Thanks for sharing your tips.. I was stumped on how to install the 2 screws that go into the tank until I saw your video.. Much appreciated.

Thanks for making the video. After seeing what you did with removing the side panel, I put painter's tape on the tank to avoid scratches. Removing the 4 mm hex bolt is key to removing the side panel.

That's one thing I like about the seating position on scooters. You don't feel like your nuts are getting crushed. 😊

I saw you removed a panel from behind the tank. Is this a part that goes in when you choose the lower seat setting to close the gap between the seat and the tank? I have a 2020 GT 900. If not, is there such a part?

You’re correct, when you choose the lower seat position you need put in the rubbery part that comes with the bike in order to hide the gap. It seems like a whole needless complicated affair, but I guess this was the cheapest way to do things!

Did this to my 2022 last year. I found it to be more comfortable on the high setting. Seat is almost level, but still not very comfortable. :Looking at other options...

Great stuff, thanks for posting, now only if someone can get a single TFT mod lol. Cheers from Ontario Canada.

Just out of curiosity, did you try attaching the 2 rubber bushings that are located under the front seat to the front seat itself? The are 2 rubber bushings attach to to the 2 holes in front of the seat. Those bushing are in the compartment under the seat.

If you’re talking about the 4 rubber bushings that go underneath the front seat, they are all attached (they were all attached when I bought the bike).

I bought a Tracer 9 GT earlier this week. I am looking forward to enjoying the motorbike. I would like to be able to get in touch so I can bounce questions off of you. How is the best way for us to communicate? I do youtube and a little facebook but otherwise I don't do much social media. Also, what is the best website for the Tracer 900/9 community? thanks, tom

Thank you so much for this video, I just did this process on my 2022 and watched your video the whole way through as I did it! I'm not going to pull my components apart at the moment since I just got everything together but I'm thinking that it might be possible to cover up that gap by applying the weather stripping to the plastic component rather than the tank?

I do think that you can play around with the weatherstripping, just buy enough so that you can rip it off and start over if you don’t like the end result!

The riding position on all the 9 touring models has been its Achilles heel. Basically, they are no good for touring... too cramped and feet too far back.
