- Our trip to the Canadian Rockies during mid-October 2022. We visited Banff, Jasper and Yoho National Parks. Plenty of wildlife and breathtaking sceneries including glaciers, turquoise lakes and the colours of autumn in the trees. 🧡 We hope you like it as much as we enjoyed our trip!

Beautiful video. We visited Banff & Jasper in 1999 and saw a good many of the places you showed. There was a big snow the day before we arrived. The mountains were stunning covered with the snow. Such a huge difference in Athabasca Glacier since 1999.
Thia place is just pure magic everywhere we went.
We were so impressed that we are already looking for another visit

That was a lovely video!!! I know there is the expensive train rides, but your personal trek looks every bit as fabulous. Where did you start your journey and end your journey? Were the hikes strenuous? Thanks for sharing! I love it!!!
We started and finish in Calgary, spend few days in Banff-Lake Louise and a couple of days in Jasper area. The worst hike for me was going up the Big Beehive (maybe because I´m not in the best shape), but the view was completely worth it!!

Yoho is not nearly as big as Banff or Jasper, but it is spectacular. You can see most of the best places in it other than Lake O'Hara (which requires winning an online lottery for access) in 3 days or so.

The weather was great this year until the 23rd October that it started snowing, just when we were leaving the country! But the locals were saying that this is quite uncommon and normally they get snow earlier in October. I guess we had the last decent week of the ´summer´ season.
You could get anything in the Canadian Rockies in October. I was there in September, 2019 camping and left a few days early because a snow storm was coming that dumped about 2 feet of snow in the last 2 or 3 days of the month. I went from there to Yellowstone and Grand Teton where low temperatures were in the single digits (Fahrenheit) for most of the first 2 weeks of October with multiple snows.

Our trip was 9-10 days in total. We stayed a few days in Banff, 2 days in Jasper and last night in Canmore, just before heading back to the airport in Calgary. Plenty of time to visit all these beautiful places!
I'm going to travel in October. Is there a lot of parking or still difficult to find a place to park? I hope not too bad to find the parking in October 😀

What month did you travel, we are planning to go in September
It was mid October and we had the best weather, over 15°C everyday, until the last day that started snowing. But the locals were saying that it was very rare to have that weather in October. September will be definetly a good choice.
how did you get to morraine lake? I heard they close by October 9 thanksgiving? at least the morraine lake drive is closed. Pls lmk!!
We rented e-bikes in Banff, drove to the start of the road closure, left the car there on tbe side of the road and then did the 16km cycling to the lake! Amazing experience and very popular option there were sooo many people on bikes or even walking.
How did you get to Yoho? The road was closed when I was just there.
The Yoho valley road was already closed for the season when we went there, but the other areas where still accesible. This was mid October, not sure how it was after that.
What is the name of the lake shown in 13:10 , also is it car accessible do you have to hike alot alot?
It is Peyto Lake, is accesible by car, only a short 5-10 minutes walk to the viewpoint.
