I am an American Country musician of Scots Irish ancestry and I think you are just over the top good,I enjoyed every song you did,I'm not sure if that was a hurdy gurdy you were playing, but it was the best, thank you so much!
The connections are strong between the two cultures. The second song here about a horse race is surely a forefather of Bill Monroe's bluegrass number Molly and Tenbrooks. I see it like a river - the beautiful babbling brook eventually becomes a broad river on the other side of the Atlantic passing first the miles then the years.
I was telling Pam FitzGerald recently about wasted nights at The Embankment before emigrating in 1972. Pam is one of the main organisers of The Harwich International Shanty Festival. She had never heard of Sweeney’s Men - something I shall rectify after Christmas. We now both belong to Dovercourt Ukulele Club as I try out an early Christmas present. My latest song - No Union Blues - is now in demand by fellow Uke players. I just wrote it to help me practise the new yoke.
Is Andy Irvine not one of the very finest singers and musicians of all times, Well I think he is and I am a man who loved/loves Thin Lizzy, Phil Lynott, Rory Gallagher Van that man & his cousin Jim Morrison and the Doors, including my Celtic cousin John Forgery & CCR, Mink DeVille, Bob Dylan, and many others, All my friends and most of my enemies tell me that I have excellent taste of the most brilliant music and it is for this reason I say again that Andy Irvine not one of the very finest singers and musicians of all times

The lady tapping her hand at 24:00 is on another rhythmic level.
:D
Crosses over every 17 beats. Not everyone can do it!

What a trio of wonderful accomplished musicians......👏🏻👏🏻 Andy is a great singer, but so is Paul Brady......🤔
21.12..."we drank money free"........not like Andy to get his words mixed up.
Ditto Kristian S's comment below. The link doesn't; at least here in the U.S. Can anyone help out, since I'd love to purchase the DVD.
