- A request from anon! Since Smosh has been doing Can Shayne guess series for quite awhile now so it's time to do some compilation for Shourtney. He's pretty much instantly guess Courtney in every video with no hesitation unlike on Damien turn he has to do some detective work.

It's worth mentioning that he's always gotten Courtney and Damien right. And since doing Smosh Cast he's been guessing Amanda almost immediately. It helps when he's had more conversational interaction with them.

@@Lucarioguild7 Yepyep. I'd say part of it is Shayne probably initiates conversations or actively takes interest in whatever his coworkers are saying. I struggle with continuing some conversations myself and showing my interest in people in a way that doesn't trigger my anxiety. But it's definitely doable if we engage people more

I think it’s also sweet that he’s never guessed Courtney (or Damien too lol) for anyone else and been wrong. Anytime those names come up it’s only for when it’s actually them

It's not said but my guess for the fist bump and the slap is that if Courtney was in the crowd and not the one to guess she'd laugh too, and the absence of her laugh would be noticeable for Shayne.

@@f.faucon6681 During this entire video I was trying to figure out what cues he bases his guesses on and when Courtney gets to the podium they take this deep breath so maybe Shayne heard it and thought "okay, someone had to take a deep breath to calm down before slapping me" and remembered that Courtney has mentioned before that they don't like hitting people in the face. Of course he could also have smelled their perfume/shampoo/other beauty product
I don't think it's a guess. He always knows when it's Courtney because they've been friends for years.They've both been in Smosh for almost a decade now.
@@f.faucon6681 yeah I've often thought this. Courtney's laugh is VERY distinct, and you can hear her pretty clearly during every turn, except obviously the turn where she's quiet due to being the slapper. That probably helped fa show.

As someone who married their best frined 10 years ago now, yeah these two are definitely in love. I know they only recently got married. But you can tell by this point they are so comfortable around one another that they know everything about each other.
Also Courtney made an Instagram post about 4 month ago that said "love is marrying your best friend, who makes you love yourself." It was an inspirational quote she re-posted. At the time no one thought she was talking about anyone in particular. As again, it just looked like a typical "motivational image" you see posted around social media. But now that they are husband and wife, it gives us an insight into their relationship and why she fell in love with him.
He knows her so well, they must be best friends :)

Pretty silly but I always get very giddy and happy when Courtney is being referred to as both "she" and "they". It's nice to have close ppl to you respect and use your preferred pronouns, and I'm glad she has that.
No cuz i get so happy too, its so often you see ppl with like she/they or he/they only be referred to as the gendered pronouns and almost never the gender neutral ones. Its just refreshing to see

He knows its her very simply due to his ability to listen to the crowd. Courtney's giggle is loud, and VERY distinct. It cuts through the crowd noises every single round. Suddenly a new person is approaching Shayne, someone makes a goofy noise, every laughs, and who's missing? There are multiple group laughs while Court is the slapper, and her missing laugh is OBVIOUS. The only answer to it being missing, is Courtney is the slapper, and being quiet to not give herself away. Its why he guesses so fast. He knows before he's even slapped.

Im gonna say besides the slap it is actually not that hard to guess Courtney cuz their personality is very distinct + someone who is vocal about what they like.
Yeah some are impressive. Music one is a legit snipe. Movies and TV Shows, shit I could've gotten those ones. She has tattoos for 2 of those films, she references Drag Race all the time, AND she has a Pink Ladies jacket lol pretty easy guesses. The video games one is a decent get, since I'd assumed Sims would be there too..... I think the slap is actually really easy. Courtney has a very loud and distinct laugh, that in every other round, cuts through the crowds noise easily.... suddenly its not there.... obviously the slapper for this round is Courtney lol
