The Doors were a cohesive unit. Each brought their gift to the table. Robbie, John, and Ray were classically trained musicians. Jim was an avid reader. In school, his English teacher questioned him because of the books he was writing about the teacher had never heard of them. It turned Jim was ordering books from the Library of Congress. Jim's lyrics contained metaphors, which provoked this listener to carefully and decipher what he was saying (I started to listen to him when I was 8 years old). Much of their music was a reflection of what we were experiencing back in the 1960s. They were very anti-establishment. Everything they produced was/is my favorite.

Gpa Elliott does a great version of "Stand By Me ." You have just scratched the surface of Queen, they had 18 albums. Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum. I personally love "Dragon Attack,"live and "Seven Seas of Rye at the Oden," Sweet Mother Love," the last song Freddie recorded.
