Women & Media Cafe in New York

June 21, 2024 is a breakthrough day for the Filipino community in New York with the launch of Women & Media Cafe. It is an innovative platform to amplify the voices and action of women and community organizations on issues that matter to them. Held at the Philippine Center on 5th Avenue, it was a well-attended affair with three major parts: dinner and networking, media forum (with speakers Cielo Buenaventura of The New York Times; Justine Calma of Vox, and Anne del Castillo of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs), and Short Stories Concert (with Carla Mongado).
