Nebraska fans this is a safe space. Vent below ⬇️
Average Nebraska Moment 🗿
Nebraska fan😅
Nebraska gonna Nebraska
Luckily watching Nebraska football my whole life has prepared me for a lifetime of dick punching.. I'm numb to it now. It's almost insane the luck we've had the past 8 ish years.. It's gotta change someday
As an honest Nebraska fan we should fire Matt rhule
1. The fumble
2. The 4th down face mask
3. The near INT
4. The TD on 4th down
5. The INT
6. The big gain on the draw
Nebraska blew 6 chances in 3 minutes.
True plus we didn't get any points in the redzone at the end of the first half
Also a clear missed false start on the TD at 1:47
Minnesota also had its own list of blunders. First game of the season, and both teams were rusty.
You forgot to mention Nebraska completely wasted opportunity to kick a fg on 4th down before halftime. Had they taken the points instead of trying for td, they would have won the game.
The TD on 4th Down would not be a TD in the NFL...an NFL completion is a catch, 2 feet in bounds, and then a football move or securing the ball.
This is so much better than the official highlights video
ESPN posts godawful highlights
@@pschighlights How did ESPN post those highlights? Fox broadcasted this game.
@@saintbrownthetrojanThere could be a lawsuit soon. Fox won’t like that when they find out ESPN is using their game.
@@pschighlightsyou are my ESPN at this point
@@pschighlightsyeah that’s why I’m sad your not gonna post anymore this was my go to when I missed psu games
Nebraska really takes "Whats the worst that can go wrong" seriously.
LOL. So true!
What?Winning big every year can dry up.Hrvest and now drought
New coach
New team
Same old Nebraska
"Old Nebraska" won and competed for national titles. I hate new Nebraska.
It was game one of year one. I love how casuals talk about college football, it's hilarious.
@@DirtyBanditableThey lost game one year one last year too dummy. You’re the casual to think Nebraska will actually be good
You realize Matt ruhle doesn’t rebuild in the first year he’s usually awful in the first year and the as he progresses he turns the team into a good program
Yes because Nebraska never won nor competed for a national championship. And this is totally not Matt Rhule’s first game as a coach.
Taxes, death, and Nebraska choking away a lead & losing the things I can count on in life
as a ucf fan, Scott Frost leaving for Nebraska destroyed his career as a coach. I think he could’ve done so much more with ucf
Can’t hate him for wanting to coach at his alma mater. But you’re right about it destroying his career, it couldn’t have gone worse.
@haroldhall1517 It's gonna come down to the qb play. Plumlee is a really strong runner, but when it comes to passing, he is so mistake prone. He's gonna have to do better than 3 turnovers now that they're in a harder division.
What would you do if you’re frost? You are leaving for way more money & resources at a sleeping giant & alma mater. Plus UCF is gonna lose out on the smurf turf against Boise St. I’m an Nevada alum whom is a kool-ade drinking Husker fan.
@@JH-qg9jj they shoulda kept him longer
I loved Frost when he was at UCF but time has shown he is actually a terrible coach. Imo UCF dodged a bullet.
Nebraska and their coaches are like that one friend who claims all their exes were “crazy”
"All nine of my ex-wives cheated on me"
What a perfect comparison. Just complete denial.
If _all_ your exes are crazy, then the problem isn't your exes, it's your taste in partners.
Yes, we are garbage.
Spot on 😂😂😂
When the final kick went through, I just said, out loud to myself, alone in my living room, “Oh, Nebraska . . .”
I’m at the point where I have no reaction anymore, no emotions, just pure numbness to our losses. I gave up getting mad and angry and literally driving myself insane with every-time we lose. When I see our team lose I just don’t even say anything and will get up and turn off the tv and move onto whatever it is I do and just forget about it. Don’t get me wrong I still believe in this team and I always will, I’ll always have faith that one day we will be back on top and I even know that one day we will. But I’ve just stopped reacting to this teams outcomes. Until the day we can actually get something going I’m just going to keep my mouth shut and not let these losses affect me.
It felt like he was going to miss the final field goal then when Rhule called a timeout I knew he would now make it.
I know that the Cubs had the Curse of the Goat. It seems as if there is a similar curse on Nebraska. What's the story?
I had the remote in hand when they were lining up for the kick. When it was halfway there I could tell it was good. I hit the power button before it went through. Didn’t say a word, just went straight to bed.
Nebraska; snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!
this is literally the most nebraska thing ever
Never gets old watching Nebraska self-destruct. Same school that fired coaches that went 9-3 😂
Mark richt went 9-3 his last year a UGA. Kirby lost to Vandy his first year, and the rest is history.
I've turned to approaching each game as "we'll find some way to lose this", much easier on my mental health
I have been told by family in Neb that Solich was fired for other reasons than job performance.
@@dexterwestin3747 was referring more to Pelini but yeah Solich did well too, it just wasn’t “good enough”
@@sickbonfiresbroI know you aren’t trying to compare your situation to UGAs😂. UGA was winning games under Mark Richt. Nebraska was and still seems to be on the decline
A time honored Nebraska tradition, Glory to the B1G West!
There is no way Bo Pelini didn't curse the program when he left in 2015, they suffered literally every year since he got fired
The firing of Solich was the damaging choice...everything after that has been decline.
@@dclark142002 Bo was not a decline
Nebraska cursed themselves when they fired Bo Pelini, a consistent winner. Just like OSU cursed themselves with Cooper after firing Earle Bruce.
@@dclark142002Had nothing to do with any of these things. When Nebraska ditched the Big 12, they cursed themselves.
Bruh they were trash prior to him as well
As someone who was in high school when the Huskers won back-to-back national titles in 1970 and 1971 and who watched them capture three more championships in the 1990s, the precipitous decline of Nebraska's football program is shocking.
I watched the 90's dominant Nebraska. What I saw in college football was that many colleges were transitioning their offensive schemes to mimic the NFL. This made sense and those early adopters of this strategy seem to have more players who wanted to play in the NFL want to go to colleges because the transition from college to the pros was much easier and I think Nebraska was very slow to adopt this type of strategy. Look at the top teams and see how they run their offense and defense and compare how many players from those teams make it to the NFL. It's not a coincidence. Nebraska didn't change with the times and didn't stay competitive enough to draw talent.
@@kmiller6500That was beautiful. A perfect explanation. That's exactly what happened. They refused to adjust to the modern game.
Everybody else takes steroids now
I was around in the '90s when Nebraska was synonymous with powerhouse - hard-nosed, hard-hitting, always a contender.
Man you're lucky to have been alive to witness that. I'm 23 and the Huskers have been bad for nearly half of my life now, still love them even though they hate me it seems lol.
On the flip side of Nebraska:
Minnesota always lost games like this under Mason and Brewster
Under Mason, they inexplicably won games they had no business winning, and lost winnable games where they seemed disinterested. Brewster, IMO was The Reverend Sunny Jim Wacker reincarnated.
Never been crazy about Fleck, but I’ll take him over the Lou Holz and Jerry Kill clown shows.
We all know College football is back when you hear Gus Johnson calling the shots. Tough break for Nebraska tho. Mistakes that shouldn’t have happened really costed them
Yup, his fake Woah! And his over the top screaming...
Chalk on chalkboard.
Truly something to mute.
@@dclark142002you must be fun at- you know what, you’re just not fun at all.
@@dclark142002never met someone who dislikes Gus Johnson before

@falcon1378 I rather see enthusiasm then announcers who are bored off their ass like Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit on pretty much all Thursday games last year.
What a great catch by Jackson. Talk about awareness and knowing where you're at on the field. He knew he had to get his back foot down before the front one hit and at the same time securing the ball. Great athletism.
Great catch and a great call by the referee. That's as close of a call as I've seen confirmed.
THAT catch was better than ANY one-hander I've ever seen
Dude right. I still can’t believe that shit
When we went up 10-3 my dad was excited and I had to tell him what I always tell him. NEBRASKA WILL FIND A WAY!
the moment they fumbled the ball i knew it was over
"we"? what position do you play?
@@rockcundiff1761Chill out . Fans say we all the time. You thought you were something asking that. Slow your roll slim
I remember when Nebraska used to be feared. Like when they annihilated a really good Florida team for the national championship.
@rockcundiff1761 He plays the most important position of all. The QB is absolutely nothing compared to this position. I guess you need a “welcome to America” sign here. It’s called the fan. Without fans the team doesn’t exist and can not exist. If all the fans quit tomorrow the team will have to fold. That goes for any sport. Can’t stay alive without fans giving $$$$ that’s a little thing called reality.
You know it's college football season when Gus Johnson is in the booth and Nebraska is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Welcome to the Big Ten Matt! May your losses be as legendary as Coach Frost.
Gotta say, I LOVE the new graphics Fox has for these college games now. Lots of little touches leaning on the "college" aspect of college football that I really appreciate. :)
I agree. The scoreboard is nice
it’s simple and fun i like it
It’s a little too Nickelodeon for me
Love it looks like some of the old ncaa football games
@@jimmartin2548thats the fun part
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory AGAIN.
How they continue to choke harder than the Falcons stuns me.
Having Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt to cover this insane ending was excellent
Get used to it Matt Rhule, Nebraska is where CHOKE happens.
There is nothing like being a fan of a team in the situation Nebraska was in right after that last pick. Despite the score being 10-10 and neither team being able to do anything offensively all game, its somehow a guarantee that the other team is about to march down the field and score.
It’s like Scott Frost never left
P A I N . Excruciating pain, i am not a nebraska fan, I am just amazed at how consistently this team loses one score games, it’s like they are cursed
Nebraska has developed fetish for trying to imitate the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers in recent years.
For me, it was so much fun to watch.
@@Empr4evrnah. the falcons.
After that fumble I said to my tv "oh no Nebraska. Not again." Yup. Again. Nebraska are masters at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Even without Scott frost they still lose LOL 😂
You know college football is back when Nebraska is blowing games in unexpected ways… LOVE IT
Haven’t we suffered enough?
@@TJ-bk9vfnope
Yes, sir. Nobody blows like the CornShuckers
Nebraska used to be like Georgia or Ohio State when I was a kid. Always right there in the discussion every year. They’ve fallen further than any other program in the past 20 years imo
It all went to shit on that cold late November afternoon in Boulder Colorado in 2001.
@@CircusOfValues-BH486The fall of Syracuse is very strange, especially Pasqualoni just looking like he completely forgot how to coach around 2001. They just sunk overnight it seems. The only thing you can maybe factor in is more teams like Rutgers and UConn in the region trying to elevate football but even then they weren't good. It isn't like they weren't already having to fight Pitt, Penn St, Boston College or WVU for talent, they just simply stopped drawing top players there.
Lifelong Nebraska fan here. At the end of the game, my wife and I looked at each other and said, "No. Not again."
At this point I think Nebraska is just cursed
Me too. I could understand if they just lost to a better team, but to have the ball and a 7 point lead with 4 minutes to go, and lose is some kind of curse.
That is one of the best toe drag touchdowns I have even seen. Not sure how he managed that. Impressive.
I was born in the 80s and whenever I see Nebraska play I think to myself “why aren’t the running the option?”. Those were some good years
Yes they were.
As a Mizzou fan/victim, I feel the pain. We often find unlikely and crushing ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Bro that Georgia game.... Im an Alabama fan but i was so hyped watching them dominate that entire game even though i kept saying "some how some way, Goergia will win" and they did.
Mizzou has been that way for decades. Not just football either
Mizzou and nebraska need to go back to the big 12
Gopher fan here. No doubt, Nebraska is a much better team than they were last year. Despite the turnovers, they played hard and with conviction. Minnesota was VERY lucky to win this game. Whatever Rhule has done so far seems to be working.
Rhule isn’t doing shit. Because he couldn’t prevent the pain that is Nebraska football.
Lucky? The facemask was lucky i guess but what else was lucky about any of that? They outplayed them at the end of the game
@@mikexxxmilly A very clear touchdown at the end of the first half called a no touchdown. Outplayed at the end sure, but you cant outplay a 17 point deficit if that had counted. So yeah, Minnesota WAS very lucky.
They are super lucky that #69 for Minnesota didn't get called for the false start on that 4th & 10 touchdown at the 1:48 mark!
@@Flakester but does the rest of the game get played out the same way? Maybe
Now your probably wondering: How did this get fumbled?
Nebraska fucked around and found out.
We turned the ball over 4 times. We fucked around all right
@@cornhuskerfevertbf this probably doesn’t happen if the false start on the touchdown was actually called but it’s still really bad
Lmao
@@superguy111still could’ve stopped Them on that td though 🤷🏻♂️. Just a great route
@@recemessmer3048 that’s why I said it was really bad. They shouldn’t have been in that position at all. However 4th and 15 is a lot harder than 4th and 10
that toe drag by Jackon was insane. what a catch
Too bad the left tackle clearly started before the ball was snapped. At 1.48 you can clearly see if you slow down the playback speed to 0.25 that he was jumping every single time. Convenient no-call to give the home team a little boost.
@@texaswunderkind That's not really considered a false start, just timing it perfectly. Lane Johnson on the eagles does this all the time and is now considered good technique.
I like how Minnesota ran the same short out pass over and over
Run that play until the other team proves it can stop it.
Average Nebraska loss
Yea not too bad by their standards tbh
My relationship with Nebraska football seems like an emotionally abusive relationship at this point
New coach and Nebraska doing Nebraska things, blowing games.
Nebraska fans live in Spain without the “S”
There goes our seasons drought😭
The more things change, the more they stay the same
Based on Colorado's amazing upset at TCU, I shudder to think about what Coach Prime's Buffs might do to the Huskers in Boulder.
I'm surprised CU only dropped 36 on them. I was convinced thr Buffs could have dropped 60 on the Huskers if they had their offense going in the first half.
Nice selection Trev!!!
Just a panthers fan coming to make this glorious Friday better . Have fun with Rhule and be blessed y’all 🙏🏾🫶🏾
Man, as a hokie i always have respect for nebraska since they both had a good series in the late 2000s but it feels like that was the last time either of us were good.
Matt Rhule, Welcome to Nebraska!
Every. Single. Time. It happens!
Gophers fans here, was at this game last night I told every Nebraska fan there they out played us for 50 (now realizing it was 55) of the 60 minutes. Fun game but we figured out a way to pull it out in the end.
No, Nebraska found a way to lose. Any time we are up going into the second half I genuinely say to myself, "[insert coach] has gotta be working real hard in the locker room game planning how we're gonna lose this in a more spectacular way than the last time."
They never fail to amaze.
This is already brutal, but I hate seeing Jeff Sims losing brutally yet again as a GT fan. He deserves better, though he did kinda do himself in a bit on this one.
Bro was running for his life most of the game, and had some terrible play calling, definitely could have played better, but it's the first game of the year
You can have him back if you want
Usually I don't judge a QB by one game but after watching this guy, I said to myself "this is going to be a long season". He locked onto and stared down receivers, had poor field vision, poor accuracy, stared at the rush instead of downfield. If they still ran the triple option I would be ok with this guy but in this system is Haarberg or Brock's brother not a better option?
He deserves to sit the bench, he’s awful, his career stats are awful too. He stares down receivers and makes awful decision, switch him to runningback or receiver
@@Scheboygan8767 Benching Sims would be a terrible decision. Chubba Purdy showed last year that he's not an FBS QB and I doubt Haarberg is any better than Sims. They should have just kept Casey Thompson for this year until they could get someone else in. That would have won them this game.
PSC Highlights, Uncle Lou rants, and Nebraska blown leads. Football's back, boys!
Just want to say, it’s nice to see you again PSC. Welcome back to college football 💪🏼
PSC, you're doing the lords work by posting this stuff. Thank you
Jeff Sims is dynamic when the pocket collapses, but mostly with his legs. I think the panic sets in a tad bit when he tries to throw on the run, add to that the fact that he's not the most accurate, and you get a game like today. I knew him last year when he was at Georgia Tech, great kid.
He's not a good quarterback against good defenses that pressure him. JJ McCarthy is an example of a good qb that can manage tough defenses (but maybe I'm cherry picking, because M o-line is insane). Not all qb can do well under pressure.
Sims has physical talents but not a field general.
At the same time, Nebraska doesn't seem to have WRs that can break free and pressure the defense. And they don't have a solid RB who can complement Sims. Nebraska depends too much on Sims.
Unbelievable close game by Nebraska and Minnesota! GG to both teams last night!
That catch is a poster all day. Incredible
“Intercepted! WhOa!” 😭😭 3:06
Nebraska gonna Nebraska
i cant do this anymore
Bro.. I can't either.. I've been excited since Rhule was hired and with 5 minutes left in the game, I was excited.. Nebraska is freaking cursed. We sold our souls for the 90's
That was one of the best toe tap catches for a touchdown I've seen.
That TD catch was excellent. The toe touch.. beauty
The umpire throwing the flag on the facemask is looking right at a blatant hold by #55 against the defender that grabbed the facemask. That was brutal.
1:09 time stamp for those who want to see this.
Look at the left tackle for Minnesota leaving early on the 4th and 10 touchdown to tie it, the left tackle had like 2 false start penalties he could’ve had like 40 !! He was leaving early all game cause he was getting beat
Me as a husker fan watching all these events happen 😂 I’m so use these types of silly plays it seems to me this is the stuff years to come 😂
how do you feel about the impending doom against the buffs?
Been a Husker fan my whole life, grew up in the Osborne era and discussed the last few years with my Omaha-born and raised dad, we both agreed that these are first game-of-the-season mistakes that can be tuned up. The problem is they KEEP making the same mistakes all season for a few years now. I think we have all lost count how many times Nebraska has played well for a good part of a game and then shoot themselves in the foot at the end. The heartbreak of being a Husker fan is you can see the promise and potential there, it just keeps getting ruined.
I love the thumbnail. Sims was like: Why am I here?
man I want Nebraska to do well every year and they always let me down. I couldn't imagine being a Huskers fan, I hope yall are holding it together
It's been tough sledding being a Husker fan.
They'll always have women's volleyball
I just go and revisit my VHS collection of mid to late '90's.
@@hobbycollectinvest4250 most fans ever at a women’s sporting event! Still trying to figure out how that happened

Miss those 70 and 80 games between OU and Nebraska
This was a really fun game to watch!!
As a Longhorn fan, I can really sympathize with Cornhusker fans. Just seems like our teams forgot how to win. Bad things seem to happen at the worst times.
No one does less with more than Texas.
What you want is the opposite: make the play when it counts the most.
Y’all are still going to bowl games and getting 5 stars, Nebraskas just shit all around. You can’t compare your pain to ours when it’s not even close

What a game!!!! Great job Gophs!
That was a spectacular TD catch
I remember in 1983 when then #1 Nebraska put up 83 points on the Gophers and they didn't try to run up the score. All 60 players who traveled for Nebraska played by the 3rd quarter. They could have put up 150 points. I guess 40 years later, the Gophers were due some breaks.
Jeff sims threw 3 interceptions
That was an incredible toe tap TD 😮
Best toe drag ive ever seen. Thats incredible control
Hey man, Florida made some really funny mistakes against my Utes. Like 2 players with the same number on the field for special teams. Plus a screen pass on 4th and 14.
However, they had a receiver who made a hell of a TD catch. And he didn’t react right away.

Glad you find entertainment in something considering you pull for 2 of the biggest jokes in pro and college football.
Both teams should be improved by the time we get to them
Both qbs made terrible decisions with the football that iowas defense should feast on
Gator fan here the B1G is my 2nd favorite conference, that was a straight up dogfight 🔥
I do love this current version of Nebraska football. Delightful!
That false start on the tying TD pissed me of so bad. Not only did they take away a TD in the first half and nitpick nebraska on false starts. They let them get away with it
That bugged me too...
From what I saw, Nebraska played pretty tough, their coaches and players can learn from this and will be winning games down the road this season.
2:08 That foot work, though. Absolute crazy coordination right there.
That embrace at the end is a little intense.. lmfao
Scoring 10 points in a game is brutal. Bottom line.
Coming from a Michigan fan atleast you guys got a defense where frost teams would have gotten killed it they turned it over 4 times
Michigan fan here as well, Go Blue! But I just want to say that Minnesota doesn't boast a great offense. If anything Minnesota played great defense. The huskers were supposed to be more disciplined on offense with Rhule, and it showed that they are still about as disciplined as a Scott Frost team
Another Michigan fan here as well. I know it's only week 1, but if this is how both Nebraska and Minnesota play, then I'm confident the wolverines will get back to back wins in Lincoln and take home the Little Brown Jug.@@user-pm2gr4qh5n

Great job by the kicker at the end.
This was so incredibly brutal. I was around some of the biggest Husker fans, and they weren’t excited or happy all game, because they kinda knew this would happen, ever since the first quarter
