Surprising that this airline is so little known in its own city. Much better than struggling through two airports.
The price is not affordable to most people is why. Round trip is about $1000-$1200.
@@willdogsdroid I was just going to say the same thing. A friend of mine priced a ow from Boston-NYC and it was almost $700. No thanks, I'll fly the major airlines or take Amtrak.
Well, it is a big city. And I think their biggest competition for flights to Boston is Acela.
Indeed expensive but the convenience is unparalleled. Just from observation, the friendliness and hospitality of everyone associated with Tailwind from the concierge, pilots, dinghy, etc were what stood out to me more than anything. They didnt treat you like a caged animal and seemed genuine about their enthusiasm for their service as well as importance placed on you receiving a satisfactory experience. You tend to get this from smaller mom/pop type businesses that cannot compete on price and instead focus on service and efficiency.
Convenience is super in good weather. I wonder how convenient in the rain, or snow(probably much less expensive out of season.
To me, you're one of the many Aviation RUclipsrs that can make little-known airlines and carriers more attractive to watch on RUclips!
I am also trying in my videos to do so, cause it is interesting
For business men who work in downtown NYC - this has to be a great way to fly up to boston, for day meetigs - you save a few hours of travel time to/from La Guardia/JFK to Logan and back, not to mention the hassle factor. They can charge big bucks because the big companies and the one percenter who live the cape, can afford it.
Tailwind also saves a significant amount of time for those going to Provincetown. From NYC to Provincetown is a five hour drive off-peak checking Google Maps (and probably between six and eight hours on peak weekends)
Noel paying for all his flights is why he the best flight vlogger
You can tell how much Noel loved this one -- he didn't stop smiling at all the whole vid! This was one of my favorite Noel vids .. and he flew right over me in New Haven !
Thanks for watching!
This is incredible. I hope to see more uploads like this. By far the best Noel. I'd definitely pay the extra to fly from city to city.
Thanks a ton!
They seem a great little airline. What i noticed was that the service was very friendly and genuine. Rear in big cities. I love your videos when you show, not just the airline but the people you react with. When possible, would be great to see more of this. I especially loved your flights on REX airlines in Australia. I know your a travel vlogger (which is great) but i love seeing you chat with staff and ground crew. They are the backbone of any airline. Would love to see more of their personalities and stories. Keep up the great work!!!!
I mean when your flights are for the rich and famous crowd the service is obviously going to reflect that 😂
Ok did some make the aviation gods happy multiple Noel Phillips video uploads in such a short time span I love it!!!! Thank you Noel love the content you produce!
My pleasure!
Flying like this around the Great Lakes would be an absolute dream vacation for me.
A New Yorker like me is always surprised to learn things about his city that he didn’t know. This was great! Thanks for a wonderful trip and great information.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lord Noel 😂
wassup Josh
Yeah he did.that Scottish Lord thing. Lol
Kick him in the nuts next time you see him.
Wann gibt‘s den Lord Josh?
Lord Noel sponsored by caffeine indeed
Seeing Noel with a smile from ear-to-ear after the takeoff from New York was funny. He's like a giddy kid who just got his favourite toy for his birthday!
I love how Noel Phillips is always looking for and trying the weird or unusual or different in the world of aviation.
Thank you!
Great flight, friendly people and then a boat ride right after arrival.
What a unique travel experience this was.
Great video as always and keep it up.
Thanks a lot!
Tailwind looks great! What a great idea -- to reduce travel time so significantly -- and what a great experience. Congrats to the people behind that operation, and thank you for telling us about it, Noel.
That was so cool, Noel. Some of my most memorable flights have been on light aricraft. It gives you a completely different perspective. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool thank you for showing us .
Nice trip! Can't wait for the next vid.
yay!
I love how enthusiastic you are. You genuinely love what you're doing. Another great video Noel
I appreciate that!
Yes I would pay extra for that quick flight. God Bless you Noel.
That was SO COOL! Beginning to end, that was AMAZING! And the views out the windows. Everything about that trip was worth every dime and the major added bonus was how friendly and personal the staff were. I am soon to be wheelchair bound so unable to fly on such a plane but just being able to watch on your video was incredible.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What an awesome trip! It looked a little bumpy during the flight, but what an adventure. When I lived in The Woodlands, my late husband was able to fly in the company jet to many places & he always told me how awesome it was to sit up front & watch the landing & take-off! I wish Tailwind much success as it would be great to fly out of downtown NY city & in a seaplane!!!
Thanks Noel, I'm already planning our next holiday around this flight!
Fantastic video Noel! Really enjoyed it.
Thank you!
Such friendly young staff at airport and with the boat. Sure as eggs though I'd end up in the water just trying to get into the plane. Marvellous views.
He's here look & he's done it again! I wasn't an aviation geek until these videos.
I'm definitely going to be paying attention to the plane I'll be travelling on during my next holiday.
Loved this, and shall try it one of the good days.
Fabulous Noel and one of my favourites of all that you have done. What an experience
Glad you enjoyed it.
Loved this , looked an amazing experience
It was!

I'm so happy you and your family make America your home!! Wonderful video!!! It warms my heart when fans notice Noel..
Noel there is no doubt that you absolutely enjoyed that plane ride! Your face said it all! I would pay extra for this flight for sure! Thank you for all the extra videos this week and look forward to your next one!
Thanks so much!
Two videos in one day? Heck ya, Noel!
The prettiest approach in the world is the harbor approach in Portland, ME. Highly, highly recommend!
It looks like Maine is supposed to if you've never been before and only heard stories. Straight out of a Stephen King novel!
@@xmtryanx Stephen King grew up in my home town of Durham. Went to my school. Small world
@@BB-re6nz He also grew up in my home town of Green Bay, Wisconsin!!! He got around :p
Awesome video! I live about 30 minutes outside of Logan and right on a departure path to the south west, so I get to see these little guys almost daily when the weather is nice, it always makes my day and I can usually hear them coming from pretty far away. I just wish the tickets weren't so insanely expensive, even though I know they are catering to a niche market.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Video, such a gem to find this little and wonderful airline that made the trip so much more than a regular journey
Noel what a flight definitely the way to go ! I flew from BOS to LGA on a USair B727 many years ago . How times have changed. The Tailwind C208 certainly look’s like fun too . 😀
...and quite expensive too for such a short flight.
keep it up noel! what a super video!!
Thanks!!
Wow. Just wow. This is my new favourite Noel Philips video!
The pure joy on his face for most of the time, grinning from ear to ear. Fantastic.
Mega friendly staff from start to finish, everybody being super helpful.
And then the pick up on a boat from a little platform in the harbour. Epic.
Love your content anyway mate, but this just takes the cake.
Safe travels!
Every bit of that trip was worth the higher ticket price. A true adventure!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a brilliant flight that would be. Did miss the loo review though 😀😀😀😀
@@annettewalter2273 (a) does it even have one? (b) what happens when the sea/river/harbour is rough? (c) would be really useful if it flew to the main airports, like the helicopter used to
How fun was that?! Terrific video Noel, thanks!
Thanks for this vlog. Wow. Happy Holidays! Ciao.
Same to you!
As you rightly said, it's a no-brainer, the convenience this service offers within such a short time is in my opinion good value for money and the sights are beyond words.
Such a cool flight and experience! Keep it up Noel. 👌🏼
Thanks! Will do!
Great video as always Noel. Thank you 👍
Thanks for watching!
Super awesome! Once upon a time Pan Am had a commuter helicopter service from their HQ in Manhattan out to JFK.
So so cool. Really felt your excitement in this video. Fantastic!
Thanks so much!!

Absolutely spectacular. Thank You for sharing those great moments.. Made my day!
My pleasure!
Thanks Noel for that great video. I live 5 min away from their landing site and I have seen their planes touchdown and take-off all the time, now I finally know how the flight would be. It's on my bucket list.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Great job Noel , thank you!
Glad you liked it!
What a fun, old-timey experience!!! For a little over $300, that's a WONDERFUL price from downtown NYC to downtown Boston in an hour!!!! You just gave them priceless advertising!
That looks like an amazing flight. I have flown on a seaplane a couple of times but that take-off over Manhattan is fantastic.
We are so lucky this week! Multiple uploads from Lord Noel, thanks very much
Enjoy!
I haven’t seen you this excited for/on a flight before! Loved it!

The commercial with you and Rach leaves me in stitches every time. Rach is really funny

Thanks Noel. That was a treat!
My pleasure!
Cool to see you in my hometown of Boston! Hope you had a good time:)
That was awesome! Expensive? Yeah ok, but no fuss, no large crowds and those views all the way. Fantastic experience.
I can tell how much you love aviation by your facial expression. I felt the same way when I took my first lesson in 1992.
Nice work amazing flight
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for sharing your experience.
My pleasure!
Sooo cool! I have never flown on a Seaplane...so jelly!
Great vlog as always! Time is money. Some of us have nothing but time, other do not. Keep up the good work! Be safe!
Thanks!
Excellent episode !
Thanks for watching!
Great views!
Wow! That's really cool, Noel..I hadn't heard of them.
Nice adventure and coverage. For me personally, City-center to city-center travel is best by train.
Now that was fun flying. It shows the joy of it.
You're so giddy you made me smile!
Well, Wowzer! What fun!
And now it's time for the Noel Philips loo review *opens door*
Yeah, I was waiting for it too!😂

You should put that on a loop !!!
Great video 😀 Thanks for making this one !!!
I think its your Best Flight to date, its on my bucket list.
What a great experience!!!
For crying out loud Noel, this is amazing :D Provincetown, MA. is amazing, loads to do in the summer and very crowded, but out of season, it's a great place to unwind and relax for a couple nights stay. Highly recommend.
Great video thanks Noel
My pleasure!
That looks like a fantastic flight Noel. I hope I can do it one day too. Keep up the great vlogs and very interesting travel. All the best from Oz

This is definitely one for the bucket list.
Far more interesting than a regular airline. Thanks for sharing. Nice people, too. Yes, I would be willing to pay extra for the connivence of this flight.
Thanks for watching!
So cool, Noel! We live near Boston and have family in NYC and had no idea. We are always looking for an easier way to get to and from! Glad you enjoyed the flight.
My pleasure!
Look up “pure joy” and you just get a picture of Noel’s face in the middle of this flight. Thanks for taking us along!
Glad you enjoyed it.
