  • Time for a safe diy bike paint booth. In my previous projects I've been painting my bikes in a temporary plastic shed in my workshop without ventilation, filters or safety. I've pushed my luck enough and I realized that the future of my channel was at stakes. So in this video I build a safe paint booth DIY for bike frames, parts and other medium sized objects.

Great video and good work, thanks for sharing. I thought the clickbait thumbnail was overdone though, you really don’t need that, your videos are informative enough to draw in viewers 👍🏼

I’m sure it’s been asked elsewhere, but I can’t find it. What’s the clamp/stand that you have?

Got mine from the local hardware store, but it’s very similar to this, only mine is a tripod instead of the V-stand. I don’t know what’s best to be honest. When I paint I clamp a wooden rod in to the stand that I hang the frame on.

Great video. I'm on the same idea, but I'm most confused about the choice of fan. Have looked at the same as you and similar, but you really know little about the quality and whether they are really explosion-proof. Have received a quote for German and Swedish fans that comply with EU requirements, Ce-marked etc. but then the price is about 3000 to 5000 Euro! Obviously you trust your choice but how have you thought about it all?

The fan is a big issue and yes they are expensive. Im not completely sure about mine but from what I could see, it looks properly sealed. Now that I have ran it for a few months and done a full bike paint in it, the fan snd ventilation makes a huge difference and I highly doubt that I ever reach the lower explosion limit, it’s all sucked out.
