  • First record with the N75-3 2.5 mil stylus despite having 3 in the name. Definitely less surface noise than compared to other records like the Tchaikovsky Piano concerto which didn’t drown out the surface noise with 3.0 mil stylus. So I can say it works, though in quiet spots there is a soft surface noise though probably not very annoying to most.
Very good news! I’m getting a lot of 20 flexi Filmophone records by next Monday so this will stylus will come in handy, I’m quite excited as these are at least uncommon (especially in this amount) and very reasonably priced.

I don’t have a site yet though if you’re in Florida (I don’t have time to meet up with people in the Northwestern near Pensacola) and have 78 rpm records to get rid of or a collection why not contact me through email at anytime to get a guaranteed sale, happy customer, and to be featured on this channel. Also my number is 954 504 2720 and only to be after 4:00 (realistically after 5:00 as I’m quite busy) on weekdays and anytime on weekends. We’ll discuss details privately though general rates would be:
    $10 = 100
    $35 = 200
    $60 = 300
    $80 = 400
    $110 = 500
    $130 = 600
    $150 = 700
    $180 = 800
    $200 = 900
    $250 = 1000
78s are typically not worth much at all and are not something that should be seen as a money making opportunity, just an opportunity for free space.
Rates for smaller lots (300 and under) can be adjusted if you have records of interest and rarity though.
I won’t buy less than 100 records unless it has good stuff in it (it’s not worth having to drive hours for that). Less than 100 records shouldn’t take up much space either.
I’ll be taking anything though so if you have a large amount I’ll happily take it when scheduled.
I’ll also be selling off records in the future that I don’t want so if you’re in Florida and want to start, I’ll be more than happy to give people an opportunity I never got :).

Shame they didn't have playback equipment as good as yours in the '40s. Because that is a great sounding record, all considered. I'll have to browse through the rest of your videos now.

Thanks! For playback I have a fairly “entry level” and basic setup for playing, though audio editing software does the magic of removing surface noise through different ways. I have 3 gramophones (2 work) and I would say they sound different rather than worse or better. The modern systems pick up more so the surface noise and clicks are much more audible, though upgrading my system through decent amplifiers and speakers would increase the sound and probably make me notice the surface noise less.
