Only discovered your channel a few weeks ago but I am really enjoying the content, I spent 18 months as a domestic electrician about 10 years ago before the company went bust and I ended up working in the commercial and industrial sector.

That's a really fair price considering what's involved and the standard of work expected. Around 2k cheaper than the equivalent down south but half what we'd charge for London.

Maryland’s, had a week from hell got taken of my electrical course cause had a dispute with the boss as he didn’t believe I had Covid rewatched your videos while emailing companies and already landed myself in a new job, back on the course getting the bag would top the week off moving up ⬆️!
Love the videos Nick! I watch yours and Jordans (Artisan) RUclips and really enjoy seeing the different way you do things. I struggle to price any job really because I never like asking people for money and I worry that they think its too expensive or im trying to rip them off even though 9/10 times its loads cheaper than others.
It’s a common thought ! If in doubt go slightly dearer then you normally would and drop price accordingly! Never feel guilty charging someone for your hard earnt labour and skills ! Consider this - solicitors charge £500 for half a days work ! What do they actually do ?? Fill a few forms out send a few emails and talk legal nonsense!! Most solicitors I’ve met know a whole lot about the law ( sometimes ) and not a lot about anything else ! In other words not only are they blood sucking vampires - they do not a lot for their money !! Electricians for the most part are bloody hard working and do not get the credit they deserve ! The assumption is , if you can’t see the work ( ie cable installation) then not a lot of work has happened! How wrong that perception is !

I'm a domestic spark and have focussed on day rate... NO MORE! The jobs never go to my time plan that I plucked out of thin air. The job is the job and you're spot on , that's what we should be being paid for. Great advice Nick, really useful pricing guide. Thank you.

Got our house rewired fully top to bottom in London about 20 years ago, cost £2.5k, including armoured to the garage but not a garage rewire
This time we've got a loft conversion and concrete floors so it's going to be much trickier and I'd expect it to cost loads more

I can honestly say I have never had marylands! As always a really good video and the transparency of pricing can only really help. I’m in Northampton and that requires looking at £7000 for the company I work for. Keep Up the good work and nearly 60k subs!

Maryland , we're from Wigan up north! we did a job in Bolton 3 storey terrace re wire Inc 20 spots usual number of sockets in rooms , garage feed and 6x cat 6 cables run throughout, £6300 not vat registered at the time 👍

I've got my own Business in the North East near Sunderland and Newcastle. Funny enough starting a rewire tomorrow with very similar setup to this property and my quote was £5500 and I work on parts & labour. Cool go get an idea on others pricing throughout the country. Wonder what Jordan would charge in Cambridge! Be probably £12k+

Just in the process of doing a full refurb and having it rewired. £2800 parts and labour, that's in Warwickshire. House is currently back to brick and floors up, so makes life alot easier for the sparky and I'm very happy with the price he quoted!

Do you want the 20 rewires ? You supply all materials and I’ll give give you £1000 every 3/4 bed semi is complete?? Let me know Walter!!

My old boss priced rewires at 2hrs a point plus materials which he put on 20% handling charge ,wasn't far wrong 👍

Sounds about right, people don't realise how hard a rewire is, so you want a decent return. I recently prices a similar house, similar quote, the firm that did the job did it for £2400, there was four of them on it for 3 days, needless to say the guy didn't make much on that, plus it was lived in.
