If you're looking for a song from this band that's more quiet try listening to a song of theirs called, "Lost In Hollywood", no screaming and the vocals are quite unique but the song itself is somewhat disturbing because it talks about today's reality.
In each of the band's songs there is a critique of a certain political or social issue...there is always a hidden message expressed through their music. ( toxicity; B.Y.O.B; Arials... and so forth) Great musicians! It's a shame that due to disagreements in the band, we didn't get to enjoy a new album.
I really think System of a Sown is just different from Slipknot or Avenged 7fold. Don't get me wrong, both bands have amazing songs. For SOAD, look to the earlier comments for good suggestions in songs that are more easy on the ear. They have songs that are not so screamy and abrasive. The difference is this; all of System's songs are lyrically strong and say something powerful. Not discounting the other groups I'm comparing, but SOAD has a unique, poignant way about their music that isn't common in other groups.
