Crystal Lake is a perfect example of a band that doesn't take themselves too seriously and just has a ton of fun while still making good, heavy, music with a good dose of technicality. That's actually a good way to describe the Japanese scene as a whole, honestly.

One of the best things to me about Crystal lake is that if you listen to 1 song from every album you can hear clear and massive progression on Ryo's vocal ability. One of the best growths in their specialty of any vocalist I've experienced in a bands existance.

I found Crystal Lake through the opening for an anime, Mayday by Coldrain w/ Ryo, its less heavy than Crystal Lake's stuff but still a good song. Definitely worth checking out

Let's go back a few years, to 2016. Looking for new music, I stumbled upon a reaction video by GALACTICRIMINAL. The band was Crystal Lake, and the song was Omega. That Blew. Me. Away. Drop F tuning, though at times I think they use a drop pedal so god knows how low it actually is 😂 I heard from somewhere they go 3 steps down, so from F that'd be a C I think?
Tuning is Drop F (on 7 strings guitars as you mentioned) and it indeed sounds deep and i recomand you to react to AEON next with a pitch drop to D1 for the breakdown with Drop F as main tuning

Personal favorites from this album is “Twisted Fate” and “the passage”, no music videos for them but definitely something to check out. Also I don’t think you have reacted to Fit for a King “god of fire” - pure power and guess who is guest singer on this one.
