On the eye end, the spacer should be below the bikes bracket, not above it. Only the nut should be above the bikes bracket. On my 11/2019 S1000R lucky for me the Torx bolt came out easily. Thanks for the video, great presentation !
So for one I'm seeing comments that you installed the spacer stack wrong on the fork, but two I don't believe you're going to be able to turn fully to the left because you didn't get the shock body on the shaft centered. You only have a very short amount of rod coming between the damper and the eyelet. Maybe I'm wrong but you might need to slide that over some
Nice channel, but please remember when filming from below, up to the triple tree lower, that the shot goes dark as it’s looking straight at your shop ceiling lights👍
@calimoto Thank you like always great videos... I know os 3 years old video but still ver much useful.... Do you have the part number for that 2016 s1000xr???? Also if you have your discount code 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bill! Are you still running with arrows +no ecu tune? If so, how’s it running? I want to get a pair of arrows and do the same thing but I’m afraid of running lean and damaging the engine over time. I don’t want to get the ecu flash and void warranty :(
Hey man I do have 2020 xr and I just install brentuning stage 2 on it now I'm really need steering damper because front get to light to my taste. So I'm wondering that damper works on 2020 model also any idea? To me should wor looks simple and easy but on the web when I inter my model and years said not fit on 2020 model and I can't find any place to buy
Wrong install instructions have been up for over 2 years. Come on guys, add an edit regarding the spacer and washer wrong positioning. BTW it's pretty obvious the spacer goes between unit and mount bracket. But still...people come here for guidance.
Hey Bill. Love your videos, Thanks for that. I have a 2016 XR as well, I saw that you upgraded your tires. Can you write what tires you put on and how do you like them. God Bless Shai
2nd hand loctite is good as long as you dont clean the threads. :)

Asking myself the same question I have a 90mm

hi bill nice video I have one question please this damper is only for track ? or can be used on road too ? the steering will be more hard ? thanks
You can use it on the street too. It helps stabilize the front end.

Bike is coming along great 👍
Hi Bill. Please share your thoughts on the steering damper upgrade, i.e., what benefits other than adjustability does it have over the stock damper.
Adjustability. Stock was too loose for our riding. Did great today at the track.
@@CaliMotoTV Thank you! 🙂
I’m really starting to miss my Xr. I say you do a header and see what you think before investing in the end can. Great vid.

the spacer on the fork has to be betweenn te damper and the fork not above the fork i think.

Would you get this for a 21 triumph street triple rs?
Completely different bikes. Are you looking for a sport touring bike or a naked sport bike? 🤔
@@CaliMotoTV naked sport bike/ daily commuter
I can use it for a BMW g310r?
There's really no reason for a steering damper on a 300 😂
