You have to see him live. The music pulses through your vanes and straight into your soul. It doesn’t matter who you have seen live, no other band can do to your senses what Billy and his band can do. Absolute bucket list concert.
Growing up in rural east TN, this song hit hard. Watched so many people I love pass away, unable to break hard family chains or the call to use. It was very hard to leave them and become a person who could help. Just wish I had got better before I lost my little brother. This is an amazing song about healing. Just wish some of the people lost didn't have to be. Amazing Music.
Sorry about your brother friend. I'm from Kentucky, hits hard here too, lost so many friends to not only opiates but alcohol as well. Was fortunately able to get my younger brother to wake up from his to decade long addiction. But so many couldn't hear their souls calling out to the. I guarantee you this song has saved people, music has that power. Much love to you and your family!
Discovered Billy Strings two weeks ago when I watched an older video called Lower Standards where Billie was playing Dust in a Baggie in someone's Living Room. I'm guessing he was about 18 years old at the time. That video led me to other of Billie's videos and I must say I was astonished at his talent. Have since bought three of his albums. A friend of mine who is very much into bluegrass indicated that Billie is well known by bluegrass buffs. I like bluegrass but it seems to me that while Billie is great with conventional blue grass he has gone beyond that. His songs like "Dust in a Baggie," "Turmoil and Tinfoil," "Might Be Seven," and many more seem to be a mix of bluegrass, southern rock, metal and folk. Whatever one wants to call it he is truly a generational talent.
WOOOO HOOO LOVE U BILLYYYYY🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 LIFE IS SO MUCH BETTER THANKS U G DAWG HAHAHAH LETS DISCUSS LIFE OVER A BOWL SOMETIME BUDDY OL PAL LOVE YA!
I too came from the dust in a baggie house party vid, now I KNEEL before the MAGNIFICENT Billy and Co, and ALL you brother and sister fans out there, bless yall
BILLY STRINGS bringing TRADITIONAL BLUEGRASS into the NOW.... He is the new future of bluegrass music... Such a very talented young man... Love everything he done... If you love bluegrass then he is the one to listen to...
What a beautiful tune! Makes me so happy to be fortunate enough to share this space in time with such a talented man and band making such incredible music.
We heard this at Magustos Pizza & Burger Pub in Minturn Colorado yesterday on our return trip to the Midwest. I love the music and message. Excellent animation!
What a beautiful song. I just recently discovered Billy and I am gonna do my best to share his music with anyone and everyone I possibly can. I hope this man gets the recognition he deserves
Ol' Bill.... I use to be able to buy a whole table for 60 bucks, now I cant even buy a seat for that. Kudos man. I'm happy that all your hard work is paying off. I was lucky enough to see you before the algorithms sent you into the ether. Thankful for those times. Keep on pick'n and a grinn'n!
Keep doing what you’re doing bro we see you and soon enough everyone will...please don’t get discouraged and whatever you do please don’t give up. I want to see you make it so bad!!
Having spent many years touched by the Jerry Soul. And the Good ole Grateful Dead. I’ve waited some time now to see where that flame will pop up next. At last I’ve found it in Billy Strings. Thank you
Billy Strings is such a talent musician in so many way. He is still young. He has a lot of furniture a head. Can't help saying he will go so far as to become a ledgen if he isn't already. All his band members are also great players of their instrument which contributes to making this record so good. I give this record a 10+
I just don't understand what is it that sometimes makes me cry, not always but when i do i wonder. Is it the beautiful sound of the violin, the pickings of the banjo, the voice, the guitar, the other instruments. Or maybe just my personal situation that I'm in when i cry listening to this masterpiece. Either way if i cry or not i will always enjoy this song.
I swear 🥰 this kid is my soul fam my brother of the light thanks for being part of my journey and it musical medicine I hear thunder in a dream two weeks before it hit RUclips and I cried I will play with u one day fam

Billy Strings is the future of music. I see him bringing so many different fans together!
Totally agree. He will draw people who would not otherwise listen to blue grass. Wouldn't be surprised if he released a metal album soon.
The future of music sounds like the past

Him and Tyler Childers and Sturgill Simpson

It's like if James and the Giant Peach traveled the Appalachian trail from Georgia to NYC. . .
Beautiful song and visuals
Dust in a baggie brought me to this absolute mast of guitar & storytelling 🎸

Billy Strings turned into a legend ...thanks RUclips algorithms
Idk... I think talent might've had a lil to do with it too 😂
His talent is making him a legend - RUclips algorithms didn’t have a damn thing to do with it.
This is incredible!!! BMFS is incredible. He’s brought my mom and sister and I together!!!
Wow
I call it 💥NEWGRASS💥
LOVE IT
music for the ages. music for the muse.
Newgrass isn’t that new. In the 70’s or 80’s there was a band called “Newgrass Revival”. Check them out-I think you will love it!
@@patcantrell1460
It's newer than bluegrass, whenever, so...um, yeah.
Oh Billy this world needs this so bad!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Keep at it Billy... The world needs more art like this! Or atleast I do!
I wish this song had 5 more verses, coupled with fiddle, guitar, and banjo breaks.... till then I’m looping
