Operative word “public” but, she was going to jail for interfering as well as being intoxicated on someone else’s property (neighbouring property was that grass verge i.e. “public”, not her own private property). The officers aren’t obligated to repeat themselves ten times when inebriated suspects keep returning to interfere after being told repeatedly to go inside. It’s clear as day she wasn’t cooperating.

At 12:40 the female officer told the girl that she's going to jail for public intoxication. The girl WAS AT HOME! I'm a former deputy sheriff in NC. I think arresting that girl for PI is crazy and an attorney, even if a bad attorney, will get it dismissed.

I've yet to see a stop resisting command that wasn't truthful. When the police say don't resist, they mean what they say. Don't resist and comply with police orders or face the consequences!
