Ace made a mistake. It was the Turkish Government that denies the whole Armenian Genocide, not Armenia.

the song is about how as people we judge others based upon the way they die.
Daron used drug abuse as an example, saying if he were to die of drug abuse, people would say he deserved it for abusing drugs in the first place, and that when someone dies of something like a car accident it’s met with “oh poor thing” because they’re seen as ‘pure’ and haven’t done anything to warrant their death in others eyes (hence the line: “i cry when angels deserve to die”) but we don’t give that treatment out equally, especially to those who have taken their own life.
the lyrics stick with the topic of suicide in that context.
in a religious sense, suicide is deemed as sinful, and to those who don’t understand, it’s deemed as selfish, hence the line “i don’t think you trust in self-righteous suicide”.
I’d recommend checking out ‘Sugar’ or ‘Hypnotize’ as i think you guys would enjoy those.
(also, it’s the Turkish government that denies recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and continues to claim it was a legitimate action, not the Armenian government.)

Turks and the ottoman empire have a long history of genocide, attacks, and conquering (land grab) of many groups, including the Serbs, Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks

Song name comes from the song originally being called Suicide but the record label didn’t like it so they cut the word in half to Sui and added Chop because they chopped it in half.

Fantastic song. I love the organized chaos they manage.
I see this as a comment on mental health, that if somebody dies of disease or accident, it is a tragedy, but if somebody takes there life it is seen as a self righteous decision rather than the mental illness which it is.
I always thought it was about a woman in an abusive relationship contemplating suicide as a means of escape.

It's more accurate to say the Nazi Party. The Nazi party didn't want to (And still doesn't want to) acknowledge the things that happened. A lot of the party went to South America to hide, to try to escape
