I have a 2020 Telluride with 18,500 miles on it and have never had a problem of any kind, not one. It is the most awesome car I have owned, and at my age I have owned a bunch, all new and high end vehicles.
Just graduated & I purchased the 2022 moss green night & prestige package. I love it!! I am not a small car kinda girl & this gives me all the room for my dog, husband & shopping bags duh!
I bought my first kia, the 2021 Telluride....and love it. It's an amazing SUV. I purchased the SX, fully loaded. Love taking drives with the family, and seeing others on the road. It's great to be among one of the few Telluride owners.
I just purchased my wife a 2022 Kia telluride with the new emblem, we absolutely love it! Best vehicle I have ever owned in my life!! It rides like a luxury vehicle all day long
I love my Telluride EX! I was able to get for MSRP! I wouldn't pay over. I have 16K miles with no problems and love the way it rides. Very comfortable for a big family and I'm 6'3". I'm getting 23.6 MPG's. My wife and I look at each other after a long ride boy did we buy right.
@@robvazquez2074 True LOL :) As a former fleet and Ford mechanic most cars go problem free till 70K. Powertrain wise. But I was able to get all of my personal vehicles past the 150K without problems. It's all in how you take of it.
@@sheribublitz8645 KIA of Middletown NY. When I purchased august 2020 they sold them for MSRP. I think they have a price adjustment now, Call around to each dealer you are willing to drive to and find out. That's how I found them. Its tougher to buy a car now then a year ago. Good luck
Hey, quick question. I ordered a EX (due to bench seat) to be picked up next month. Does the smaller wheel size on EX bother you at all? Does it take away from the look of the Telly? Planning on may be run thru the stock tires and then switch it to SX wheels and tire, may be 🤷🏽♂️
I have the 2021 SX Prestige nightfall and I get compliments all the time. Didn't buy it for that reason, I bought it only because that's what I liked. I've bought many new, decently high end vehicles. This vehicle holds it's own. I like the boxy rugged look. For a long trip, you can get away with 5 roomy, comfortable occupants. 7 for around town. I hear they're still on back order and some prices are a bit crazy. The one I bought just came off the delivery truck that morning. I was extremely fortunate to get it. I did my "follow" research on the Telluride for a year and a half. So I switched from the 2018 Serento, which I was having a bit of trans trouble, to the Telluride. Definitely has a few things I'd like to see improved. But the warranty is a good selling point and the bells and whistles it comes with, competes with suv's almost twice the price. Kia really did their homework on this suv. Got it fully loaded with towing pkg and few extras under 50k.
Five months and 10K miles into it, I’m convinced that it’s one of the best vehicle purchases I ever made. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to pay tens of thousands for dollars more for a “luxury” SUV that is no better (or not as good).
More HP,More Speed, less plastic, better materials….telluride interior materials are trash..what looks like metal is plastic, the leather is some of the worst ever…I know,I have one….
We got a Telluride SX right after they came out. Two years in and we are still very pleased. I highly recommend it. It’s my wife’s vehicle but I drive it almost as much as she does. Especially on long road trips.
I picked up a 2022 Nightfall Edition Telluride SX last week and it is spectacular. The 291HP, 8 speed transmission engine has plenty of get up and go to quickly and in control move this 4400 pound all wheel drive SUV. The cabin is smartly designed and the amenities, comfort and visibility are all excellent. I did a lot of research before making my decision and so far I believe I got the best vehicle available for my needs. These Tellurides are difficult to come by for reasons beyond the current global supply chain issues. There is a high demand because the Telluride is a great vehicle. With a smooth, quiet, yet sturdy feeling ride, I feel safe and comfortable on the road. The dealer said they’re primarily getting base and premium models sent to them. Mine is one of the middle trims and I feel that I lack for nothing while saving 5K off the premium trim. Delivery did take some time, so if you’re interested it’s a good bet that ordering sooner than later is wise. Oh one last thing if you’re tall like me. The SX trim and up has an extendable front of seat feature on the driver’s seat. Never seen a feature like it before and intend to have it on every vehicle I purchase going forward. The seats are so comfortable that I actually had a headache go away as I took a 40 minute drive last night. Highly recommend the Telluride to anyone looking for an SUV that has a near perfect mix of comfort, size, stowage space, power, fuel economy and handsome looks. Mine is the all black Nightfall Edition and after only a week I’ve had a number of strangers go out of their way to compliment it. I am so far very pleased with my purchase.
@@sameersawla I didn’t really. I ordered the vehicle in August and the dealership bungled the whole thing pretty spectacularly. I didn’t hear anything from them for months and then a different sales person called asking if I had ordered a vehicle? Then he informed me that the salesman I was working with was no longer with the company. When I sent a message looking to confirm a scheduled test drive, they accidentally responded by saying they had sold my Telluride. Thankfully they said that in error, but it was not the sort of experience one expects when trying to make such a large purchase. So I held their feet to the fire so to speak. Full disclosure, if there was a reasonable expectation I could get the same vehicle at another dealership in a reasonable amount of time, I wouldn’t have given this dealership my business. But the bottom line is that they dared not mark up my price because they would have their name in lights for all the wrong reasons thanks to me.
I would like to get one. What i don't want to do is get into a bidding war. I actually know a guy who works at a kia dealership. They can't keep a telluride on the lots. People get into bidding wars. The other option is to direct order one from the dealership. Good luck with the chip shortages.

I love my 2021 Telluride SX. We’ve taking several road trips already and averaging about 30 highway miles. Coming from a Mercedes SUV. I miss 3 small features. Automatic wipers, lock button on the trunk, break hold being “automatic” not remembering to turn the feature on every time.
It has automatic wipers (second position down on the stalk) and you can even adjust the speed of it - I’ve never used a brake hold and I’m not sure what purpose they serve - the lock button on the trunk would be nice. Also needs larger bottle holders in the doors and the lock/unlock push buttons on the rear doors.
I have a 2021 EX Night Fall that I bought this past May 2021. After just 17,234 miles as of November 17 I decided to get rid of it because I’m buying a 2022 Telluride SX-P which is what I should have bought in the first place. Suffice it to say my wife and I enjoy it very much..

Loved your video! I wanted to watch the Kia Telluride driving around. You achieved that perfectly. I ordered our 2022 Kia Telluride SX, Nightfall, Prestige. In the current environment, we paid…drumroll (and perhaps have a seat for this one)…$60k in Hawaii. Kia can’t keep the car on the lots. And our order will take 3-6 months to arrive. We didn’t want to get into the bidding war but our primary vehicle broke down. The worst timing. We thought of picking up the Audi Q7 for $10k more but that order would take 6-8 months to arrive. I never thought I would pay $60k for a Kia in this lifetime. But honestly, I test drove every gorgeous midsize SUV on the market. The Telluride is absolutely identical to the BMW X5 but better equipped. All about the bells and whistles, namely, having USB ports in the necessary locations. The smoothness of the ride is a dream. The only thing I would offer, for my needs, I would love for the SX Prestige to have a second row bench. I loved the massive space in the EX with a bench. It was perfect for the little ones to jump around and turn the car into their playground. But the SX has the larger driver and front passenger seats, supposedly, which is ideal for anyone over 6’2. Can’t wait to receive ours!
2022 Telluride absolutely needs two exhausts at the back and a digital dash, at least in the top model. A redesign of the screen and overall dash won't hurt either.
I have a 2020 and have a 188000 some of the things I have had, I have replaced the back shocks twice, second I lost the high beams on both headlights, third I am starting to have a shifting problem when I start out in the morning, so all of these happen out of warranty. And they tell me nothing can be done because a recall has not be issued.
Do you have the self leveling suspension or normal rear shocks? 190k is a lot unless you are talking about km, then Trans issues at that point is less than ideal. Especially since doing that in 2 years means tons of long drives which are easier on the car.
We bought a new 2020 Telluride last yr, have put nearly 15,000 miles on it. It has never been in the shop for anything. I do all my own oil changes on virtually everything I own where it’s a 4 wheeler or a Harley for two reasons. 1 it saves me money. 2 , I have trust issues with people in general. If you want something done right? You do it yourself. Anyway, the engineering is pretty good on this vehicle as oil and filter changes with the proper tools is not bad and the air filter? Your 9 yr old could change it, it’s that easy. I love my Dodge Ram, but I cuss them every time I have to change the air filter! Lol. KIA got it right, and it’s not hard to look at either.
I just bought a Telluride 2022 LX the alarm keeps going off at 2:00 am, the Digital speedometer blacks out, when I use my key to start my car in the house the air conditioner does not turn on… I took it to Kia they said they did not see anything, but they wanted to know if a mechanic could take it home over night to see if he would have these problems (I did not know what to say)… I am over it, I want them to give me another car, I do not want that car, I am paying too much money to be having these problems that no one see ms but my husband and I (I HAVE VIDEOS OF EVERYTHING)…
I love my Telluride but I do recognize they throw lemons out there. Stay on top of that dealership. Please stay in prayer. The King of Kings will work it out God bless.
Bought my wife one. I had to persuade her a lot to switch from a Suburban. She likes the Wolf Grey Telluride SX AWD Nightfall Premium package better. She loves her Telluride.
When you test drive, put it on the highway and get it up to 80mph. Be sure it doesn't shake. They will do everything in their power to avoid fixing it properly. I think it's a drive shaft balance issue. Starts shaking at 55 or 60mph.
I have 2022 Telluride EX with wheel vibrates over 72 miles an hour. Have not been able to enjoy it from day one. It been back and forth in shop and kia can't tell me what wrong with it ,or when it can be fix. Almost 30 days in shop.
KIA and Hyundai had major recalls on their cars like electrical problem that will cause fire. Is that fixed on their 2022 KIA like telluride? because Im thinking of owning one and I sort of hesitant after hearing their major recalls even though it was for later years cars.
I love the telluride and I am planning to get one when it's below MSRP. Never paid for a car at MSRP and never will. I will be getting the sxp with nightfall package.
I own one I paid sticker for mine. They were asking 7 thousand dollars over sticker. First 5000 miles were the best 5000 miles in any vehicle I have owned. I'm 63 and owned several vehicles suvs. So far hands down the best of class.
I test drove one, felt good, but read alot of problems about them. They are better but I know what I'm getting with durango which is the direction I'm heading
I have a 2021 sx prestige awd and it’s almost perfect - have owned German stuff in the past and finally got sick and tired of constant issues (mainly bmw) - bought my wife a land cruiser and I got this.
Imo, they're loaded with features but still use less than quality materials as far as the actual hard parts of vehicle. I'd be interested to see if any can go 200k without engine/Trans or other drivetrain issues
Great vehicle other than a BIG flaw in safety for us all . No recovery points anywhere ...Here’s a question, in the commercial where the Telluride is drifting through a muddy field, if they got stuck what would be the connection point for a 4x4 vehicle to pull it out? It was marketed as a very capable off-road vehicle but the manual instructs that a tow truck should pick up by the wheels to avoid damaging the AWD system. Have we forgotten the “Give it Everything” campaign already?
Three reasons: The vehicle is extremely Popular so the demand is high. Secondly there’s an issue with chips that are causing issues with production industry wide. Last, we live in a consumer culture that doesn’t care what they pay
As far "cost to fix being NA" the Telluride only came out in 2019, none of them or old enough to be out of warranty and yes I suppose someone could have run up enough miles in that time to be out of warranty but look at the mileage of when those complaints were made, most likely they were covered by the warranty and cost the owner nothing.
I just have the 2022 telluride and I had a problem with the AC DENSER they said it was puncture with a smal rock. Pfff the cost of this was of total of 2K MY insurance paid 1300 I paid the rest 🤬 very disappointing with KIA
I was able to get a BMW X5 xDrive 40i for the same payment. Just about every dealer in Southern California has a $15,000 adjusted market value (mark up). On a $49,000 SX with a 15,000 Mark Up and takes, Out the door was 68,000. With 3k down and 15k miles a year, the payment came out to 1,149 with tax. I was able to get the X5 for 599 Plus tax with 3k down
That’s a total ripoff and should not be allowed ! Nobody in there right mind will spend 70k on a Telly! That dealership should be reported or something. I bought mine SX nightfall for 50k
@@nickmundo8265 I called DTLA Kia and they want 7,500 over, Car Pros Carson wanted 15,000. When I called corporate, they said the dealers aren’t owned by them and they are allowed to mark them up. Maybe I should look at a Sorrento if I don’t want to pay a mark up
I almost bought a Telluride about 3 weeks ago. I was sitting in the finance office and just walked out. The mark up just felt wrong and I couldn't sign the papers.
My sister and Brother in law's 2021 SX Telluride sunroof exploded. I Googled it and it is not just a Kia problem, it is a problem with all vehicles with a panoramic roofs. Said it was because the glass was so thin. With heat and hitting bumps on the road, it put stress on the glass. Kia refused to honor the warranty . Said it was glass and not covered under warranty.
@@DanDanger514 I’m assuming you’re in the states because we don’t have that level of trim in Canada. They only come with at most, a dual sunroof. I didn’t realize the trims in the use offered a panoramic.
I own a 2021, Glacial white pearl/ Black Nappa Leather seat trim , SX nightfall edition, SX prestige package. I was hoping for these changes for 2022,digital display, auto tilt steering wheel, dual exhaust on both sides, tuck the back windshield wiper under the top part of back window. Maybe a turbo or hybrid engine. Very disappointed....
I have a 2021 sx prestige and it’s almost perfect. I’ll trade it in for a hybrid if they come out with one. Thinking about swapping for a sorento until they do because I’ve started driving so much.
One thing to know: You ain't touching one for anything close to MSRP and can expect to spend at least $5K or more over MSRP unless you can wait for a custom ordered Telluride.
People, this is a KIA. It was just a few short years ago that this stuff was crap. The big question is what will be the resale value in the next 36 months?
I had a 2020 KIA Telluride 'S' trim that I purchased in April of 2019. These are really good SUVs. However, when things do go wrong with them, and the problems I had were minor except for the horrible and unroadworthy headlights, is when this vehicle will leave a terrible impression with their worst in class customer service. After just 3 months shy of 3 years of ownership, I was just tired of the "excuse of the day" as to why problems were not being fixed. I am now enjoying the V8 in my new Lexus SUV and I can now see the road at night also.
most kia buyers are first time kia owners. as previous kia buyers no better and do not want to be burned twice. kia engines are known to go bad from 30,000 miles to 130,000. they can blow the engines or have the famous oil consumption troubles where they burn one quart of oil per 1,000 miles or less. the worst part is that kia will sometimes find a way to not honor their warranties. they have gone as far as saying its normal for a car to burn a quart of oil every 1,000 miles so they wont have to fix it.
And that is covered in this video along with lots of other pertinent and important information. If you want to only know what's new for 2022, feel free to use Google.
Test drove this car, and with all the reviews and hype expected to love it. didn't. Interior is nice.. Can't get past the amber DRLS on upper models. Just awful. Also while the engine figures are comparable to many others it felt sluggish to drive in comparison.
My wife couldn’t stand those lights either. I actually like them because the vehicle is so visible in all lighting conditions. You can pick out a Telluride from a half mile away. Telluride sighting I say when I spot one. The wife doesn’t seem to mind them as much as she did.

Dam I want the 2022 model, I love the new logo!
I am looking for one now they are hard to come by in Florida
NEW change: The 2022 model offers 8 seats AND awd (that was not the case in any previous year). Oh, and the front grill badge is so cool!
When you test drive, put it on the highway and get it up to 80mph. Be sure it doesn't shake. They will do everything in their power to avoid fixing it properly. I think it's a drive shaft balance issue. Starts shaking at 55 or 60mph.
II can drive mine 90mph all day with absolutely no problems;]
Thanks for letting us know.
I have 2022 Telluride EX with wheel vibrates over 72 miles an hour. Have not been able to enjoy it from day one. It been back and forth in shop and kia can't tell me what wrong with it ,or when it can be fix. Almost 30 days in shop.
I am interested in the future purchasing one
How does it compare with the Ford/Edge/Platinum?
Bought the 2022 kia telluride ex awd for my wife. We both love it. Got the gravity grey with nightfall edition
2022 Kia Telluride and I absolutely LOVE ❤️ it😍
Looking to buy an S AWD, hopefully, I can get it close to sticker, its the end of the month right? I'll try!
I own a 2020 Telluride. I absolutely love it and I'm in the market for a 2022.
Nightfall package gets pleathure seats over nappa leather
@@davebank3218 Incorrect. You get either leather or Nappa leather depending on trim level.
You’ll love it. Have a 2021 sx awd and it’s about perfect. I paid sticker for it in November when a lot of people were paying thousands over.
I own one I paid sticker for mine.
They were asking 7 thousand dollars over sticker.
First 5000 miles were the best 5000 miles in any vehicle I have owned. I'm 63 and owned several vehicles suvs.
So far hands down the best of class.
Good luck in finding one under MSRP.
I test drove one, felt good, but read alot of problems about them. They are better but I know what I'm getting with durango which is the direction I'm heading
My wife has a 2018 Tiguan the lease is up next March looking to replace it
I have a 2021 sx prestige awd and it’s almost perfect - have owned German stuff in the past and finally got sick and tired of constant issues (mainly bmw) - bought my wife a land cruiser and I got this.
I just bought a 2022 telluride
Rear seat occupant sensors are very sensitive
Leaving the windows partially open will set them off
First Kia, 2021 SX Nightfall
and Prestige package. Love it.
Imo, they're loaded with features but still use less than quality materials as far as the actual hard parts of vehicle. I'd be interested to see if any can go 200k without engine/Trans or other drivetrain issues
They should put the inside birdeyes view camera for moms that would be great! That’s the only thing I wish they would add.
I have a 2022 SX and my only complaint is the new Kia logo is nice but so huge, as if I'm advertising for the company.
So our telly just hit 1k miles and already the engine is overheating.
What can I do
Warranty....
Can you do one about the new Sorento S 2021?
Can do! Stay tuned.
Loud thunk on acceleration? Might be the transmission going from OD to a lower gear. Lock it out of OD when cruising in town.
mark up on this car is crazy! i dunno why people paying aboove msrp
I agree. I was out the door. And Costa Mesa has a waiting list for it with the 7,500-15,000 mark up
Because of the overall vehicle shortage. Wait for inventory to catch up and incentives and rebates will be reinstated
I never will, cars can be shipped for less lol people need to do research
Three reasons: The vehicle is extremely Popular so the demand is high. Secondly there’s an issue with chips that are causing issues with production industry wide. Last, we live in a consumer culture that doesn’t care what they pay
Can’t decide between Telluride and EV6!?
I have a 2021 sx. It’s a great suv but the transmission isn’t great. That and the door panel arm position could use more cushion
Can this vehicle last as long as Honda’s over 200k miles I like this car and I’m not trying to buy a car for another 20 years
My 2022 SX is awesome Dont know why your showing 2020 information that's fixed from the 2022, This is about the 2022 right?
Thank you for the info!
I can't wait to get mine this year
👍😎I can’t believe all the features 😳❤️ im looking at this and the alfa Romeo stelvio 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Just get a SX prestige and loving it
I just have the 2022 telluride and I had a problem with the AC DENSER they said it was puncture with a smal rock.
Maybe I should look at a Sorrento if I don’t want to pay a mark up
Absolutely insane 🤬...bunch of greedy fuks.
I almost bought a Telluride about 3 weeks ago. I was sitting in the finance office and just walked out. The mark up just felt wrong and I couldn't sign the papers.
@@Feminichole I completely understand. I literally got a X5 for half the money. They don’t honor the lease specials on Kia website
There is a class action suit against Kia due to windshields breaking or cracking.
@@Lee62bt tellurides don’t have panoramic sunroofs.
@@hillsturrr yes they do. My wife's has panaramic roof in SX prestige
@@DanDanger514 I’m assuming you’re in the states because we don’t have that level of trim in Canada. They only come with at most, a dual sunroof. I didn’t realize the trims in the use offered a panoramic.
I have a Kia carnival….. LOVE IT!
Hybrid with this engine or a big engine would be nice.
I have a 2021 sx prestige and it’s almost perfect. I’ll trade it in for a hybrid if they come out with one. Thinking about swapping for a sorento until they do because I’ve started driving so much.
Hybrid=double the problems.
@@29Suckit Why do you say that do you own a hybrid are you speaking from experience or is it something you have her?
Exactly what I would expect of the newer model. Yes, it’s disappointing.
Trying to decide about buying the S model, think I am sold on this vehicle!
I love my telly, comfortable AF 😌
Would’ve preferred a more tradition review with you sitting in vehicle and demonstrating how everything functions
There are a ton of those videos out there
I hope you will be able to buy the new model in Australia this time
i have a telluride and i love it
Needs split exhaust pipes.
One thing to know: You ain't touching one for anything close to MSRP and can expect to spend at least $5K or more over MSRP unless you can wait for a custom ordered Telluride.
In my area, it’s like $10-12K over MSRP 😭
I ordered my 22 from Hendrick Kia of Cary NC for msrp. They do not mark up !
They need to extend the vehicle at least 3 inches in length, and give 3rd row passenger more room.
Kia needs to put the Stinger GT2 motor in the Telluride!
I doubt the Stinger motor gets anywhere close to 31mpg I get with the 3.8 in my Telluride. You want to race, stick with the Stinger.
People, this is a KIA. It was just a few short years ago that this stuff was crap. The big question is what will be the resale value in the next 36 months?
I like the palisade better then the telluride because it’s way more luxurious
Are these actual complaints because I haven't had any of these issues I feel like someone is pretending to do a review just to talk shit
Yes I have the everlasting silver &
Love it.
I love it !!!
I am now enjoying the V8 in my new Lexus SUV and I can now see the road at night also.
most kia buyers are first time kia owners. as previous kia buyers no better and do not want to be burned twice. kia engines are known to go bad from 30,000 miles to 130,000. they can blow the engines or have the famous oil consumption troubles where they burn one quart of oil per 1,000 miles or less. the worst part is that kia will sometimes find a way to not honor their warranties. they have gone as far as saying its normal for a car to burn a quart of oil every 1,000 miles so they wont have to fix it.
also a 6k markup
Dude I just want to know what's new for 2022.
And that is covered in this video along with lots of other pertinent and important information. If you want to only know what's new for 2022, feel free to use Google.
Anyone know of any dealerships in Northern IL that isn’t marking up on a ‘22 S model?
No 3rd row lights for kids when it's dark. Kinda shitty for 50k. Everything else is nice but overlooked small things
This comment is to boost my digital buddy, Al Go-Rhythm!
Heating issues on a 1-year-old vehicle think go pass..
Got told 54k for a ex model. Picked up a GX460 for 56k. Sorry Kia I will not pay Lexus prices for Kia
I own 2021 Kia telluride SX nightfall edition cost me $65,000 but this car is so disappointments and Nashua Kia dealership wreck my car they do not change my oil and told me they change the oil all in all Nashua Kia dealership and service departments are cheater and they racked my car
Majestic
I went to buy the 2023 kia telluride and the tv om the back of the seat was a big turn off for me,thats old fashion, who wants car with tv, not even the kids are intrested in that anymore, please tell kia to get rid of the tv on the back of the seat
We love ours
