- In this video we install the HyperPro RSC Steering Damper. Super sweet part that I've been waiting for a long time! It's going to help on performance, handling and high speed festive rides! It should make it super smooth and keep the bike from getting speed wobble or "tank slap"

I wanted to thank you for helping me with the installation. The result: before: a wheelie machine that would shake its head under hard acceleration and high speeds. After: A pure sports bike that keeps its line like a locomotive under the exact same conditions.
Thanks for your install and subsequent ride demonstration videos. Based on your experience, I ordered the Hyperpro steering damper for my '23 MT-09 and plan on installing it this weekend. Great work.

Installed the same a few months back on my MT 09 2021…I was getting a very slight wobble at about 110 not that I am there much but sure helped…👍

On the ring that clamps too the forktube i would prefer to have close to 0 gap on the outside and then bigger gap on the inside. it will tighten uniformly anyway.
And 8-9 nm is absolutly nothing people, you have to use loctite and its super important not to over torqe this becouse you will destory your suspension.
I feel with these small clamps on fork tubes its gonna break either way one day.
i was afraid wacthing older models of mt09 to buy new one.. but on 2022 never felt any nestabilyty on front even on high speeds

hello, just want to ask if you dont mind, can you have a video of steering damper while your are moving it? just curious, that hole where you install the main bracket does it move while turning the handle bar?

@@chaderpelding5033 my bad. I will do it. The last three months have been crazy. I got engaged. My dad was hospitalized and was in really bad shape. Then the holidays. An now I got a new job. So a lot has been happening. But I plan on doing that video next. Hopefully within the next week or two.

No. Needs to be tightened and snug.

I saw a guy lowering the headlights on a MT09, after the lowering mod the front of the bike made more sense to me…maybe moving your headlights down a bit would Harmonize the front of your bike as well.

That rear bracket looks kinda flimsy, for pushing against the rotation of the damper
Looks like it. But trust me. I tried to bend it to see how strong it was and I could not! It’s a solid bracket.

With my broken clavicle healed up. I don't think that would be right for me. Once I get my bike I don't think I can afford that add on. Plus I think I would be riding that fast..........Maybe.

Not sure if wanna use that, would have to take it off to put on a headstock paddock stand, plus it would get crap in it, wouldn’t it be better if you got the Yss fitting kit?

Just got my 2021 mt09 sp and I’ve had wobbles under heavy acceleration and at about 70+mph. We’re you having similar issues? Did you have any wobble before the dampener? After? Thx!

Check my MT09 playlist. I made a video on it.
You can attach it to the hole on the engine (lift stand to work on the disassembled engine) near the exhaust manifolds. You just have to stretch the cables a little, run them down beside the radiator and the radiator pipe. Unfortunately I can't send you the photo
