My son has the 24 RWD PS2 and LOVES IT. It's a good fit for his 6 foot 4 inch bod and big shoulders. The front seats are ultra comfortable . . . the rear seats, less so, but they are heated. The real world range is very good as he routinely can get around 300 miles highway driving in good weather (March to Nov here in Canada). For a mix of town and highway, the range is closer to 360 miles.

transmission tunnel in an ev, never a great sign

Yep 100%. These would be great if they could just build the body for an EV, rather than repurpose existing

It's built on a hybrid platform (CMA), designed for both ICE and EV. What most people seem to forget is that it gives a deeper floor in the back instead of having the knees under your chin like in most EVs with flat battery. Better for 4 people which it is designed for (5 is a squeeze in this class).

Great car and have been considering it vs model 3 for the past month. Was really tempted when Polestar did $10,000 off the dual motor variant (which is still going for fellow Aussies). Just would have wished they'd include ventilated seats without needing to spend even more on leather seats. Also the small rear cabin isnt great.

This is the best option for everyone who wanna get started with EV. Tips make sure you can charge at home or at work.

Had a '22, complete garbage. TCAM problems, propulsion issues, fit finish issues, coming from Volvo I expected more. Lucky Im in a lease.

Have a 24 RWD, completely amazing. No TCAM problems, no Propulsion issues, great fit and finish, coming from Volvo it's what I expected. Lucky i bought it cash.
Sorry you got a lemon and it's been your experiance with it. I think they improved the car for MY24.

definitely shits over tesla in looks and interior layout, i wish it had a grill though, a grill is the face and gives character.

Practicality shortcomings and low level of standard equipment for the price is a deal breaker for me. Needs to be fully optioned to be comparable in which case it's clearly overpriced

My volvo dealer who was providing my service just dropped all Polestar 2. Not good. I had many issues including the famous tcam drop outs, wheel bearing issues and interior pieces falling apart mainly on the doorcards. What made it tolerable was my wonderful volvo service location. I'll get an EX30 next.

A “Vegan” interior may matter to some hipster living in a studio apartment in Stockholm but I’ll stick with the cowhide that is a byproduct of the steak I have at least once a week. Admittedly I have vinyl in my Tesla Model 3, but there weren’t any other options. There is now with the BYD Seal.
I truly hate the European “Option Pack” system, where to get a couple of features you want, you have to pay for a whole bunch of stuff you don’t. Things that come as standard on the Model 3 and BYD Seal. That is the main reason I chose the M3 over the P2 two years ago.
It still has a transmission tunnel, so really only a 4 seater, even for short journeys. It still feels cramped in the driver’s seat with the console obstructing your left knee. And the cup holder layout is just nuts. I’m glad you thought the vents on top of the dash behind the display were good because I thought they were hopeless.
What did nearly tip me towards the P2 was it having a driver’s display, but for what they charge it should have a HUD as well, even if it was included in one of the packs. The Seal has one on both the Premium and Perfomance.
The Polestar 2 does have one advantage over the M3 and Seal and that is, it is a liftback. Much more convenient for loading cargo than posting it into boot opening of either the M3 or Seal. But it can’t compete on price with those two.

But why does it sit so high looking like a ute and so much unpainted trim. Styling looks kind of ugly. The price is way to high. No wonder why no one is buying these. I'll wait for a proper Volvo version.

Seal or new Model 3. Both much cheaper and way better looking. This thing looks so outdated and cheap with all that black unpainted plastic. However Polestar 4 is leagues above any if them.
