Another great video, Jason. I was thinking, your drone, it's like having a trained bird crossed with a magic wishing chair. Maybe you should stick to flying with the drone rather than paragliding, it's safer! Glad to hear your arm's improving. 👍 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Some awesome scenery and shots there brother. For me a trip down memory lane from my two year posting there 91 to early 93 where I ended out my RAAF career. Lived on King St in the heart of the city and would cycle 30 km out to RAAF base. On weekends would just party, but also get up and run to the Merewether baths and swim a few clicks. Great days. Now am an old man living in Chiang Mai, Thailand watching vanlife videos......can't complain though :)
Thanks mate! Sounds like some fair rides and runs 😁👍 I really want to head over to Thailand and Vietnam for some very extended stays too. I probably should at least head over there for 3 mths or so just for a change of scenery. We'll see how long it takes me to get sick of vanlife 😂
@@MakingStuffGoingPlaces you won't get sick of it until something comes along that perks your interest even more....maybe boat life....cheers, thx for the reply :)
The starfish & the little fish in that rock pool were so cute! The foggy sunrise at redhead was beautiful too. If you’re in Newcastle looking for water again I recently discovered there’s a tap hidden in the bushes facing the road in that top car park on York Drive. Never even knew it was there till the other day when I drove past a guy I see in there all the time in his camper who had his hose connected to it washing his camper. The weather shields look great. They work better than you think. I have them on my Hiace & I accidentally left my windows down all night when we were at a free camp we arrived to late & I was tired & forgot about the windows & it poured rain through the night & I realised when I got up the next morning that my windows were down & I checked the seats & everything & all of it was dry. I couldn’t believe it lol. Was the place right on the water at the creek the place I told you about? It’s beautiful there but every time I’ve tried to go there lately someone else has beat me to it lol. Do you have any plans of where you’ll go next now that you don’t have to hang around here for paragliding for the next few weeks?
I think those rock pools had the most life of any I've seen in a long time. I'll have to have a look around for that tap. Need another fill point around there 😂 The spot on the creek was just opposite the dog park at Speers Point. I haven't gone down the other side yet. While I can sleep in that residential estate, I'm making the most of it...so quiet there 😁 My plans....still in the making...😂
😂 yeah, still gets hot but it's all about how you park. I try to get the wind blowing in the sliding door, but sometimes also get the sun... Find some shade or go park by the ocean. But yes, there's still unpleasant days....they're good for shopping trips 😂
I look forward to your vids every couple of days 😊 i am happy to see you are getting some nice weather instead of rain while you are out & about 😄 i love Newcastle, unfortunately i have only visited when i am on my way to Qld or Melb, so was always time restrictions. One day i will stay a lot longer, in the meantime i will live through your vids 😆 can i please ask what you use to edit your videos? I am having trouble finding a decent one.
Thanks Bella. Plenty to see in Newcastle....I've spent months there now 😂 I'm using DaVinci Resolve. It's a professional package that they offer a free version of too. Very powerful but you'll need a high spec computer and graphics card. Mine struggles! If you want to edit in your phone, Ive used Inshot. Actually works really well and is quick to use. I deal with so many video clips now though, that the laptop is the best way to do it for me
I reckon it's a Fuel Ship, I'd guess it go's out & refuels Ships! I've seen a similar Boat refuel the Cruise Ships in Sydney! Another great Video Jason. Cheers!!
Thanks Jason 😊 A couple of people are suggesting it's a dredge which is really interesting. I've seen the refueling tankers in Melbourne as well, so yeah, I figured it might have been something like that too but never seen it hook up with a ship.
Thanks Coral. I like the concept of going and listening to live music, but every time I do it, I'm just disappointed by the type of music being played 😂 I have such an "alternative" music taste.....I probably need to go to a rave party...but can't stand smoke and drugs 😂
Hey Jason, if you are camping at Mt White tonight, I think I just drove past you at 11pm !!!!!! If you're still there in the morning, I'll drive back up the hill and visit you !!!!
😂 I actually saw someone with "courier" on the side of their van in Newcastle....but the portable solar panels on the nature strip kind of gave it away. Subdivisions are generally one of the places that no one really causes me any drama. That's why I like to find them when I can.
Thanks Sean. RUclips can be a little unreliable sometimes. I've had people with comments disappearing, some that I don't get notifications for.... It's a little sad as I really enjoy reading the comments. Hopefully yours sorts itself out.
@@MakingStuffGoingPlaces I've had that happen many times Jason - with yours and a one other channel. Now I can see my comment as I'm typing this reply.
Really want to but have had to keep close to Sydney to support my aging mother. But hey, I have lived in Victoria for the last 25 years, so just loving being this far north at the moment 😁
Morning! Since it will be at least a month before you can paraglide have you thought of going somewhere else for a bit? Will you go to your mum's for Christmas?
😁 thanks mate. Yes, I'm very conscious of taking it easy on it, though every now and then I hit an unexpected bump that doesn't feel the best....🙄 Really need to stick to paths for now.
Oh ok. That's very interesting. It goes in and out the bar several times every day. I guess they must just lightly skim the bottom each time to keep it open. Thanks 😊👍
Jason I keep rushing to get to my Saturday squads. Either I'm going to have to get up earlier or you're going to have to make your videos 5 minutes shorter 😂😂🤣🤣
Hi Jason another great video love see my home town I have a you tube channel about Metal Detecting Newcastle beaches called Newy Detecting only new to you tube anyway thanks Jason

Yeah, at least if the drone crashes, it doesn't hurt! Well, only financially anyway...
It was the David Allan dredge, keeps the shipping channel navigable. Love watching our home town on these vids.
Ah cool. That's good to know, thanks. Been wondering about that for ages 😂

Somewhere along the path from the top of the cliffs to the bottom is a nudist beach. I’m surprised you didn’t catch them on your drone!🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂 maybe a bit too early.... probably for the best!
Christmas bike ride in Newcastle tonight from 6 ..if u in town...great video mate
Ah,really...already left town. That would have been fun 😁
Great video!
Thanks Sophie 😊
I’m so glad to see that weather shields are still available!! Where did you go? ❤❤❤
Hi Vikki. They're from a Ford dealer. I think most the bigger dealers will have a set in stock.

Another stunning tour, thanks Jason!
My pleasure 😊
Amazing Geology there in Newcastle, what looks like Coal Seam's in the Bank @0:31. I give up it is a nice looking place!
Yeah, it fascinating around the coast. Yes, it's coal. I did a video several months back where I walked that rock shelf. A really interesting walk!
ruclips.net/video/mSI9pE3CgTc/видео.html
This is where I walked it. There's a really bizarre rock in there too....😁
Watching you explore my backyard while I sit in Air con ... 😂 I get out soon enough 😂
Oh how do you deal with the hot hot days in a van ? I just installed the same fan as yourself but its an oven 😂

Maybe Lintern st boat ramp :)
Thanks Dave 😊
Newy is a great spot loving the drone shots Merewether hotel has good food & music Sunday Arvo’s

@ 😂 my local tavern has awesome music all the 80’s my era 🤭most Sunday’s that’s where I am you get a great variety up here no rave parties 🤣

good morning, lucky dude to be able too do what you do! hows the arm! walked nobby's head nice spot!
Thanks Carey😊
Yeah, I'm very fortunate to be able to live the way I want.
The arm is getting noticeably better every day, which is great 😁
Hey Jason, if you are camping at Mt White tonight, I think I just drove past you at 11pm !!!!!!
If you're still there in the morning, I'll drive back up the hill and visit you !!!!
Nuh, not me. I haven't gotten down that far yet. 😊
get magnetic door signs with security on them so you look like you belong in housing subdivision at night

Subdivisions are generally one of the places that no one really causes me any drama. That's why I like to find them when I can.
Must have almost run into you at Warners Bay! I have seen a few campers at the park at Croudace Bay and nobody seems to bother them.
Yeah, I've thought of staying there, but it's a bit noisy. Once they build houses in the little spot I've been using, I'll have to find alternatives.
@ I’ll have a think and if I have any ideas I’ll let you know.
Great video Jason. For some reason, I can't see my comments as I'm typing them - only on youtube. Aye yay yay

why don’t you travel
out of your backyard/nsw ?
head north
west

do a lap or
just boomerang trips

Great drone footage Jason. What brand is the drone you are using? I think you did mention it a while back so my apologies for fogetting.
Thanks Michael 😁
It's a DJI Neo. If you don't need the following ability though, the DJI mini 4k would give better quality pictures.
Keep a drones eye out for great white sharks in Lake Macquarie, they like to have a swim through. (on youtube)
Oh great! When I went for a swim at Wangi Wangi there was a sign saying "dangerous marine life" 😂
@ okeeee, well let us know if there are any enclosed swimming areas to use. Keep out of murky water as the Bullsharks like it.
@cycledelic44 I'll make sure I only swim in popular spots to improve my odds of survival 😂
Morning! Since it will be at least a month before you can paraglide have you thought of going somewhere else for a bit? Will you go to your mum's for Christmas?
Hi Daisy. While it's nothing new, I'm considering heading to Melbourne to visit my son and my friends. But yes, spending Christmas day with mum.
@@MakingStuffGoingPlacesMelbourne is lovely though...go inland via Harden ...my home town. Can't promise it's exciting though lol
