- It's been a while since I did any long flying in the PMDG 747 for P3D v4 and I had a British Airways one that was stuck at Phoenix on projectFLY so I decided to bring it back to Heathrow (EGLL).
This part 1 of 2, in this video we depart from Phoenix (KPHX) as BAW38P with some really nice scenery by Flightbeam and Orbx - as usual AI traffic provides us with a decent level of spice.

A trick: you can watch series at flixzone. Been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.

I miss the BA 74 coming in the 78 is cool but it’s just not the same I’d a lot of times stand right next to the gate and just watch it come in so cool being that close to such a beast

The FCOM by itself does not state that PACS must be turned off for takeoff over 300 tonnes. The only time I thought a PACS off takeoff is warranted is when the runway length is insufficient otherwise and/or the initial climb gradient required for a SID cannot be satisfied, because of weather and weight. But some google search reveals that BA routinely does PACS off takeoff for these takeoff weights. Learned something new.

Awesome vid matt really enjoy it! If you want a better AI traffic thing I suggest SPAI. It’s really good about departing and landing on the right runways and they don’t pull out in front of you. But you do you it’s just an idea🙂 glad to see you back!

An interesting flight you can do is LHR-BNA on a BA 787. Btw loved the vid this is one of my favorite 747 routes

If u would use simbrief u could download a PMDG.rte file put it in the FLIGHTPLAN folder in the PMDG folders and enter the name into company route. Its as simple as that.
he uses pfpx, which also has an export function

Most of the time they land on 26 and take of from 25R due to traffic patterns at the airport. This also allows more time for the safety video.
As of today, this route is being replaced by a 787

I had the same problem with no taxi lights, you have have to use the third fmc and go through the options and then check it for taxi light

I genuinely just noticed. You have Chaseplane assuming that you use the middle mouse button to pan the camera around. How do you turn on/off all the landing lights at once then?
