Hey I was wondering how do you change your believes when you’re dealing with existential ocd ? So my biggest fear is that I’m imagining everything around me so I’m wondering how I can change these believes ? Because not being in reality is the scariest thing for me… thank you !! Great video by the way

Hi there, so.I watched your videos on ROCD and im very thankfull to see that other people experienced the same thing, so thanks a lot for the wonderfull work.
Just in one video you mentioned that you firstly were obsessed about if your partner is cheating on you or if they dont like you, but that it changed on, am I in the right relationship, do I love my partner, and I feel Im having the same change now. So first I was terrified what if she leaves or cheats on me to now maybe I am going to cheat or having hook ups rather then a serious reltionship feels better because there is not the comittment. On the other hand I love my partner and I like staying with her. So internely it is terring me apart, did you habe any tips on what helped you?

Hey Paul - You will need to address those beliefs as well. Even if the fear switches those beliefs will need to be addressed

How do you start changing the beliefs? I keep telling myself “it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if I don’t get any sleep” but I still don’t believe it at the end of the day.
I also get moments when I feel like I’m starting to turn the page on recovery and I’m right back where I used to be.. just can’t seem to recover

some people can recover on their own, but others having a coach (the right one) is key. You likely have a hard time disbelieving your thoughts

it takes time, practice and persistence. you cant force acceptance.

is recovery possible with only ERP and CBT/acceptance and not relying on medication? My personal experience with SSRI Sertraline was utterly horrible and I dont want to be on meds forever.
