This whole plot point is fascinating.. you almost wish things dont keep going so sideways in this show so you can kinda float in moments like this more..
Had she just worked out some kind of visitation with him, like “hey on weekends I’ll let you take Ryan for a few hours to a burger king or Vaught land” dude probably wouldn’t have just taken him immediately after this scene with stormfront.

I honestly didn't care for her character. She didn't give a shit about Butcher even after so much time apart. She has no personality other than the fact she would never shut tf about Ryan. I swear, Ryan comprised like 95% of all her dialogue
Edit: some people seem to misunderstand the point of my comment. I don't dislike Becca's character because she cares about her kid or because I'm some woman-hater. I dislike her because she's a bland one-note character that is solely defined by how much she talks about Ryan (she doesn't even necessarily make the right choices for him, she just always talks about him). If you think a woman is entirely defined by their relationship to her child, then I'm afraid to say that you might be the sexist one, not me. There is a clear difference between a character showing love for their child and a character being defined by their child. This should be painfully obvious but I guess some people in the comments needed clarifying.

What if Becca wasn't raped, but she just reluctantly followed a secret plan from Vought to turn Homelander on until she could bear his child who could have weakened or supplanted him by any means necessary? Vought would have covered that in secret very well, right?

Still think it’s funny that she loves her “rapist’s” child. It would’ve been better if she cheated on Butcher with Homelander. That makes better sense of her disappearance and reluctance to run away with Butcher.
have you seen the show or are you just watching shorts? because it is very much explained why she left... and as for the boy, #1 she had to birth him, it was too late for him to be aborted, #2 she didn't want Ryan to end in vought and become homelander 2, so of cpurse she'd care for him, and #3 she spent like 12 years with Ryan of course she's gonna end up loving the boy she raised even if that kid is the result of a rape, like, he isn't a carbon copy of homelander, and while it is true that Ryan will forever be a reminder of that horrible and traumatic experience, after all that time he became more her son than homelander's...
A lot of women end up raising their rapisit's children. The child is innocent and half of us too. Some women can get past it. Women in DV cases of matrial rape do it all the time.
