      Psych nursing being understaffed was one of my main reasons why I wanted to do nursing. Sometimes they're really crazy, but also sometimes they just need someone to talk to. I want to help those people who are left there at the corner of the world and offer them a hand to stand back up.

      Psychiatric nursing is where I want to work after I graduate. I am starting my consolidation in psychiatric unit in my local area hospital this coming Saturday. The reason I chose this area is I have witnessed my family members, relatives, and friends who have been suffering from mental illnesses.

    Hi Nomad Nurse! I’m an L&D nurse, I’m looking to take on my first nursing contract. Gotta be honest I’m a little scared because I know a few medsurge nurses that have been canceled on their contracts. Do you think I should stay at my full time job till the marker stabilizes or should I just dot it now?

    A reason a lot of women want NICU is because newborn babies aren't the most difficult patients to care for. Newborns haven't developed any fears and run on very basic survival functions. I was seriously considering NICU until I saw how competitive the field is.

    Med-Surg is stressful, but to be real, most of the content in nursing school is geared to make you a Med-Surg nurse as most specialties are based on med-Surg principles. I like being a Med-Surg nurse, but I’m ready to go to into the ICU.

    Sir, my first exam result just came in and I failed miserably. I studied the textbook and power points to the point where I could recite what's in the power point. but the exam came and none of the questions was in the textbook/powerpoint. They were so tricky and worded way different than I expected. I got the lowest score in class and now I don't know what to do? I barely slept . I will be glad to hear your advice

    • @toytrojon1873
      @toytrojon1873 4 года назад +2

      I assuming this is pertaining to fundamentals of nursing. In that class, you need to understand the concept rather than memorizing because it’s going to NCLEX style questions. Your school wants you to learn concepts and begin to apply them as you would in the position of a nurse. For example, wound care, you can memorize all stages of pressure ulcers but can you answer a situational question on how to prevent pressure ulcers on a bed-bound patient? Thats how you should go about learning in that class

    Hey you should really research on OR nursing or get an OR nurse on your channel . all your videos do OR injustice. OR nursing is actually one of the highest paying travel specialities with cores within the speciality (ortho, neuro, cardiac, plastics, general, gyn, vasuclar). Ortho Neuro and Cardiac OR nurses are in very very high demand especially Ortho since almost every single hospital does it

    Despite the fact that it is considered a specialty I really don't consider med surge a specialty. It literally comprises 80% of what nursing is so to me that's not a specialty.
