Cliff was an absolute epic player. He will always be missed, but beyond his ability playing, his song writing and how he helped shape Metallica early on are just beyond words.
R.I.P. Cliff Burton. This was the year before he was killed. Awesome bass player. Great choice of a great song 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻😘 Lars Ulrick (drummer) and James Hetfield (singer/guitarist) formed Metalica back in 1981 Iron Maiden do a lot of historical songs as well.
I miss THIS metallica!!! Don't get me wrong they're still an amazing band but their sound has changed. I miss the dark and dirty sound as you describe it. RIP cliff burton.
Yeah after Cliff Burton died they were never the same as cool as and Justice For All was they were at the very peak with Kill Em All Ride the Lighting and Master of Puppets I imagine how awesome it would have been if Dave Mustane never got kicked out it was for the best though because we got Megadeath another phenomenal band
I live stuff like this. So Lee hadn't heard of Clif R.I.P., n Cliff comes out n kicks him right in the fooking teeth.Lee this is a classic can't believe you didn't know it. Lee, Steve Vai just discovered this amazing 10 yr old guitarist named, Ellen. YOU GOTTA CHECK OUT HER BASS COVER OF THIS SONG.
Cliff use both Rickenbacher & a mod. Aria 2 which had a 6string pick up at the bridge He also used lighter gage strings Along with a mossy boogey, substain & wah wah petals Only bass player that comes close is Frank Bello of Anthrax
@@rosareis8191 Also Kirk and Rob have been doing what they call Doodles in the middle of their concerts were the two would do covers of songs that you would not expect Metallica to do like Purple Rain...
Sorry all, but I just have to. If you want to hear an.... eh... interesting version of this, then check this out: ruclips.net/video/bd_oz_eKEu8/видео.html 🤣🤣🤣 It's Emppu, Tuomas and Jukka from Nightwish with switched instruments, Heikki Kovalainen (F1 driver) and Toni Wirtanen (singer of a Finnish band Apulanta) jamming with each other. I wouldn't say the video nor the music is high quality, but it's funny. 😅
I've seen Metallica 5 times. The thing about James that has always pissed me off is that he will stand at the front of the stage and spit on the crowd. I have always thought that that was so disrespectful to the people who made them what they are. JS.
cliff Burton was so amazing he often was the led playing bass he was better than a lot of lead guitarist in my opinion greatest bass player in metal possible of all time

He wasn’t killed, he died in an accident.

People are killed in car accidents every day.
Metallica...the greatest metal band to ever exist!
We will always miss Cliff. Taken away from life and music way too soon.
RIP Cliff Burton...what a loss.❤ Nothjng can come close to Metallica! Yeahhhhh!!
Not just his Ability to play Bass but his presence demanded respect
My fave song from them.
I do love the bells in the beginning on the studio version, but nothing beats the Live version here.
This reaction is awesome. 😂
The Metallica boys have come here.....to KICK! YOUR! ASSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
Cliff Burton was a musical genius, unfortunately taken from us Metallica fans too soon
R.I.P Cliff... The stars have been headbanging since 1986 🤘
Anyone else see James flip off the person that threw a beer bottle past him?
A True Rock God
I'm like u pal I swear every time I hear metallica there on another planet legends
Clifford Lee Burton, a king amongst men

Lars is the Drummer, James is the Singer and Cliff is the Dude on Bass. He's a Goner...
I've always thought... If metallica hadn't made the tour in 1986, cliff burton would still be alive, but we're ready to question that
Cliff Burton a giant among babes, on the bass.

You witnessed God Fingers when Metallica were at their young peak!
Hi Lee. The Bee Gees have a song with the same title, I thought they covered it 😀😀. Good of Metallica. Thanks
i love that bee gees song lol!! but funny you thought that metallica would cover it 😂
Well Ozzy Osbourne did cover "Stayin Alive" so anything is possible I guess...
@@MaddogJones Oh really? I will look for it now
@@rosareis8191 yes, he collaborated with Dweezle Zappa in the mid 90's.

Then Jason had to follow Cliff, Robert had to follow Jason...
I sure as Hell wouldn't have
wanted to.
Metallica.. Moscow!! Harvester of sorrow
yes, Lars maybe the heart of Metallica, but Cliff Burton was the soul. When he died, the soul of Metallica went along with him.

too bad Lars on the drums has no ryhthm lol
Oooooo you're fishing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He had good Rythem in the 80s. He lost it about 94.
One of the best metal drummer of all time
Late reply, but even in the 80s he sometimes played way too fast, and his drumfills on this particular video are not very pleasant to the ears imo.
JAMES HETFIELD
Lars is the drummer
Thanks mate 😁👌
