  • Is a homeless encampment forming on the Culver City side of the 405 freeway overpass?
Culver City has been diligent about keeping the homeless on the Los Angeles side of Venice Boulevard in the Mar Vista section of West Los Angeles but in recent days more and more tents are springing up on the Culver City side of the street.
The proliferation of homeless encampments have created tent cities in places like Culver City who normally have been immune to people camping on the sidewalks.
In April 2019, Larry O’Connor toured the Mar Vista Homeless Encampment which had more than 2 dozen tents on the Los Angeles side and zero tents on the Culver City side. Today, things have changed for Culver City.

Absolute fact, you're not out there handing out job application forms to help the lazy bums go get a job. You're broken.

IF you have a business, THEN it is their responsibility to hire homeless + provide a livable wage to correct society : )

@@NaNa-nu9sf Actually I think if the employer has to provide clothing, shelter, food, washing facilities to hire homeless people it should be wage deductable.

This is my neighborhood and I want to know why this homeless issue is not being resolved. After all the fuss over Los Angeles vs Culver City with dealing with the homeless issue. It appears Culver City has caved in and now allowing this crap in their city.Several tents are now on the CC side of the underpass and have not been removed. The vast majority of these homeless are drug addicts and criminals who were released early from CA jails.

@@pacastile Your first question is not asked right, it should be "why aren't the homeless resolving their own issues?"
Allowing it? Unwilling to hand out job application forms. They're giving those things to immigrants to support globalization.
Several tents have not been removed, so go remove them then and stop complaining about it. Maybe hand out some job application forms whilst your at it so the lazy people get jobs and buy a house.
In fact you could even pay the homeless to move their own tents! There's an idea.
Wind the clock back a few years half the leftists were advocating against imprisoning non violent drug criminals, did you do anything about it back then? No.
Keeping them in jail isn't really a solution, it just means everybody's taxes get higher, giving them jobs so they pay for their own houses is the right answer.

It seems that’s taken right on Venice Blvd. you must understand Culver City borderlines with Los Angeles district...so...a little fact Culver is its own district, not pat of LA. if you go back where you filmed one side has tents which belongs to LA and the other side has no tents which belongs to Culver City.......there is a no tent law in Culver. If one is found having a tent up they will be fined or sent to jail.
LA thinks Culver should help out with their increase homeless population. IMO why so??? LA has a bigger budget than Culver. Where did the money go.

In the past this was true. The video shows the south side of Venice Blvd. That is Culver City.
