Better than most videos but could be more specific: On the left side only: The first set of 20A are actually "Thinline" which are half frames (bad idea) and the first pair of 25A are tandem (two breakers in one frame). The nice thing about tandem breakers is that they're available in identical or different breaker sizes within the same frame and they have arc chutes and snap action controls for each breaker. 1/2 frames are just a bad idea... 1. Very hard to find. 2. Prohibitively expensive. 3. Often missing arc chutes.
Is there a way to put a 20 amp circuit in place of a split set of 10 amp breakers. I want to run an entirely new wire to my kitchen and put the fridge on the new 20 amp breaker, there is a open spot, but it's for the split breaker. The box is a g.e. box.
I'm confused. I have a Murray 200 Amp panel, 40 ckts. On the label on the door, I do not see any indications of where twin breakers can be used. Yet I purchased a Murray twin breaker from Lowes, and it fit in with no issue, 5th position from the top. Is this ok?
Thanks for the video I tried to install one on and it would not go on. now I know why thanks I tried to installed it on the top of the panel now I will try to do it on the lower side I noticed the bottom in a little different then the top

Great information ℹ️ also I’ve seen people try to modify a tandem btraker that won’t fit. Great video 👍😉

Does GE make tandem breakers?
Can I use a thin 2pole 50amp breaker for my 240volt welder? There’s just one empty spot left on my breaker panel.
Thanks for the information.
How do we know a tandem breaker is tripped? And how do I reset it?
same way as any other breaker, it moves to the off position, just push it back to on...

still i would not load a full panel with them
That doesn't not answer why you would use an tandem breaker.
Absolutely horrible
