@@Tstormer😂😂what
that farmer is gonna be going crazy seeing these 2 people disappear into those trees and then never seen again 😂😂

She was glitching and kept opening a dialogue box over and over. Frustrating.
Can someone do a skyrim remix of that?

Nice of her though
the goats of the adventure scene. getting a platinum run is insane, nevermind the fact that it looks like you guys didn’t even break a sweat while doing it
I can't tell if this is easier than it looks from watching Geowizard or if they are just really good at this
@@tomwilliams191 i mean i know that at least one of these guys is like an insane runner. While trecking thru the woods at night sucks from personal experiance. between that and changing lines and conditions I would say Geo wiz had the harder route but with less risk of personal intervention from land owners. plus its all about story telling. In the end I would say these guys are pretty much smashing the straight line runs and would be hard to beat in any race
You can tell their young by how they rarely comment on how dangerous the fallen trees compared to geowizard who you can tell is about to be a dad and is very conscious of the stupidity of going over all the logs
I think an overlooked difference is that Geowizard is on his own, so if he does fall then he is very unlikely to get help anytime soon. And if he does get help it will be from his wife who he will be putting into danger.
These guys have each other as well as a much bigger support team, and seemingly even a drone too.
Thanks, very true also
Geowizard was on wet trees while these 2 were on a much smaller section of dry trees. When Geowizard was on dry trees it was much easier and he stayed in the platinum zone during those times
Geowizard's run was much more dangerous and entailed a LOT more suffering, but far less farmland so yea. Just different.
‘Impressive skills as fun runners’… it’s all for the greater good, boys!
12:53 best moment for humming that melody 😄
I caught myself humming that melody in the woods the other day. I blame these guys 100%.
It really is just the theme song of straight line missions now, isn't it? Lol
It's crazy how theses two guys just go through the entire country out of sheer cheekyness and lack of fear of death
You should have tasted the seawater to make sure it was salty. Congrats on the platinum run though 👏
You can't say both. First of all, they still had 10 m to stand in the actual sea and not some rock pool and they didn't taste the salt water. So no congrats at all.
@@scipioafricanus5871 it tastes of shit in UK

That's a fantastic idea!
Yes, support crews making it too easy.

Interesting to see all those farms in the daytime. Balls of steel, lads.

That lady at the end hasn’t spoken to anyone in 15 years 💀
Good job lads with a Platinum run!
Surreal watching this after geowiz, you guys sure have a brisk pace. Kinda wanna see you guys attempt Finland, would be almost double the distance and would be bound to have some funky terrain on such a long stretch.
finland is probably 0.0001% possible
@@ccoiser sounds realistic for archie lol
One could do it up in the "arm" of Finland going from Norway to Sweden, but would that be against the rules?
@@maxwelljeremy5659 would be kinda lame imo lol, just like 40km
they both have good endurance abilities
I've had an idea... Triangular Missioning. From a starting point, walk as far as you can in one direction in a straight line, turn 60 degrees and walk the same distance, then repeat until you are back where you started. The challenge becomes, what is the largest triangle to can complete.
After so many angry farmer escapes I was waiting for Miss Marple at the end to call the police to meet you at the final road crossing. : )
Well done lads: epic straightlining!
Bang on the line!
Guinness well deserved 👍
Platinum run across England is nuts, what a run.
Didn't taste the saltwater, doesn't count
Not to mention 10 meters still left to reach the salt water.
Aghh yes the two lads dressed in combats bricking it over an old farmer 😂😂😂😂😂

Brilliant run, well done! That well-meaning woman near the end was hilarious!
Sometimes people are just TOO helpful, aren't they?
"Excuse me, Miss... but we would really appreciate it if you would just bugger off and mind your own business, like a proper Englishwoman."
Singing the Geowizard theme tune is such a nice touch. I love the relationship you guys have with him. Its the most wholesome and respectful competition on RUclips
Amazing mission once again lads! Keep em coming!!
Nice one lads, platinum is some achievement.
How dare you not be normal, i must intervene.
Landlords lead such loveless lives that the only thing that brings them any happiness is finding people who are mere milimetres on "their land".
They're farmers. They're literally farming most of the time. That's much harder work than you do
Mmmhm. Yeah, well. My dad has a small farm. It's in Eastern Europe and has been in the family for some good 140 years. Nice, secluded place, but we constantly have problems with berry foragers who'd like to forage in our bog (which we're okay with), but doing so by walking across our land, despite there being a designated car road for them to take to the bog, with a big ass sign. The latest trespasser however was the best. Literally caught her speeding back to her parked car across our land with her big ass binoculars in her hand. We asked what the hell she was doing there, she mumbled something about 'looking for a hiking trail'. There are no known hiking trails in the area. Later we found out that she was a scout for a group of people who had been robbingthe secluded rural farms. So there's that. That's the thing with farms: they are secluded, so they're easy targets for robbery. If I see a pair of strangers running across my land, I absolutely will have questions about what tf they're doing on my land. Millimeters and all.
@@sowianskizonierz2693Not much crops to be collected on a by-way off a road. Id get it if they were actually doing any harm.
@@sowianskizonierz2693I hate my job so I do try not to work too hard.

Any particular reason why both you and GeoWizard seem allergic to wrist/neck straps for the GPS?
You pass over so many areas where if you dropped it, it would just be game over, and not having it secured, especially when you're carrying it in your teeth, just sends my anxiety through the roof lol.
Cause it's a good way to hang yourself
They love the danger.
Geo literally lost his phone, which highlights your point even more I think
You need to keep an eye on it all the time to make sure youre not straying off the line. It would be much too much of a hastle to have it strapped on neck, and if was on your wrist it could get in the way of climbing. Thats my guess anyway.
@@keeksputels1851 You realize with a long neck strap, maybe even a retracting one, like those nurses and doctors use for their credentials, you could keep it in your hand at all times, while still not risking it falling?
And ya, it being dangling from a wrist strap might be a little inconvenient, but as is they're often still holding it while climbing, which has to be way worse.
Can't wait for the straight line cycle mission
You madlads have done it! congrats!
"congratulations to geowizard for being the first first to complete a bronze run" 😂 you did him dirty you mean first
Congrats guys. Ive thought of doing a straight line across Slovakia, but we dont have McDonalds frequent enough to fuel me through it. 🙃
Brilliant effort guys, bit reckless at times but got to give it to you, platinum is unbelievable!
Absolutely amazing effort guys, Huge congratulations!!!!
I considered the Purdy Lodge shot at 16:32 a tribute to GeoWizard who mentioned it in almost each of his videos.
1:23 That's what i was thinking with all these 'straight line' vids. Sneaky sneaky for no reason. FIrst, there is no danger in meeting a farmer, and second, if you call those farmers in advance and ask them permission, 95% is gonna give you a go and wish you luck.. THAT would be good preperation.
At least you can prepare better next time.
"Oh no, fallen trees!"
"Wait, I got this..." *pulls out chainsaw from backpack*
Good job guys. I enjoyed it very much thank you
Congratulations on the platinum!
I think I've figured out how a straight line across the Netherlands might, might be possible. You start at the border southeast of Arnhem, and then you draw a line going roughly north to northwest, ending up on Vlieland. That way you get about 44 km of "Veluwe", the only proper sized forest in the country, about the same distance in farmland, and the rest of the 171 km (yes, !) or so journey is 3 major stretches of lake and sea. They do have some challenges though. The main lake part is about 53 km, which is pretty long for say a single day of mostly untrained kayaking, and the sea bit has lots of shallows that might hinder any larger vessels.
On second thought, maybe start at Vlieland, do the death gauntlet of train lines and roads that is the only piece of normal Netherlands you have to cross at the end.
(The "cheaters" altenative would be cutting across Limburg, where the distance between Germany and Belgium gets as small as 5 km. I can't see a clean line, but with those distances it should be possible. Not sure that one should count.)
((And then there's the super-cheaters variant, just walking along the "Kerkstraat" in Baarle-Nassau for 130 meters.))
It would be really fun to see them curse at the endless ditches lol.
Jaaa cool man! Heb ook al een paar keer geprobeerd een lijn te maken maar ´t is me nog niet gelukt.. Behalve Limburg idd
😄
That railway line reveal lol😂
Amazing work
Excellent job boys and support team!
4:09 Love the Hot Fuzz reference.
I really appreciate the colored subtitles.
Wonderful job, dedicated to staying on the line without deviations
Staying on the line but finishing in a rock pool 10 m from the actual sea. Doesn't count.
Well done Guys, top class missioning.
Great videos and mission, well done on a platinum run
You absolute demons! After seeing the Wizard have to deviate quite a bit I was curious to see how dedicated to the platinum you boys would be and you smashed it, congrats on a great run!
Sod the people trying to discredit you for one reason or another as well. A very different kind of challenge but I too have people try to tell me how I've broken whatever made up rules, cheated this and cheated that when there's no real ruleset and without fail the people complaining haven't uploaded a run of their own. Maybe the rope down the crag in Wales was a touch too far but I don't see how people can complain about you being brought food when you're not trying to claim these as solo or unsupported runs. Looking forward to whatever's next for you lot!
I think people tend to forget that Tom is all on his own out there. If he takes a bad fall and hurt himself, it may be hours before anyone even starts to worry. So him being a little more cautious than the powerhouse boys are totally understandable
Massive achievement on both parts!
@@flatnicable Doesn't matter. These guys got platinum while Tom didn't. End of story.
@@gihanprabash I beg to differ their different circumstances matter as they faced different challenges on their missions, that however doesn't take away from the massive achievement of both teams in completing their respective missions be it bronze or platinum and anyone trying to detract from either of them can go get stuffed.
@@gihanprabashi like your profile pic. Suits a backseat couch potatoe perfectly. :)
Impressive achievement!
One of your older missions had like no music and was very noticeable for me this one was brilliant and the guitar riff at the end coming to the line and the hype nature of you guys finishing gave me classic Top Gear vibes!
Fantastic job guys! You've really put in the effort towards these missions and challenges. I've been watching since your first straight line, and it's been really great to see your videos improve and your channel grow!
I'll be honest, your platinum run is exactly what a straight line mission is all about. You face self imposed challenges along the way *because* it's a straight line mission, you can't just go 70+ meters around a problem, you have to go as straight through it as possible. That's the whole point!
Excited for your future videos and endeavors, cheers!
Didn't see you taste the sea? How do we know that's the real coast if you don't taste it for saltiness?
To be fair in Tory or Starmer Britain, tasting the sea is quite unappertising.
You guys are mad! Ngl GeoWizard is the OG of these missions and him being alone makes his accomplishement just as about as insane as yours, but coming from a pure objective performance standpoint you guys figured out the best way to do it being together, having a support crew, choosing the best line and just taking risks when needed. These missions are high risk, high reward if you wanna have a platinum run and it absolutely payed off here! Would love to see you doing a non-english-speaking country next tho, maybe on mainland Europe? Cheers to your success!
Still not sure what the reward is in this case. Nobody is sponsoring this. They make nothing from this and get only bragging rights. Are you sure bragging rights are worth risking impalement? These missions are high risk, high entertainment, not reward.
@@broshmosh Reward isn't always about monetary value, their reward is their own sense of self accomplishment of succeeding at a challenge that they enjoy doing. For some people extreme activities are indeed worth the risk of injury or even death regardless of any monetary reward.
The problem is, it makes for a less interesting video though.
It's too organised and "regardless, we're just doing it anyway" workmanlike.
Congrats on platinum :D
Congratulations on your platinum run - a 20m deviation is incredibly impressive. Your line did look easier than Tom's but that could well be down to better route planning and research (and as you say, he likes to be dramatic😉). I admire the respect both your channels show to each other. Do you think you could straight line across a US state? Rhode Island strikes me as potentially possible!?
I think they just chose more farmland and took risks with the farmers.
98.9 B. Score. WELL DONE LADS!

they did another route and they did it together. both did exceptional jobs but not a real fair comparison
It seems like you guys traded the safety of woods for more farmland and while there were close calls, you got through it without getting busted. Congrats!
Well played, lads.
Any ice coming off those wind turbines can also slice you!
awesome job! Definitely straighter than @GeoWizard :P Still you guys can learn a thing or 2 from his soothing commentary and music ;)
You have the straight lining crown (longest continuous platinum run)- fantastic effort lads.
Considering that Geo's line was much much harder- would you consider a redux where you do each other's lines and try to beat the other's respective Berdell Score?
Well done guys, I got to say that I really hoped for you to be as stubborn on the platinum as you were, as I was a fair bit disappointed in Tom who seemed to be a lot more lenient to compromise. Given that he was alone, not as young and reckless anymore and also carries more responsibility, I fully understand and respect his approach. But I do want to see a straight line missioner try their hardest to stay as close to the line as possible. You need to be a bit stupid to put this obscure goal over careful consideration and that is why I am glad you guys decided to take up the torch from Tom. Your youth provides the stupidity necessary to commit to the line.
To be fair, when Geo was crossing those dead trees they were absolutely wet and slippery. A fair few of his days were raining.
Crossing a slippery dead tree 4 metres in the air is extremely stupid.
Which I'm not saying I also wasn't a bit disappointed, but I get it.
@HolyTurtleOfDoom that's a line planning problem tbh. Which is just as much a failing.
That's the big bonus of doing it with 2 people, if you do get hurt you have someone to rely on.

@@bornwithawoodenleg mate, that was during COVID - nowt about the 'right to roam'.
Surely you still can't walk through farmers fields and people's backyards?
@@eamon1648 There are trespass laws in Scotland but they only exist outwith the Land Reform Act of 2003 and the Access Rights therein.
If you're interested I suggest you read up on them - I mean that genuinely, because they are such valued rights here in Scotland and under constant threat from landowners, especially those that own large hunting estates.
But essentially for the right of passage for recreation and wild camping - yes, you absolutely can go through agricultural land that is fallow as long as you don't damage anything.
Someone's back garden is a bit trickier because the access rights don't cover that. I would still suggest it would be very difficult to obtain either civil and criminal redress against someone for simply crossing through your land. And since there is no redress against the 'public at large' - a criminal conviction as long as one was exercising their rights would be near impossible - even on government/military land.
@@williamparis500 interesting, the non criminal aspect is similar to England, they're not breaking the law unless they're asked to leave.

They have a friendly rivalry with Geowizard. The problem isn't between them, so why are people trying to create something out of nothing?
what comments are you even talking about everyone is hyped
It's more that there's more to this than how close the line is.
Like actually making it much more entertaining and engaging, the way GeoWizard does.
Good job paying off all those farmers guys! Seriously though, everything came together for this run, the weather, the line, the luck! Well done
Would love to see you guys do a no roads mission like Tom through an urban environment! Getting across a town or city without being able to walk down a road only across.
I think it's time these lads come up with an original idea. Not trying to throw shade, they are very talented and dedicated, but they have been going off the back of other channels like GeoWizard and Ed Pratt, I think if they want to truly achieve success on RUclips they need to come up with their own challenges or they will forever just be following the footsteps of others (albeit doing it better). I think it also doesn't help that during these challenges they like to make jokes and rib the person they are "inspired by". I get this is just banter from young lads but it seems mean spirited.
They're far, far less risk-averse so I think they'd do it with ease. Possible confrontation doesn't seem to deter them, and it's not like anyone's going to man-handle you away from anywhere.
@@yellowfolder that's why I'd be interested in seeing them do it, they could choose a much longer or riskier line, they're just simply far fitter than geowizard and more willing to take risks. Equally they could come up with a completely new challenge idea.
