Giancarlo and Charles Dance have both mastered the "incredibly competent but evil boss that is disgusted by his subordinates' incompetence" voice.
I kinda feel bad he's only ever allowed to play thr same character in every show and movie he's in. But God if he doesn't play that same character perfect every time.
Literally what carried me through far cry 6. Did not enjoy that game at all but all of his scenes were great purely because of him. I was worried for his health because I thought his back would break from carrying that game so hard.

@@DistrictIvory if you think playing the same character type repeatedly is a problem, you need to learn the word "niche" and need to see why for some actors that's a good thing, Jim Carrey, Vin Diesel, the fucking Rock, these people made/make major bank, NY knowing their niche and fitting into VERY nicely, plus G.E. doesn't do niche, he likes stepping out of these roles like one of his more current scenes in the boys (this passed season, season 4) he shows SO MUCH emotion, for both his surrogate daughter Victoria, and his surrogate granddaughter Zoe, my point is that he isn't always playing the "emotionless businessman" people claim he is
Homelander can hear how fast peoples hearts are going so he knows Stan doesn't fear him at all

Stan is the head of the company if he desired he could probably become the strongest supe in history he has the means but he is simply fine being human because V is a product and JUST THAT TO HIM. Homelander can hear heartbeats, which means he knows that Gustavo is really angry at him for giving away the special chicken sauce and Gustavo views him as an uncautious man now.
It's not that he cares about Edgar being mad or not, its the fact that he cant sense any trace of fear in Edgar that makes him so scared of him.
For someone that is the closest thing to a God, sociopath and manchildish included, that is scary in itself.

Without the experiments done: thats all homelander would be. He still is but there are more strings holding a cape together than not.
I love this guy's acting. Despite Fring and Edgar being so similar in nature, they're still distinct. Fring acts friendly, but when he reveals his true nature it's coldly aggressive; you get the sense he's unhinged underneath, like murderer just barely being restrained with a cold exterior. With Stan Edgar, he NEVER lets that cold front drop. He's always polite, and you don't really have that same kinda fire behind his eyes that Gustavo Fring had. However, instead of fire you have pure, unfeeling, calculating ice. The dude almost feels robotic with how calm and collected every single one of his replies to Homelander were. Fring felt like there was hatred inside of him, Edgar felt like he was just reading numbers and making the best plays; Gustavo made it personal, despite claims, while Edgar truly kept it 100% business.
Ironically... The meth selling, murderous drug kingpin feels more human than a CEO of a pharmaceutical company.
