanks for watching…yes, one consolation is that they haven’t allowed high rise building developments. We first went to Noosa 35 years ago….as you probably remember, it was very different then.
@@BethandPaultravel Thanks for showing it as it is now, no where near as developed as I feared it would. You're right, it's a different place now, the biggest change in my eyes is Mooloolaba. I remember in late 70's early 80's (makes me sound old, in years only) mum talked dad out of buying a bush block there because there was only I think one servo come main store come post office and too far from school. I didn't agree of course because to me that was the absolute dream location, and if there was too much rain in summer dad's Holden premier and mums Torana couldn't get through, and of course I couldn't walk to school. No school, what kid could ask for more.

@@BethandPaultravel just came across you guys today. Love what your doing 👍We have our flights booked for February next year. Heading to the Sunshine Coast and hopefully spend 12 months just chilling out and travelling around Aussie. We are just getting a bit nervous about the rental situation. We were hoping to rent a 2 bedroom apartment for the 12 months so will see how things go. Anyway will look out for you guys when we are sitting on the beach having our first coffee of the day 😂 traveling from Scotland.
@bigtam2408 @bigtam2408 Your trip next year sounds fantastic! February is very hot and humid here, so it would be great if you could an apt not too far from the beach or with a pool. It might also be good to register your interest with a few real estate agencies closer to the time. Our Uni starts semester 1 in March and February is a popular month for international students looking for accommodation also down the south end of the coast. Lots to look forward to….we love Bonnie Scotland 🏴🤗

This is one of my favourite beaches on the sunny coast. We used to go for holidays there every summer growing up. We’d stay at Glen Eden beach resort.
Hi Imogen 😊 The sea was rough when we went there this week. But as you would know, it’s not always that rough. It must have been a great place for holidays when you were a child!
hes still alive we had christmas at cornwall esplanade hotel .getting him in and out of the van we hired and i drove was fun ,sort of like loading a corpse but using his seat lift on his powered wheelchair and borrowing a hero plaster man we gotr him home all the best from alison carer and john 96 yrs old young
