I fucking love how 90's this band is. They don't even give a shit.
+TMAH for me I hear 1970, 1977, 1984, 2002 (duke spirit -red weather) .
Not grunge they are a British rock band !
+Keith Bate maybe a British band but not a British sound, sound more American than anything
+Jon MacNeil
Eh could not disagree with you more ! this is a great British Rock band and
I hear strong echoes/influences of great British rock/new wave /more recent sounds eg Led Zeppelin , Queen, Penetration, The Duke Spirit (check out the superb Red weather by them and lead singer Leila Moss looks a little bit like Ellie)
The American influence I hear say Belly/ Pixies/ Throwing muses but the band sound British to me .Ellie's voice is distinctively British
+TMAH Very Placebo
+Jon MacNeil no
Her screams are out of this world! I would enjoy a punk/grunge album!!
Her voice wouldn't last long like that though. She was really letting rip with this.
Wow she's fierce! Great band, looking forward to their "hometown" gig at The Forum next March, so glad that I will get to see them before they play huge venues. They've certainly paid their dues, they seem to be permanently on the road. Much love and respect from me guys x
"Contains very strong language." Hell yeah! 🤘🏻
Ellie takes a lot of pleasure in saying FUCKER. good on her
that’s my girl!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Currently the Best British band out there!
Exit Calm until they split we’re by far the most spectacular British guitar band out there
I think you mean the best band out there at the moment!
Royal Blood
You're right but Nothing but Thieves are just as good!
Still true 5 years later!
Ffs this is amazing only just started listening to wolf alice but omg theyre shit hotttttt
I'll have to listen to more of this band, they sound great :)
Great performance . Wolf Alice and Low are my fav two bands/albums of 2015 . Both brilliant on Jools Holland
ps rock and roll lives !
I discovered Low about a month ago they are awesome as are WA
@@briancox9357 Yeah agreed !
Wolf Alice were great at Glastonbury last month on the Pyramid stage (2022)
pixies of this era!! love em
in love with this band \O/ so grunge!
Love this girl and this band! Love the Pixies, too.
She is fantastic
Seen these Newcastle Uni September 2015 -F***kn AWSOME.Need more air-play (radio).
Ellie is currently the best female in rock!
What a tune!!
Best act on Jools Holland last night.
Amazing!!
AMAZING!!!!!
Just a great live set...... just a great band
i love them so much my little darlings.
They...they're awesome
So effing good!!!
Had not heard of this band until this performance, thought this was excellent. In fact thought the majority of the show was really good and I was only watching it because my friend is big PIL fan, who were also excellent.
those "dodgy fucker as well" 's where so deep. I loved it
00:38-1:05 Just amazing!
fing aaz ing!! so good
WOW!
Grunge is not dead!
It is
Connor McCartney the movement is but not the music or the vibes
@@AreMullets4AustraliansOnly names some new bands that sound grunge like then?
@@ConnorMcCartney95 depends how you define grunge - most people call Nirvana grunge but really they were alt rock with some punk sensibilities. They got associated with the grunge label cos they were getting big around the same time as a lot of grunge bands like Alice in Chains and Jane’s Addiction and the grunge “movement”. If you want bands that sound Nirvana-grunge, it’s like every other teenage pub band. If you want actual grunge, a lot of it has evolved with hardcore punk to produce bands like Code Orange and Title Fight, or with post hardcore to make bands like Basement, Soccer Mommy (I think, haven’t actually listened to them), Narrow Head, Skourge (again I think cos have only heard of them in association with these other bands)
@@ericlayton8888 Jane's addiction isn't grunge
I watched this on tv and they also played fluffy and Moaning Lisa smile which for some reason have never been uploaded .. bummer
yes! great show jools ta! i enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!zit
badass
Great Rock'n'Roll :-)
Awesome!
Max love 🤟
this shine
Massive love. Will you be touring Brighton or London, or Nottingham in the near future? xxx
This reminds me of Babes in Toyland, why did I not listen to them sooner?!
Her voice is thunder
this is sooo sick
they're going to be huge!
At first I thought she was going to play "All My Life" by the FF's
Perfect execution though
4 thumbs down ??? Stick to doing ket and dance music lads
ashley lmao so tru
Chloe Price would definitely thrash to this with us.
Nice raw original rock sound
Still so edgey... I feel like I only heard this yesterday... 4 years already... Don't like being old years seem like months!
For the days are long and the years short...
\m/ brutal screams ellie \m/
Kat Bjelland from Babes In Toyland would approve!
No es la misma
Holly cow…
They played just one song in the programme?
Again!
This peformance, back in the day when I used to watch tv was the first time I ever heard anything from Wolf Alice, I instantly loved it and have been into them ever since and it has nothing at all to do with the right nipple thing as never enen noticed til much later on
It's like watching L7 or The Breeders back in the days
agun wiria I thought a touch of mudhoney as well
L7 were so much better, just not at singing.
Lots of Placebo inspiration in this one, but still good
Grunge is more alive thanks to Wolf Alice.
They remind of Elastica
Gerk gerr .. germain
Don't burn them out Evil Touring Manager, something really special at work here. Lose any of these people and the magic will be diminished, the jigsaw will come apart. The EPs are just as amazing as the full length, which I thought was overproduced. Time to hire Steve Albini methinks............
Another knew one discovered by this great band. Everything is different from them . How hot is Ellie??
Ellie's the next Kim Gordon or Courtney Love...maybe just the next Kim
+David Lance Perhaps with a little Brody Dalle mixed in there, too, I reckon! There haven't been many (new) female singers like them in recent years - ones who became as relatively well-known as Courtney Love, Dalle, or even Amy Lee (where did she disappear to??) of Evanescence anyway. Nobody like that since the early 2000s - even Avril Lavigne 'round then wasn't too bad-a-singer (mostly kinda crap songs tho)!
Was strongly reminded of all this after watching the documentary-film, 'The Punk Singer', about Bikini Kill and Le Tigre frontwoman, Kathleen Hanna, the other night. Pretty good film, BTW. Such a shame that Kathleen contracted Lyme's Disease via a tick bite in 2005 (as did Avril Lavigne a bit later on, incidentally), and is increasingly too sick to be able to make and play music anymore. Just very sad. :(
+David Lance deal
David Lance sound more kim deal with the breeders.
Ellie Is ellie she will make her own legacy...
Hole successor?
They are gods
This remind me of Pixies.
+Nick Valensi more like the breeders seeing as frank was a cunt about letting kim sing
they even rhyme "seven" and "heaven" lol
wasn't that just cus Frank wrote most of the songs?
Although the first two bars made me think Foo Fighters 'All My Life' when i first heard it .
does ellie say "dirty fucker" in this? the lyrics are apparently "dodger fucker" even though ive always heard dirty!
probably changes is between the two since they basically mean the same thing in this context, most artists tend to do that occasionally
Her voice reminds me of a huskier Hope Sandoval
Sounds like Nirvana
mmmm Very Placebo This Picture
I love anything that puts Lily Allen in her place.
Throwing Muses, Drop Nineteens, Breeders, Poster Children...
Why did they only get to do 1 song
+Nosaj they did 3
shenmueso did they? I only saw 1 on TV
might have been 2.. well i saw at least 2 on iplayer just now, but i dont think either were this one.. thats why i thought 3.. go check out iplayer.
Aight, cheers!
Very late in the day, but I only just saw this. Chances are you might have seen the Later Live show where all but one of the guests play once. They play more than once on the prerecorded show that goes out later in the week.
They remind me of early Weezer, geeky but cool.
Not big on the lyrics or the vocal style but apart from that I thought it was pretty cool
Oh really? Can you go and be pretentious somewhere else though?
Ellie is Kim Gordon's successor. Change my mind.
N
Are the miming? So many inconsistencies, lack of palm mute in that intro for a start 😬
Shut up about 90s', this is now. Get out of the past.
What a noise!!!!
jesus fuck!!
Muse
This is all for profit I know, I know... But... God damn she is... they are... you know...good.
2300/43 = disregard.
1:05 thank me later ;)
well thank you
Supposedly all women have them, I was under the impression it was just us fellas.
It’s a nipple beneath clothing grow up man
dem nipples tho
+Saniok Zhichkus you're a creep
+Chris Holloway eyes wide
2:05 :-P
Looks nippy
she is the breast
...hmm its a bit cheesy
Any song which repeatedly has 'uh uh ee-ooh' 15 seconds after it starts is not a song.
