I sometimes listen to music... or when I am x stitching I watch my flosstube friends video's or watch the t.v. I don't do audio books I like the feel of a real book in me hands... I have finished one jar, it was a coffee jar.. I have my pearls in it for my material book pages etc... Thank you for sharing your lovely sweety jar project...
Lovely jar. I become totally absorbed by my crafting, as I use it as therapy when I feel low. So no background noise for me. I do craft when I feel happy as well.!
I so love the things that you do and when I craft I either stay in silence, frequencies or learn lesson of life. Thank you for your wonderful inspiration.
I do audio books like you when I create.. its really helped beat back some of my ADD symptoms that can make it hard to get started. Sometimes tv or movies..but it has to be either documentaries that I can just listen to, or things I've seen so many times I don't actually need to watch them. It's just something to keep the left brain busy so the right brain can flow. Plus I really like to learn thing, I also really love books.. but I've become accustomed to "reading" and getting something done at the same time-it makes it harder to sit still to read.
You are so talented! I also listen to audio books when I quilt but while learning this new craft I have to very intently listen to you! Thank you for trying to teach an old gal new things!
Hi Iveta, Another incredible piece! I love that you work from instinct and a love for what you do. I think that’s what makes you’re pieces so beautiful and special. I listen to music when I craft. It helps me to really engage in what I’m doing. Thank you for another wonderful video. Kim
I enjoyed this session, thanks! Answering the question about the background entertainment during crafting. I used to only listen to my library audiobooks (my constant companions) but then I started to mix that with watching series on my laptop. Finally, several months ago, I v’e discovered youtube crafting universe and since then I mostly work on my projects with that. I found it is most enjoyable to craft with a person who is doing project slowly and talks about the process. Quick/music background videos are also good for other times, of course, but for crafting sessions I choose long episodes.
Your video are always so great to watch. Very informative and interesting. You asked what we listen to while crafting. I listen to a lot of radio dramas on RUclips. I do audio books sometimes but love the "who done it" dramas, there are so many good ones on RUclips. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. You are a very talented lady.
Simply lovely, your talent is awesome. I am so glad you changed the floral colors on the lid, the colors seemed too bright for the decopaged art. What I do while creating is listen to classical music which relaxes me so that I can enjoy the process. Thank you so much for sharing your creative talent. I learned so much from your video. 🌹😄
You made a lovely job of that 💖I change my mind also but instead of putting it aside and thinking "fail" I carry on as you do until I think it's at its best. I used to listen to radio but have gone silent for now, when I crochet lace I have something on down stairs, audio books are great, I love Dickens. Thank you so much for all the tips and tricks and your time! Love from me and 😺
Iveta, with your talent, who needs schooling? You have a natural instinct for what works. Follow your spirit!!!! When I do my art outside, I love to just be quiet and still and let the sounds of nature be my only entertainment. It's a time to connect with my inner Self, with oneness. When I work indoors, sometimes I have not sound. I do my art in silence. Sometimes I watch my favorite movies, the ones whose atmosphere I enjoy and in the past couple of days, I have been watching Green Renaissance youtube channel films.
You nailed the colors! I really love this. I have so many jars and you've given me great ideas. If I'm doing something that is repetitive or doesn't require concentration, I may put on music or tv. But if I'm concentrating or planning, I need silence.
TYFS Iveta 🥰! I really appreciate this video! Not only did you share your creative process, you also taught us quite a bit too! I love this jar/canister, it’s absolutely gorgeous 🥰. I laughed at myself because I actually liked all 3 of the lids looks. When you first started painting the leaves and flowers in the muted/aged colors I thought it was perfect, but then you opted to brighten those colors & I thought she’s right again that definitely made it “pop”, then you come back & it’s all gold & everything is unified 🤦🏻♀️ & I thought ah of course, it makes perfect sense. Thank you for showing how you use the molds & explaining exactly what “trade grade pva glue” is (carpenters glue). I’ve purchased some air dry clay & some silicone molds & 🤓 I’m looking forward to trying to line up a border & making that diagonal cut to make it seem like one continuous piece. 🙊 I’m surprised every time I see your glue jar, only because you are such a gifted decoupage artist & there’s nothing on that jar. LOL I read some of the other comments & I agree with another person. I hope that you can show us how you fill in the cracks of the clay after it has dried. When you showed us that you’d already filled them in, I couldn’t even tell where you made the repair lol(which, of course, is the point). Thank you for also answering my question before I could ask it regarding the gold wax, basically it’s a self sealing product. As far as you changing your mind on the lid, only you the creator know & feel when it’s right/done. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being “self-taught”. In my opinion, you could easily teach any “formally taught” art student a few things! I think that if you’re crafting & you have no “feelings” about/for the project, then that craft isn’t for you. Do what you love & love what you do 🤷🏻♀️. I do like to have some sort of background noise going on when I craft. It could be music or a tv program. It’s usually Dateline (true crime) or an old western. I’ll have to give the audio books a try! Please stay safe 😷
I so much appreciate your tutorial style. I learned so much ... and I've watched MANY of this type of video. I'm glad you painted over the lid. It seemed a bit too colorful!
You've truly inspired me on this one! I'd have not thought of using mouldings. Just WOW. If I craft I tend to like the quiet. Off to order mouldings and clay. Your a bad influence lol x
I love to craft and make quilts. I listen to audio books also. It is easy to keep up with the storylines. Love all your videos and crafts. Hope to buy molds soon and try my hand with clay.
I have a whole bunch of jars that were for my daughter's wedding decor....TONS of them. Love this decoupage idea!! I made it to the painting of the molds, and so I wanted to tell you that I usually don't listen to anything when I craft....mostly because I'm not an experienced crafter and it takes all my concentration to not screw stuff up! lol Love your videos, will begin following today!
I love how this jar turned out! Coincidentally, I am in the middle of making glass candle holders for tall pillar candles. So, I was very happy to see how you decoupaged and applied your moulds to the glass! I am at the clean-up the paint off the glass phase now. Have you tried the new Mod Podge Ultra (matt & gloss) for a sealer? It's a spray on fixative, finisher, sealer & glue. That's what I have been using and it works very well as a glue, a finish and a sealer. The matt doesn't mattify the glass too much, but if you want it completely clear, you would have to go in with a cotton swab and clean it up. I enjoy crafting to classical music (and occasionally rock music, like the Rolling Stones who I've followed for about 40 years!), but for the most part, I am a classical music nut and it gives me inspiration when I am crafting. Thanks for all your tips and tricks - they help immensely! ❤️
I Love working with a Light sound of music, not singing or anything. I also like it quiet sometimes as I visualize what I may want to do. your videos are in my head so it won't be hard for me to try and make some art as you do. You are very inspirational !!!! thank you.
I like the lid gold. I am not the multi color kind of person. I like it quiet when I craft. This jar turned out beautiful. I am self taught as well. I don't want to have to think about theory and all the other "rules". I want to enjoy what I am doing, not stress the fun out of it. Tfs. Have a great week .🙂
oh I absolutely Love the Jar. So Elegant and Sweet. you are amazing !! ok I have one candy mold , so this may work as it has little flowers. So need to get the clay and i am Looking forward to a day of play time !! thank you as all way's. Cheers !!! :) :)
Love the jar! When I am crafting I want it quiet ... I craft to be able to zone out everything. I want to focus on nothing but what I am doing so that there is no room for stressful thoughts.
Beautiful jar and you have inspired me. I have a wine bottle that I got for a special birthday with a personalised label so I’m now going to try and do something with it. All I need is your talent😊but I’ll do my best. I listen to music or audios
Thanks Iveta. I have lots of glass jars and you have given me lots of ideas. One thing I would like to see you actually do is fill in the gaps caused by shrinkage of the clay. You always mention it and say to just fill it but would like to actually see it happen :)
This turned out marvellous .. thanks for this too! Been watching your craft videos with great interest& getting so inspired . I too listen to audio books during any craft work and it’s been so relaxing !! Caught up with quite a lot of audio books on audible using credits too but lately lots on RUclips as well . I started out with classics on LibriVox 😍
It looks lovely! If I would have held a jar up with the lid - I would have dropped it 😂. I liked the rope joining tip….thank you. I like to listen to music while working x
I love this jar! It is beautiful. But I have to say I liked it better with the varied colored flowers on the lid. As for what I listen to when crafting- Silence!! Anything else is a distraction.TYFS...
I would love to know where you got the vintage teal and rose flower arrangements? I’ve looked for days for something similar. I love your arrangements. I so enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing
The jar turned out beautifully. I guess it depends on the mood, sometimes I play music, or watch a diy show, but I have to say I do like it quite and I get to really get inspired, but I have to stop myself sometimes because I get where I want to keep adding on more to a project and then I go back and forth....lol
I am learning watching your videos. The design you make in between labels I can't seem to do because of my arthritis. I can't keep the flow consistent. Any suggestions of something else I could do?
Hello....I'm also in the fb group....and I've got a question....I'm asking you because you seem the most knowledgeable. I'm making a storage box for my husband, with Game of thrones as the theme....I'm using playing cards to mode podge.....but they don't want to stick. I figured it's the wax on them. Do you have any suggestions?
I would love to buy this piece!!! Do you ever sell your crafts!!! Girl you are absolutely a genius, I love your style, and plz plz, let me know if you sell cuz I will buy it all!!! Thank you 😊
Just love it, it's so different... I cant get my clay out of the molds... it keeps breaking. Dont know what I'm doing wrong .. any suggestion please.....
I will add a bit of corn starch to the mould before putting the clay in (shake out any excess) - that helps a lot to release the clay from the mould. Good luck and happy crafting!
It could be the clay itself? What kind of clay are you using? And yes, like Gina suggested, cornstarch or baby powder is a good way to make it less sticky. Also I heard someone talk about cooking oil, that might be something to try ☺️
I tend to craft in silence, but one of my dogs always lays in my craft room with me so I'm always chatting to her lol, and I will admit I talk to myself too out loud 😂😂😂😂
I listen to podcast whilst crafting, Crime Junkie, super addictive 😊 love your work
I usually just listen to you or other crafters to get beautiful ideas. Thank you so much

I love to listen to music. That is my go to all the time.
Lovely jar. I become totally absorbed by my crafting, as I use it as therapy when I feel low. So no background noise for me. I do craft when I feel happy as well.!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
I love listening to classical or calming music 🎶
I wouldn't change a thing....its beautiful!
Hi Iveta. Once again your Talent Amazes me 😮
❤️❤️IT Brilliant work As always!👍

music is what i listen to when crafting
I'm glad you repainted the lid. I thought it looked gaudy. It's perfect now!
That glass jar came out terrific. When I craft I like things quiet most of the time. If not I'll put my music on. Have a wonderful day.
Absolutely Gorgeous! Thank you for the wonderful class today and the information alongside the encouragement!! Have a Beautiful Blessed Evening!!
You are so talented! I also listen to audio books when I quilt but while learning this new craft I have to very intently listen to you! Thank you for trying to teach an old gal new things!

I like to listen to documentaries on RUclips or I listen to music. New subscriber here from Sweden
Stunning!♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful jar!!
Amazing 👌
I would like to have a calm atmosphere when I do crafting as I will be thinking about the work
Just me and my craft, I tune everything else out!
It’s gorgeous. I have a glass jar in my kitchen. I want to do this too. Thank you.
I loved! Beautiful. 🥰
Very nice! And I usually change at least one thing after I start a project. I like to listen to Celtic music while I’m creating. It’s relaxing.
I like to listen to the radio.
And I loved the jar with the coloured flowers!
I enjoyed this session, thanks! Answering the question about the background entertainment during crafting. Beautiful job, but the flowers looked fantastic!
Que preciosidad de trabajo ✨Gracias ✨👋

Очень красиво!🌷👍
Lovely as usual! I listen to new age/spa music. Sometimes Native American flute also.
Super kreativ 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍Erika Slovakia
Muito bonito!👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love this jar! It is beautiful. But I have to say I liked it better with the varied colored flowers on the lid. As for what I listen to when crafting- Silence!! Anything else is a distraction.TYFS...
How I create depends on my mood. If on edge then in silence, excited gets music and so on. Great question
Great stuff. Could you suggest any ideas of doing decoupage on glass without initially painting the glass first.
Lindíssimo
I would love to know where you got the vintage teal and rose flower arrangements? I’ve looked for days for something similar. I love your arrangements. I so enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing

Hi, love your talent! I listen to the TV while working in my art room. I can't stand complete silence. Drives me crazy...
Loved the jar tea bag please
No noise for me while crafting 💕
Love this project. I usually have some music on when I'm creating.
I listen to music when I craft and I tune everything else out.
I am learning watching your videos. The design you make in between labels I can't seem to do because of my arthritis. I can't keep the flow consistent. Any suggestions of something else I could do?
I listen to music. Classical when I am calculating and a variety when I actually work.
I use cooking oil. It's the best. I put it on a sponge and then dab the mould.
Reminds me on my granbmothers “treasures”.
Lovely! Stunning! I just wish the video was closer up and more clearly.
which brand are the molds you use
Thank you 😊
Yes I watch television .

Thanks for the advice ... I use Das ... well I try to use it 😜😜😜
I take a brush, moisten it with vegetable oil, wipe the excess oil on a napkin and smear the mold with a very thin layer.
I listen to 90’s music
I tend to craft in silence, but one of my dogs always lays in my craft room with me so I'm always chatting to her lol, and I will admit I talk to myself too out loud 😂😂😂😂
