There’s a difference between healthy carbs and unhealthy carbs. For instance, cashews are a very healthy snack and they have 9g of carbs per serving. The problem people get into, even with foods like that, is they’ll eat 3-4 servings. And still think they’re only consuming 9g of carbs. 🤪
Natural fruit sugars are fine because the fruit contains fiber. BUT, we shouldn’t be consuming cakes, cookies, ice cream, chips, crackers, French fries… things like that.

Most active people need a good majority of the salt especially athletes, this study fails to mention activity levels, and fluid intake consumption, all those play a role in how much salt you should be consuming, very active people how consume 1-2 gallons of water per day, need at least 3000-5000mg of salt Per day, half of that will be gone, so your really only left with about 1000-2000mg a day

Sodium restriction equates to a 1% reduction in BP, while ingesting more potassium (veggies) is a 5-10% reduction in BP. Also NEWS FLASH ... high carbohydrate diets actually retain fluids and increase blood volume and blood pressure. Drop the carbs and eat your veggies and please DON'T cut back on the most essential nutrient (electrolyte) in the human body ... sodium. The sweet spot for the least all cause mortality is around 3500mg sodium or 1.5tsp. Lower that 2,300mg is worse than higher. Hypertension ... GONE. Also stop diluting the sodium in your body with overhydration. There's a "little" thing called thirst that's been programmed into the operating system of the Human body and it's primarily there to get us to drink water to dilute excess (primarily) sodium in our blood.

@@TREK1305 As I mentioned in my original post the “SOLUTION” is found in what we eat. I recommend going online and doing some research on zero carb diets (aka carnivore). Even Harvard has recently done a study that show the immense benefits of such a diet. I have been eating a meat only diet for over three years and my health has never been better. I will be 54 in a few weeks and I am in the best cardio health of my life. Many of my friends and family that are beginning to adopt this new lifestyle are seeing the benefits as well. The only time I feel unwell these days is if I have a cheat meal and allow myself some carbs. That is when I experience a relapse in autoimmune disorders, inflammation and pain which is why I eventually ended up living a carnivore lifestyle.
