A futuristic, but still heavy, muscular sounding synthesized sound would be great.
Just try to recollect some badass mecha robot sounds from films to get what i'm saying.
We may not have engine sounds. But we are most likely going to have straight cut gear on EVs. Straight Cut Gears already sound badass on race cars.
Meanwhile all we really want is an NA 426 and the Hellephant in production vehicles. That way you can change the motto too "Customers made us do it"
426 was just a 392 with a 4" crank, probably made a little over 500hp. It was cancelled a couple years ago. The supercharged 426 is a crate engine and would never pass certification for new car use.
It will never comply with emissions regulations. When you buy a hellephant crate engine it literally tells you that it's for offroad use only because the engine isn't road legal. Trust me, I want a big block V8 too, but it's not happening.
@@gasolinediesel972 Just fyi its not a big block, just a big inch gen 3 hemi
@@MaliciousSRT Debatable. Anything over 400 cubic inches is (usually) considered a big block. The 426 is, well, 426 cubic inches. It's actually a combination of the 6.2l HO hemi and the 5.8l race hemi. The original gen 3 426 was basically a glorified 392. The hellephant has a larger bore and stroke than the hellcat and other gen 3 hemi's which makes it a big block.
@@gasolinediesel972 No its not debateable, manufacturer block size dictates if its a big block or not, not cubic inches. Gen 2 426 was based off a 426 wedge big block. Hellphant crate motor is based off a 3rd gen hemi, the only thing similar is the cubic inches. Whether its a 5.7 from a ram or a 7.0L hellephant its just a gen 3 hemi. @@thelamboman4085
Plastic isn't exclusive to electric cars. Factories exist for gas cars. Also consider looking into the environmental impact of gasoline production, instead of only considering direct emissions from the tailpipe. Extracting and then refining oil is complicated process with nearly every step of the way polluting at a large scale. Everyone wants to go into the specifics of how batteries are made, but never stop to think about how we get gasoline.
EVs will kill the musclecar. What makes a muscle car so great is the sound and feel of it, something you don't get with EVs. You can't fake it. Only true petrol heads know what i mean.
Somebody gets it. Like dodge themselves said, muscle cars are about the experience. An experience only a high powered v8 will give you. It's about character. Those cars have a soul. Electric cars don't have any of that. Electric cars don't have character, they have no soul. They're lifeless.
When your fastest muscle car is getting smoked by the competition, you have to adapt. I'll take performance over noises. They can fake engine noises if they want to.
@@aaronsmith2517 Tesla Model 3 can already beat a C8 Vette 0-60 and quarter mile. The point Curtis is making is there is a huge difference in driving experience between an electric vehicle and a gas powered vehicle. I’ve driven a Tesla model 3 and a Challenger. The Tesla is fast, very fast. But it’s boring. There are no gears to shift. No RPMs. Forget about spinning the tires on an EV (interested what Dodge is working on as promo shows tires smoking on an EV). It’s a totally different experience. I’d take an EV as my daily driver but want a gas powered Challenger as my fun, driver’s vehicle. Absolutely no comparison in the experience.
@David Chavez We're not running out of oil, we'll be fine for oil for another million years.

They should take a stock hellcat and just add a battery and a electric motor to the front to give a AWD type drive train and a RWD hellcat when you want
