I’m curious, if Spike’s failed attempt at singing Cloudsdale’s anthem during the Equestria Games counted as a song, where would you put it on your list? (Tbh I don’t get why it’s not counted as a song, when songs just as spoofy like Pinkie’s pig song or the CMC theme are considered songs)
It wasn't counted on account that I completely forgot about it when making this video 2 years ago.
Anyway it would've been in F Tier alongside Snips and Snails rap, both are intentionally bad
@@TheAman2311 I figured as much. Also it not being counted as a song isn’t on you, it’s literally not considered a song by the show creators for some reason, so it probably wasn’t on the lists you referenced.

Are you kidding me? A Better Way to be Bad is in my top 3 favorite songs in the series not only because I love the villain trio but the song even four years later cracks me up 😅

I really love the smile song and I'm really glad you put it at number one. It never fails to make me happy and I can't help but smile when I listen to it. I played the mlp mobile game and this is the song that plays when you open it up so it also blasts me with nostalgia. My other favs have to be What my cutie mark is telling me and babs seed for sure.

Yeah probably a fair ranking for Tricks up my Sleeve. The full album version though is absolutely S+++ tier and it's criminal how little of it was used in the movie. Also the Snips and Snails may not be good music but dang do I still find it hilarious.

EDIT: I've changed my opinion on this song and now I don't think it's that bad. I still don't like the rhetoric it chooses to employ, offering to use an appeal to forgiveness ("thorax used to be bad but now he's good!") instead of shooting down shining armor's eugenicist glue sniffing with FACTS and LOGIC, but ultimately there are both more blatant and more insidious examples of MLP's tendency to treat entire races as monoliths

Why is I'm On A Yacht so high?!
Regarding "The Spectacle", you pretty much hit the nail on the head what the song is about. It's meant to ultimately be not all that much as while it sounds great, it's all flash and no substance, and you end up with the far better, poignant and emotional song when Rara sings from the heart later in the episode.
For me, S tier is the music that's so good objectively I came to love it. The rest is all just pure opinion. Personally I only keep track of my two favorites and leave the rest to "it may be my third favorite but you'll never know unless you study me because even I don't know it" cuz like all the songs are good (or at least there are so many good ones I can say all and be right in a huge majority of cases brought as a counter point)
edit: oh btw my favorites are True True Friend and Cafeteria Song. Theyre not objectively anything in my mind. I just personally love them a lot.

At number 3. Smile.
At Number 2. Luna's Future. (best on all multi languages of the best singers that did that song)
At Number 1. Our Town. (For once Starlight Glimmer has the best Singer for the character role in this song and it delivers. Best Singer of all multilanguages!)
Now for the single best vocal, however.
At number 5. Pinkie's Lament (German) Pinkie Pie
At number 4. B.B.B.F.F. (French) Twilight
At number 3. Celestia Ballad (Korean) Princess Celestia

English is alright but my gosh I feel like English on some songs can be shamed forever.
Japanese will always be very overpowered. And that's why they are number 1 for MLP opener song music for MLP. (No contest is needed.)
Gotta disagree with the Japanese part. I listened to some of the songs in Japanese and it didn't have the same feel as the ones in other languages.

For me almost all the songs are perfectly fit for a specific time of the day or a specific situation.
With the exception of course of the ones in F Tier and Pinkie's Throw-away songs.
The quality of your videos is phenomenal, keep working at it and you'll be at a million in no time.

If I were to include the scrapped duet w/ Sunset tho it would've been an easy B+. The hardest part of this list was how many great songs had to be dropped down as to not flood the A and S tiers.
