"I HAS TO." Can you stop being adorable? So happy you finally got to Aeon. There's so much happening in this song that you can get lost, I got quite lost too when you mentioned "quick, quick and a long", I was like, wait what was that for again? Haha.
Heavier than 2020? That's gotta be Demon King by Brand of Sacrifice. The most brutal song I've ever heard this year. I mentioned this on Tank's reaction too. Be great if you guys kick off 2021 with some triple-fist in your face.

That ending is the build up and fade into the next track, "Agony". Honestly, at some point just do yourself a favour and listen to the entirety of the album (Helix) :)

I absolutely love when bands like this chuck in some classic hardcore stuff absolutely fantastic. Also can vouch for them playing this live the drummer is not human. They put on such a sick show! Watch their live performance from resurrection fest actually fuckn insane.

Hi Chase! If you want to check out a live version of the song Aeon you should see the live version at Ressurection Fest from Spain. It's absolute kick ass the whole gig, pure raw energy.
The drummer of Crystal Lake is also working as a producer for other bands. So if you wonder how it would sound if Crystal Lake were 4 young girls, mixing heavy breakdowns with Rap, Kawaii Vocals and a good portion of irony, his protegees Hanabie are yours to check out: ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html. I saw them live last year, it was my last concert before.... stuff happened. I had never heard of the band before, I just wanted to hear one song before the show and ended up with this one. So I expected a brutal and chaotic show....man was I right and wrong at the same time :D incredible show bye awsome talents and so diverse! Needless to say: I loved it!
Alpha + Omega also great songs, they build on each other. Unfortunately there is only a video for Omega

I appreciate you so much for tackling these Crystal Lake reactions, you obviously know they won’t top the views you get with Nightwish, Eluveitie or bands of that ilk, but I also remember that you came from a metalcore background and have such an appreciation for it like I do. You and Tank have been a blast to watch. Saw them live 3x last year! Super lucky, because foreign bands usually don't visit The Netherlands multiple times a year, let alone a Japanese band. I got this song all 3 times on video, because it's my favorite of theirs ^^. Recorded on my phone so be warned

Saw them open for miss may I, fit for a king, and August burns red. They were by far the best on the bill. Maybe biased because I was looking forward to them more than everyone else. But their energy live is off the charts.
I saw this band live before quarantine ruined the rest of shows this year and yes they can and will play this live and it is disgusting because they somehow made it heavier
You should try Crystal lake "up & down" from 2014 ep "cubes". Ryo first full release after joining Crystal lake in 2012 after the original vocalist left the band in 2011.
Classic pure hardcore/ metalcore.

As for the song, honestly everything from them is fire, but I would recommend to start with Hurricane since it tells the bands story.
there's normal blast beat speed, and then there's Behemoth blast beat speed. lol

Chase has said before it is just a sample music.
What really makes this song for me are actually not the blast beats, but the fantastic hardcore-ish chorus with these energizing riffs, and how it transitions between all those parts, that really makes this stand out for me. That riff in the chorus makes me want to destroy every furniture i have in my apartment haha

Although I admit this isn't my cup of tea. You definitely get an appreciation of it when someone who knows what they're talking about can break it down into terminology that regular non-musical folks can understand. Definite prop's to the drumming.

please listen to Ice Nine Kills! You are a fan of metal and horror movies and this band combines those two things perfectly, so this is DEFINITELY a must-listen. "The American Nightmare" or "Stabbing In The Dark" are sooo good!

well.. its a cool song and all. not bad. but its missing something for me. to me it sounds like its heavy just for the sake of being heavy. it needs emotion, it needs passion to drive the heaviness. Maybe its just me, but thats the beauty of opinions ;)
