  • 4K Timelapse and video footage of a short 4 Day trip in Kootenay, Banff and Jasper National Parks (Robson Prov. Park included). From the Columbia Icefields, Wilcox Pass, Dolomite Pass, Maligne Lake and Robson we were blown away and can't wait to backpack these amazing mountains. We saw 16 black bears, 1 moose, lots of elk and bighorn sheep.

      Aaron, you have inspired me! Although I'm 58 soon I will soon be booking a trip with North Cascades Mountain Guides for a trip next spring/summer in your neck of the woods!! Very Pumped

    Many times, this one in particular, the best thing humans can do is be silent. You certainly picked the right time for that!!!! You and A A RON are killin' it. I'm from PA and have been to Alberta hunting and BC fishing but have never gotten to this area. But that will change soon. No more beautiful place in North America!!

    Great job.....one awesome shot after another. Of all of them, the view at the 6:12 mark has to be my favorite. It probably says something about my personality or something...

    I have backpacked in Yoho, Banff, and Mt Assiniboine Provincial Parks, but not since 2010. The Ramparts in Jasper is on my bucket list for next year, as well as doing part or all of the Rockwall in Kootenay once again. Fall season is epic in all areas that have larch.
    16 Black bears is just crazy. Sounds like you went to a city dump😁

      There was one bad weather year for berries and hundreds of black bears were shot in British Columbia, one in our campground on Kokanee Creek. My daughter was so excited and then heard the shot. Grizzlies took what was there for food forcing black bears to go after food amongst humans. There is no snow up there compared to what I am used to seeing, and all those fires in Alberta. I have seen a fair share of grizzlies and black bears were very rare.

    what bird do we hear at the beginning?

    • @NorthwestWanderer
      @NorthwestWanderer  Год назад

      the two birds are a Hermit Thrush and a Varied Thrush. Hear them a lot in late may and June in the mountains of the western Rockies and Cascades.
