    Own a 2003 14060m it's my favorite Submariner. It's the last of the best Rolex Submariners. It has all the old school Rolex hallmarks as the 5513s. Just a little more souped up under the hood with a triplock crown and another 100m

      @@lonewolfemcquade8133 totally! The cal. 3130 in the ‘M’ makes for a solid workhorse. Thanks for the comment!

      You made perhaps the best decision for your first luxury dive watch. Kudos for going 5-digit neo-vintage. These look so much better than the latest ceramic subs.

    The only evolution that I would like after the 124060 is probably only have 2 lines of text at the lower side of the dial cuz everything else is pretty much perfect in this generation of Submariners.

    Were the hands not made in white gold yet? Also what happened to the ⚓️? Didn’t the older models get these as well ? Thx nice vid

      @northcoastwatches  24 дня назад +1

      The hands as well as the hour marker surrounds are white gold on the 14060 and 14060M. The anchor was never supplied with the 14060, sometimes it's seen with the 16610 and a specific 1220m/4000ft anchor was included with the Sea Dweller 16600 - you can see one of those in our 16600 review! Thanks for the comment!

    The 2 liner has no official COSC certification, o.k. - but how is the precision of this movement. Will it run according to COSC ?

    • @northcoastwatches
      @northcoastwatches  Месяц назад +1

      @@MrDolphin1957 it’s a great and interesting point you bring up! The cal. 3130, and the previously used cal. 3000 in the 14060 (non M) are both ‘COSC movements’ if you like. The interesting part is that it isn’t the movement that gains the COSC certification, but rather the watch reference as a whole. For example, if we look at the Rolex Explorer 14270 and 114270, they both use the cal. 3000 and cal. 3130 respetively and are COSC certified watches. It just so turns out that Rolex never had the 14060 or the 14060M COSC certified, even though both were using movements seen in other models which had COSC certification. A further interesting point is that around 2007, Rolex actually had the 14060M, running the same cal. 3130 movement, COSC certified - the model then gained the extra text on the dial and became known as the 4-liner. Therefore, as you can imagine, the precision of the movements are excellent, running to COSC, tried and tested with a long history of their reliability.
