Thank you Carl! It's certainly not an option. We can't live in a trailer for much longer, so we must get the house done. We will make it one way or another.

You know, it had been a hard day. I was so nervous and freaked out about installing the window from up in the man lift and then it didn’t fit and I knew I’d have to do it again. When it didn’t fit, I just lost it. It was super frustrating. I’m glad it all works out, but it was definitely the most difficult part of our build so far.
Why didn't you just buy or rent a power planer and plane down your rough opening to the proper dimensions? It would have taken an hour or two at the most to fix that problem. And there's absolutely no crying in baseball... I mean home construction.
@@OneFootOfftheGrid FYI…for future reference, you don’t need to remove the nails. Depending on how much you need to plane down, you can simply take a punch and a 2 lb sledge and drive them deeper. You can also grind the heads with a Dremel. Both I have had to do a time or two. Just a couple of options.
Every building starts out the same. One piece of wood at a time. There's nothing scary about it that way. Looking at the big picture from the start can be scary. Read some books, watch some vids. ask other 's advice...

Why r you crying everything will come together 🤣
You know, it had been a hard day. I was so nervous and freaked out about installing the window from up in the man lift and then it didn’t fit and I knew I’d have to do it again. When it didn’t fit, I just lost it. It was super frustrating. I’m glad it all works out, but it was definitely the most difficult part of our build so far.
Why didn't you just buy or rent a power planer and plane down your rough opening to the proper dimensions? It would have taken an hour or two at the most to fix that problem. And there's absolutely no crying in baseball... I mean home construction.
I thought about that, but we needed to take down 3/4" in some spots. In any case I would have had to take the nails out anyway for the planer to work.
@@johnnelson8956 great tips. Thanks for sharing.
Every building starts out the same. One piece of wood at a time. There's nothing scary about it that way. Looking at the big picture from the start can be scary. Read some books, watch some vids. ask other 's advice...
too long ...
Sorry. Maybe our channel just isn't for you?
