@bamshablam5977 I'm not sure, but I think that Purple Hearts are a medal that are given to soldiers for outstanding military service. This is off the top of my head and might not be accurate, but I think that's what it meant.

I've been a Brony for solid over 12 years (started in December 2010) and going strong
Make Your Mark (G5) isn't the same cultural phenomenon as Friendship is Magic, but it's still a very cute cartoon overall, definitely gets better with each chapter (chapter 5 releasing in about a week, seems very nice from the previous, check out the songs "It All Takes Time" and "Mane Family" from this chapter); if you're not an active Brony, I'd definitely recommend checking it out, it might reignite your spark
my appreciation of My Little Pony definitely grew over the years and now, being an adult with an income, I hope to give back by providing stories and art, I'm learning to draw and write -- wish I did it earlier but my situation wasn't conductive to such hobbies
I wish more creative people stayed in the fandom and more would join nowadays, we definitely lack a modern equivalent of Friendship is Witchcraft (whether it'd be based off G4 or G5 or something entirely new loosely based on MLP), I've rewatched it so many times, I wish they made more -- now that many Bronies became adults and started earning money, they could earn money off Patreon or something if they made a comeback, but I'm afraid it's unlikely
the original Brony fandom was a lightning in a bottle, I don't know if we'll ever get anything like this, but I think the show influenced many people even if they don't see themselves as Bronies anymore and this way affected the society positively -- I remember how controversial it was to enjoy children's media past childhood or wear colorful androgynous clothing (the show defined my fashion sense in many ways and still does: Sunny Starscout encouraged me to try out braiding my hair and it's great, even if the society isn't yet at the point of accepting such brave fashion choices) as a guy when I started and now it's much better -- the change is slow, but I'm sure MLP influenced many people who became adults and now gain power over the society, changing it to fit the teachings of the Elements of Harmony instead of outdated laws of humanity

I’m not even kidding, I watched “Friendship is Witchcraft” when I was nine and in a massive MLP phase. I KNEW it was for audiences 16+ but nine year old me wasn’t going to stop herself from entertaining herself in a ridiculous way.

@@michaelbecket4901 Back in the day it was a pretty common line in the brony fandom that Rainbow Dash and Applejack's Elements of Harmony (Loyalty and Honesty respectively) didn't really fit them, and it would make more sense if they were swapped. FiW incorporated the fandom meme, with the added joke of it seeming like the creators swapped their Elements by mistake and had to correct it in editing

Comedy is subjective. Not everyone is going to appreciate this kind of dry humor, or sometimes meta humor, at least in terms of how Friendship is Witchcraft does it. It's too bad that I don't recall laughing this much at the jokes, as much as I recall the show's excellent soundtrack. They both deserve praise.

My favourite joke is the character of Newt Pippington from the Nightmare Night episode. The character is dressed as a pirate with an eyepatch and is trick-or-treating, so they dub him as saying "Ever since I lost my eye, I've craved nothing but candy!" calling back to both the "Eye Candy" joke and the "Eye of Newt" ingredient in Pinkie's Brew!

I saw some episodes of Friendship is Witchcraft before actually getting into the series, so I legitimately thought Fluttershy was somehow the daughter of a dragon when finally watching the real episode with them.

i was a fan of jenny nicholson for like a year before i discovered she did most of these voices. back in the day i always thought the impressions were so good, she's scarily good at it. and the humor/timing was top notch
