YAY 747!!! I remember requesting this plane like a year ago or so, so so happy to see it!! When it comes out, please do a flight with the 787!
happy to watch your video back matt ;)
Great vid Matt keep the good vibe going
Awesome Video Matt. Keep Up The Great Work. Hope Your Doing Well.
Im so happy that these full flights are back! Great video Matt! btw KLM 747s have the seperate standby flight instruments not ISFD
This level of detail is great for true flight simmers😊 Thanks 👏
Oh my god oh my god oh my god finally... I've been waiting for a 747 video for ages :D
Matt Davies Thank you so much for the vid :D
"Welcome back to Amsterdam!" This is why I love your videos.
Tough School Day --> Matt's Video --> *Ughhhh* :) Keep up the great work Mate ;)
Sweet another video, Keep up the good work
Matt is the best FSX youtuber!
Absolutely fantastic takeoff 😂😀
Pure talent👌
Awesome video Matt, i live in Bermuda, and was hoping it'll be mentioned in this video haha!
Very nice it's like a tutorial I'm a very big fan of these videos and a full flight from LHR-SFO with the 777 would be great. 👌🏻 Keep going Matt👌🏻👍
Great video mate keep it up
'And there we are back on the ground, welcome to Amsterdam'. That really made me lol. Happened to me out of LHR the other week.
Hi Matt thank you for putting another full video up. You could make a combi profile in PFPX by in the aircraft editor setting the pax to 268 and max cargo to 36287.4 kgs (combi takes 40 tonnes of cargo)
Hyd Aux 1 is just a backup, you only need to set 4 to Aux on startup and 1-3 to off.
And you always forget to enter the set mach speed for oceanic crossings!
BEST RUclipsR: MATT DAVIES! YOU HAVE EARNED MY SUB DUDE :D
I just like watching matt looking at the Ultimate traffic planes and spotting.
Hi There Matt. Great Video's!! Keep it up. Love the EHAM airport and PMDG aircraft. The pitch thing you noticed the fokker doing at 32:17 might be a NADP2 departure. For noise abatement departing aircraft will not climb out with a continuous climbrate, but will reduce climbrate and clean up and accellerate the aircraft first before resuming climb out. This procedure is very common at EHAM airport. This means the aircraft, after reaching 1500ft, wil stay lower to the ground relative to NADP1 or older procedures for a short while, reducing the "sound footprint" ( imagine sound being projected to the ground in a cone like shape ) Lower flight means a smaller cone. Also because the aircraft accelerates sooner, the "event" of the aircraft passing will be shorter. Thus again, reducing noise. As soon as the configuration is cleaned up and the aircraft is accellerated it will resume climb. Since Fokkers don't need a lot of flaps for takeoff the NADP2 "dip" isn't as pronounced as it is with for instance a 744 departing with flaps 20. I don't know if you are familiar with NADP2 procedures. But look it up. It might explain the climbrates as seen in the video.

Nice Video man, Keep it up! :)
You should fly this more often! great video!
Hi Matt, the gorlo3v and 1z. The 1z is for early departures, because people are complaining about the noise so in the morning they use the 1z and in the afternoon you use the 3v. BTW nice vid ;)
Lovin these full in-depth flights bro Loving it!!
Would love to suggest some flights for you for the future, perhaps away from the UK areas.
Btw, taking a 90 degree turn onto the runway with a heavy 747-400 at 15 knots would probably have those nose gear tires skidding away Lmao
22:35 made me chuckle. It is true that 36L (Polderbaan) is in the middle of nowhere, and the few times I've landed there it took absolute ages to get to the gate.
Hi Matt, another excellent video, please may we have more 737 Ryanair flights. I really like their route to Podgorica. Thanks and keep up your amazing work!
HOP is owned by Air France. Love your videos Matt! I do remember when you did LHR-PHL in the BAW 777 with one of your friends and it would be cool to see the return flight with the PMDG 747. BAW started flying the 747 on that route now😀
ETOPS was developed for twin engine aircraft flying over water. It doesn't apply to 4 engine aircraft
i think ( not sure) for the four-engine aircraft, etops is calculated by the numbers of extinguishers from the cargo compartments
Paul Trewin I am not satisfied about the flight time is only 20%
ETOPS was developed to let 2 engines aircraft fly long distances over water, it was developed long after the 747 came out as airlines wanted to take the 757/767 across the Atlantic but the FAA said time and time again no until eventually they were persuaded and ETOPS became a thing. ETOPS stands for Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standard. The key word there.... "Twin"
Cory Brayshaw ETOPS is now just "extended ops"
Connor P Nope. Cory is correct.
Love the videos. maybe a flight into Salzburg from somewhere. you landed at SEN and the scenery was incredible, maybe like the jet2 video but with EasyJet out of Southend. they only have at max 10 flights
KLM still operates the Amsterdam-St Maarten route. They first used the MD-11 on the routes, then changed to the B747-400M (M stands for mixed class configuration), and changed to an A330-200 operating this route from 2016 onwards.
love watching these. Perhaps Heathrow - Dubai next?
I love these kinda videos. just simply love them.
and is the traffic from VATSIM or something else
Rest in peace matt❤
Thanks for showing the planning! Just for info the view to the city you had on departure was not Amsterdam, it was Haarlem
Matt you could do an update to your Addons, Scenery configurations and stuff like that. And thumbs up! Those full flight videos are amazing, would like to see more of them hopping across europe or something like that.
Perfect this part
another great Video by Matt gg man :)
Fellow Lebanese!
yo :)
to this day, i still cant get over how funny the 36L rant is
Hey Matt, when they retract the gear, there's a subtle leveling of the plane. Usually nothing noticeable but if you look at spotting videos you see it.
Matt, the flight that I suggested is also fun in the EL AL 747-200
You know its gonna be good :)
And when GSX doesn't like it just go to edit airport in the addons and click the plane next to the wingspan and it should work
And for sound go options -> sound -> in ext view put that to yes and in bck ground put that to yes
Good Vid man!
Np
Great video yet again Matt ! It would be great if yould could do a flight in Australia.
WhyBringPoliticsIntoEverything?! Yeah I know, but a new one could be nice
Thanks Matt X
I think the Combi was originally designed for routes that weren't quite able to fill the full capacity of the 747, but was heavy on cargo. As for the difference between the Pratt & Whitney and General Electric engines, another easy way to tell is looking at the upper EICAS. The Pratt & Whitney engines use EPR, whereas the General Electric engines do not.
hi matt i love this pllane amazing to fly
I believe there is an option in the FMC to fix the sound. It's something like Setup-Aircraft-Sound and then mute on focus loss.
Ground power is connected near the nosewheel of the aircraft via a little hatch. Ground conditioned air is connected to the air mix manifold under the aircraft, same applies for air needed to start the engine except it is supplied straight to the pressure duct (in the event of an inop APU). This provides pneumatic air to start 1 engine, which which is then disconnected, the running engine is then give a cross bleed to start the remaining engine(s)
the video is been rendered in 1920x1080p @ 60fps, but Matt's screen and game is set to native 4K, so for people watching the video, the video gets compress to 1920x1080p and may make overpixelate an area but mostly should not effect people, but all depending on what screen you use.
HAHA! loved the 36L FML rant
When you mentioned about the bicycle I was thinking I had heard it before but I think I'm mistaking it for the decapitation story. If it was the one on a tandem then I'm thinking if the right one. I think I heard you talking about it around the time the 747 came out.
@Matt,
Rwy 36L is built so remotely from terminal because of the noise issue.. If you take a close look at the map and study dep and arr done on this rwy, you will notice that there is a corridor straight ahead on arr and dep with much less buildings underneath. The Dutch calculate and build logistic infrastructure very carefully and with attention to noise/pollution aspects.
screw the haters and relish the lovers, we are far more important. great video love these types of content very happy to see them back
Should do a video about the untold story of the 777 incident at Innsbruck with the famous flaperon fail XD Still the funniest stream but plz do a FULL IN DEPTH flight on it!
AFAIK, there's a setting in the 'sounds' option in the PMDG settings in the FMC to continue playing the sounds while tabbed out (along with the setting in P3D). If you enable both of them, then sound shouldn't cut out when you tab out :D works the same for the 777, but not an option in the 737
Love that they force you to use 36L :)
THAT WAS THE GREATEST TAKEOFF OF ALL TIME
Hey Matt, great video man. Keep up the terrific work! One question, were do you get all those charts from Amsterdam? Would really appreciate if you tell me. Thanks!
FlightPro if you are cheap you can just google the airports name/icao code followed by "charts" and you'll get some free ones. Otherwise you can subscribe to navigraph (like he does), and recive charts for every airport spanning the globe.
Hi Matt. The -Z sids are night time sids (after 2300z local). Also goes for star transitions. And 36L is so far away because of noise abatement reasons... :-(
Fantastic, keep the hard work going!
It will be nice though if you make a sort of "OBS tutorial" or "OBS config for flight sim recording"
NICEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! I love st maarten!
GreAT video
Hey ! Gotta say after many years that I have been following u, ur content has amazed me quite a bit !! Keep up the good work ! Can't wait for more vids !
could you tell me ur pc specs ?
Tks
Hey don't blame our beautiful polderbaan (36L) for being so dat away ;( we Just don't Have the space to Built a new one xD and now you can spot planes :D it's Just takes 15 min to het there :) good vid mate!!
well.... Amsterdam is difficult i know, but if you understand it, it's quite easy. RWY 36L/18R is made so the A380 can land and take-off, There are 2 Gorlo dep. because the Gorlo 1Z dep. is a night transition. Thats all, once again a great vidio.
To clmb direct go to VNAV page and select climb direct it will cancel all the altitude restrictions and climb to mcp altitude
That was excellent, even with the runway excursion & bumping. I always enjoy your commentary.
Please keep it up.
When I try to do the same flights on my simulator system, it just not the same. I have the original PMDG 747.
Matt, you should do a setup/planning video for the Q400! It would be nice to know how to calculate V-Speeds and how to do the load manager since you can't simply type in a ZFW.
Jared Yost aurasim does the v ref speeds I believe it's from the same people it's like $5 or the year I believe
For the people who are getting "pissed" about the planning, maybe include time-stamps in the description for skipping forward? Great video as always :)
lol
aweeeeesome!
@Matt Davies Where did you get the PH-BFU livery? its not in PMDG Operation Center
Would love to an in depth Dash 8 flight, that plane's always boggled my mind
Matt is correct about his questioning regarding 4-engine aircraft and the 'new' ETOPS term. ETOPS itself is outdated and being replaced by EDTO procedures, standing for Extended Diversion Time Operations which apply to all aircraft regardless of the number of engines. EDTO for four engined aircraft is defined as operations over a route that contains a point further than 180 minutes flying time in still air at the specified all engines operative cruising speed from an adequate airport. As such, the 744 in my company are operating under 195 minutes EDTO and the 748 under 240 minutes.
Amazing video matt thanks for uploading. Small question, for FSX do you know any good free scenery? Thanks
SkyHighSim - Belgrade and Tivat
Awesome man!!
what are the system u are having Rams , graphics card and others? So Smooth!!
Love to see a flight with the Just flight BAC1-11
I love this plane is amazing to fly to
Can someone tell me if the PMDG 747 has the same problem as the 777 where the view position in the VC moves as you turn the aircraft left or right?
Is that method for inserting step climbs also usable in the 777 (addind S after the number) ??
Hi Matt one small question. How do you disable the auto start of Ultimate traffic live.
