I’m so happy I came back to RUclips several times to research a bit more and found this gem. It is the most comprehensive and clear video I have come across and I am about to try it out now….wish me luck!! 🎉
Using peel and stick wallpaper on a textured wall. That was the best video I've ever watched it tells you down to the wire why you cannot, Cannot, Cannot!!!! ever use this wallpaper on a texture wall. Please listen to him!!!!!
Hi thanks for the video. What about semi gloss walls? My walls were painted about 3 years ago and I figured I needed to paint them with primer before applying the peel and stick wall paper. Can you tell me if that would be necessary or just some light sanding?
I have yet to actually install any peel and stick wallpaper (hence the reason I’m watching this video) but I am a professional painter and my instinct would be that the wallpaper would stick better to a semi gloss then to a flat paint/primer. Imagine sticking tape on a piece of glass versus a piece of wood, it’s going to stick a lot better to the glass. If it was traditional wallpaper using adhesive glue I’d feel the opposite, you’d want a less smooth surface.
What do you do if your apartment sucks and your corners aren't plumb? If I were to cut the wallpaper in a straight line there would be a gap cos my wall edges are not straight...
I love the video...Although I don't see a problem with this self sticking wall paper coming loose, can wallpaper adhesive be used on self stick paper if wanted? Thanks.
I have installed a lot of wallpaper and I can tell you that you do need several helpers. As you seen in this video the wallpaper will stretch out of proportion and it will not align properly. The wrinkle that he had in this video was not corrected and the camera veered away from it, but believe me, the wrinkle will rip if you pass too many times over it trying to remove it. Also, the wallpaper can stretch just peeling the backing off of it... not a good product. I would not recommend this peel and stick to anyone.
I know it’s counter intuitive. I learned from a different video they start in the middle because they need a straight level line and wall corners are rarely as straight and level as they need to be to start the wallpaper on.
Walls are not as straight as it seems. I do start from the middle if it's a huge wall. Lot's of measuring but it's worth it. As most interior films are horizontally 120cm .
beautiful paper indeed ,but you misleading people.i am a professional paper hanger for the last 30 ys in Houston Tx and i do not recommend "overlapping ". seams should be butted tightly together and smoothed down with a seam roller." is ok" if you do-it yourself or you the owner of the office, building etc.but overlapping is out of the question. On the other hand your wall should have sealer or primer, prep the walls is very important than just to " clean up " good luck
This wallpaper is made to be overlaped. The design won’t fit if you butt the joint. And it’s not made to be double cut. It stretches when you pull it to take the under part and it doesn’t fit anymore when you put it back.
40 years of experience here, from Las Vegas. Peel and stick is totally different from regular wallpaper, or commercial vinyl Peel and stick is made to be overlap up to 1/4 inch, do not attempt to overlap and double cut or butt the edges together, with time they will come apart because of cold weather/hot weather, expansion/contraction. Peel and stick is supposed to be installed on top of semi gloss paint, do not attempt to install on top of flat paint, it won't stick. Paint needs to be cured, the longer the better, in case you need to remove it to reposition it. One last thing, always read the instructions, sometimes they are half right. Lol
If you dont happen to have a straight edge, could you get by with using a gay edge as long as you were able to prevent sassy distractions? I'm all for making the most of the tools I have, but I dont want have to hear "Nuh-uh bishh that aint on there right, can you just CALL Lowes and make them do it because this is literally the worst , like..if it looks like this when its done im not gonna WANT to be mad but im prolly gonna be mad JUST SAYIN."

This is far and away the best wallpaper application video I’ve ever seen. I’m shocked that it isn’t the first one to come up in the RUclips search.

Can’t see the ratios anymore
I’m amazed by the quality of your content, wow!
This is an incredibly thorough video. Thanks for explaining
Now that's a helper!!!!
Great video. We are looking to do peel and stick wall paper over slightly textured paint. What do you think? Will it work?
Beautiful. Excellent instructions. Thank you!

Absolutely best presentation & good job done by this gentleman
Can I use this in my bathroom, I hate the idea of paste and wallpaper
Simply wow! What brand of wallpaper did you use? Thank You!
Hi we are from Costa Rica What brand you recommend o what vinyl do use for this video?
Great tips .! This will be very helpful.
Where can I buy this wallpaper … please link me!
Nice video from both of you 😀
Do you always start in the middle even if it isn’t a mural?
I put mine up and woke this morning to it peeling down 🤦🏻♂️ can I use a sealer over it to prevent this ?
What peel and stick brand is that? Link?
Does the first panel have to be nice and plumb?
What company did you buy the wallpaper from?
I want to wallpaper a walk in closet that has pressboard walls. Will peel and stick wallpaper stick to that?
What do you do if your apartment sucks and your corners aren't plumb? If I were to cut the wallpaper in a straight line there would be a gap cos my wall edges are not straight...
Try starting from the ceiling in the middle of the wall and then work out... Then the lengths of the paper are straight even if your wall edges arent.
does all this peel/stick paper overlap a little?
Check out double cut to avoid overlap
very helpful
Great work. Where did you get this nice wallpaper..🤓
Were can I purchase this wall art please
beautiful.good job.
What about sizing the wall?
I love the video...Although I don't see a problem with this self sticking wall paper coming loose, can wallpaper adhesive be used on self stick paper if wanted? Thanks.
Thank you for video
Excellent!
I think using presicion knife would be better
This is a very good video! You guys make it so easy. Can't wait to try this! 🥰

Using peel and stick wallpaper on a textured wall
Your friend is cute 😍nice job love the pattern 👍
I don't get the middle out
What is it the helper phone number?😏
This the brother in law from ozark??
Why not start at the left hand side?.
Madness starting at the middle.
I think because you need it to be plum and not all wall edges are.. so you go based off an even line in the center
If your left wall isn’t straight, then everything will be out. Also, for murals, you want to make sure the pattern is centred on the wall.
Dont trust to start in middle,
I know it’s counter intuitive. I learned from a different video they start in the middle because they need a straight level line and wall corners are rarely as straight and level as they need to be to start the wallpaper on.
@@frankzbeanz4200 I get that but that's stressful, measuring it,

yes very different...
Horrible camera angle 🤮🤮🤮 can't see the wall work but the guys hand who is doing it👎👎👎👎
Peel and stick is garbage, get traditional wallpaper. I've been in the biz for 30 plus years.

The video cameraman here is the worst he example for not doing properly the job. Period!
Thanks, but learn to apply audio ducking in your vid.
