VieViaPaVria, yes but Lordi was already famous before the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, Salvador Sobral wasn't famous before the show, so i don't think so
Wow, Great Idea for a video. I want more of this! 1. Unfortunatelly, jazz used to be a bit forgetable genre in the contest, when competing with lotta Swedish-esque commercial-radio-friendly-pop, and considered an elitist kind of music by Eurofans, until the 2010's. Thanks Italy and Portugal! 2. Nice to see one of my favorites (and underrated), Haute in Jerusalem, listed in the video. 3. You also forgot Poland's Blue Café: the band has Latin jazz influences. 4. It's confirmed "Amar pelos dois" will be the opening theme for an upcoming Brazilian soap opera in September.
In the Jazz genre, Boggie (Hungary 2015) could have been added in this video, as she is also an artist in this genre who performs in many jazz festivals
muchas bendiciones para Eurovicion es un Super video de la historia musical de Europa saludos a todos los países De Europa son bellísimas países desde Sud américa Ecuador Quito para Eurovicion con mucho cariño
Roger Cicero will always be my fave jazz entry ever, we lost a great singer with his death. RIP Roger, you will never be forgotten. Will this be the revolution for jazz? Nah, I don't think so, ESC is still a predominantly a pop festival. But I can see more jazz entries in 2018 cuz of it (as much as rock was in 2007 and on).
You forgot to mention "Three minutes to earth" sang by Mariko and The Shin (Georgia 2014), which is a wonderful mix of many styles, including jazz (bass lines are real jazz-rock). Not many people would notice this.
Ballads and power anthems (power in music ánd message). Also lovies for all songs which are not in English sung (Salvador, Jamala, Zoë, the woman who sung On:ie Harel Skaat,... )
Balkan ballads deserve their own video, also folk, rock, alternative. There are great suggestions in the comments, looking forward and can't wait for the next video!
Matthew ESC That term applies to absolutely anything that is meaningless, so I don't think a video talking about that is possible. That is, unless, you have a specific genre in mind which equates to "fast food music".
hopefully you'll do FOLK next! That featured/s heavily in Eurovision since the day it began! Not sure if jazz will have an enormous Eurovision revolution tho. It's a very broad genre, but some of it is only for the happy few that enjoy it ;)
Sean Bragg Serbia "Oro" , Nije Ljubav Tsvar, Montenegro's Adio... Croatia's Mizerja would qualify too... Horehronie, and then there's Ireland multiple entries!! Plenty of Folk to come by 😉
Abdullah Akyıldız aynen kardesim bilerek yaptim 13 Çarım vardı hepsindende like atim başta görünsun millet görsün diye like atarmsn kardeşim bu arada aboneyim sana
What About Anna Maria Jopek who represented Poland in 1997? She's a great jazz singer and 'Ale jestem' may not be 100% jazz, but it has clear jazz vibes.
My favorite jazz influenced ESC songs that you mentioned in the video are Italy 2011, Hungary 2007, Lithuania 2007 and Bulgaria 2005 but you forgot Iceland & Switzerland 2011 which are also great jazzy entries!
Oh no... personally never been a fan of jazz, so most likely will half of Europe send jazz songs next... Damn it! Hopefully that won't happen, since that was also the trend back in 2007, when Finland won with a rock song, the year before
so basically, the all the jazz songs of more than 50 years of eurovision can be summed up in a 5 min video? not a good record , if you ask me. Hope we see real diversity , these last 2 years seem to be changing the contest for better.
Portugal 2017 Denmark 1963 Sweden 1963 Norway 1960 Yugoslavia 1961 Sweden 1966 Austria 1979 Switzerland 1992 Austria 1995 Iceland 1996 21. Bulgaria - Eurovision 2005 04. Moldova - Eurovision 2008 08. We hope you liked our first part of Eurovision genres! Which genres do you want us to cover? Let us know!
Do ROCK!!!
Eurovision Song Contest i like Eurovision so much!
Jazz Greece 1978?
Do please Organic Trance by Bulgaria 2007, it was the only one till now.
TheGoaBase what about 2013 Bulgaria?
Gabriela Piechowicz that's not jazz.
If San Marino participates next year, they should let Valentina sing a jazz song of her style and not another song written by Siegel -_-
Jesper Hjellnes Or she should sing a modern song. (Deep House, Dubstep)
AleKay333777 no, her voice is better with jazz /swing style
fantastic that we give her presence for granted 😂
Jesper Hjellnes If San Marino decides to take part of the contest next year... it would be nice. Her jazz rendition of Crisalide is terrific!
Jesper Hjellnes yeh that would be preaty great
Very nice idea for a video guys. I love Jazz. I wish it was more popular. My faves are Turkey 1992, Hungary 2007 and Portugal 2017 of course
"Will this victory be the revolution for jazz in this contest?"
I think we can all agree that it was a one time thing.
So no. Probably not.
AzraJay Well, I'd say it might. Finland's Hard Rock win in 2006 inspired a notable rock revolution the years after.
VieViaPaVria, yes but Lordi was already famous before the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, Salvador Sobral wasn't famous before the show, so i don't think so
Raphael Gualazzi and Madness of love above all.
nikyfe87 agree
nikyfe87 yep
Madness of love and Rafael's performance was a master of class. Brilliant
Thanks Italy and Portugal!

omg Martina must be happy to be in the same video as Salvador, Czsch republic 2017 best song of all time
We need more jazz at Eurovision!
Valentina is everywhere in Eurovision.
Madness of love 💕
Portugal's jury gave Czech Republic 12p! They sure love jazz then ;D
The Portuguese jury gave 12 points to Azerbaijan (they didn't give any point to the Czec Republic), but it's true that Portugal has a good jazz scene.
Elsa Pereira I am referring to the first semi-final!
Ah, ok. I didn't know that. It was deserved, though. Martina was good and deserved to qualify
They deserved final this year
In the Jazz genre, Boggie (Hungary 2015) could have been added in this video, as she is also an artist in this genre who performs in many jazz festivals
ITALY 2011 😍😍😍 my favorite
Raphael 😍😍
I WANT EUROVISION 2018 NOW!!!! 😩😩😩
Me too!
269 days for the first semifinal :'(
I hope more countries will send jazz songs!!

🇵🇹
Italy 2011 😍 A REAL MASTERPIECE. One of the best ESC songs ever
Mine is Portugal this year
Madness of Love is a masterpiece!
muchas bendiciones para Eurovicion es un Super video de la historia musical de Europa saludos a todos los países De Europa son bellísimas países desde Sud américa Ecuador Quito para Eurovicion con mucho cariño
This new video format is fantastic ! Keep up the good work !
Ah, yes! I love Madness of Love, Amar Pelos Dois, Unsubstantial Blues and My Turn. Fantastic songs.
So proud that my country has been represented by Raphael Gualazzi :)

It's true ahaha
😂
Martina Bárta! 💖💖💖
I love jazz! Hopefully more jazz entries next year
Roger Cicero will always be my fave jazz entry ever, we lost a great singer with his death. RIP Roger, you will never be forgotten.

Please do ROCK!!!!
GD JuryJohn hard rock hallelujah!
Kristian Berget HELL YEAH!!!
Also...
Turkey 2008, Turkey 2010, Turkey 2011, Slovakia 2012, FYR Macedonia 2012, Georgia 2016, Cyprus 2016, Montenegro 2016, The Netherlands 2016, Ukraine 2017, Iceland 2007, Switzerland 2005, Finland 2007, and so on...
AMAZING SONGS!!!!!
> Spirit Of The Night
> Jazz
....
Lemmy Valentina Monetta has a jazz background. Spirit of the Night doesn't.
If Spirit of the night is Jazz than Nicki Minaj is an opera singer
Lemmy that's not jazz dude
If spirit of the night is Jazz then Cupcakke is a Christian saint.
Moldova, Portugal and Czech Republic had the best jazz entries.
I hope that Valentina Monetta will represent San Marino for the fifth time, and sing a song in the jazz genre... That's her comfort zone!!
I agree, she should ditch Ralph Siegel and she'd do a lot better.
Raphel Gualazzi From Italy in 2011 is the best of Jazz in History of Eurovision!!!
Hungary and my favourite ever and forever: Amar pelos Dois, from Salvador Sobral!
Ballads and power anthems (power in music ánd message).
Also lovies for all songs which are not in English sung (Salvador, Jamala, Zoë, the woman who sung On:ie Harel Skaat,... )
so many songs that i love in this segment
Balkan ballads deserve their own video, also folk, rock, alternative. There are great suggestions in the comments, looking forward and can't wait for the next video!
Proud of Raphael!
Nishville jazz festivan in Nis, Serbia has just finnished!
I honestly love Moldova 2008 and still listen to it.
Isn't Sentiments Songes by Fanny (France 1997) jazz? That could be in this video too.
Either Dansevise or Amar Pelos Dios or Italy 2011 are my faves
I ♥️ the new section about Eurovision Genres. What will be the next genre?
Princess Lianey I bet folk genre
+Andrew Weekis good guess! Which other genres should we cover?
Eurovision Song Contest rock! it's too little rock songs at Eurovision...
Eurovision Song Contest Experimental music and disco, maybe
Country would have many Dutch entries in it lol especially the common linnets and douwe bob
Err, Love In Rewind - 2011, does it count as jazz?
My favourite was definitely Still In Love with You by Electro Velvet!
Denmark 1963
Martina Barta is so talented though. These jazz vibes are amazing.
Czech Republic 🌍🇨🇿🌍
italy 2012! 😍
Georgia 2014
I Love Rock and Roll that's not jazz at all.
GD JuryJohn its jazz fusion
I Love Rock and Roll yes! They always leave out Georgia
My favourite is either Madness of Love or Amar Pelos Dois. Can't be sure which one I like more.
Roger Cicero with "Frauen regieren die Welt" is the best-ever jazz entry. Please cover chanson and Schlager genres soon - thanks!
Genres At Eurovision Part 2: Fast Food Music
Matthew ESC That term applies to absolutely anything that is meaningless, so I don't think a video talking about that is possible. That is, unless, you have a specific genre in mind which equates to "fast food music".
Matthew ESC Pelos amor duos is elevator music
Matthew ESC thats 99% of songs since 2000. I wish for Balkan ballads. Or Abbayish songs
Ceferin Kanali *Amar pelos dois
Margarida Ferreira Regrettably, he doesn't give a damn about the song. It's pointless to correct him.
hopefully you'll do FOLK next! That featured/s heavily in Eurovision since the day it began!
Not sure if jazz will have an enormous Eurovision revolution tho. It's a very broad genre, but some of it is only for the happy few that enjoy it ;)
I can't remember that many folk songs. There was Belarus 2017 and Finland 2010, but what other ones were there?
Sean Bragg Serbia "Oro" , Nije Ljubav Tsvar, Montenegro's Adio... Croatia's Mizerja would qualify too... Horehronie, and then there's Ireland multiple entries!! Plenty of Folk to come by 😉
Sean Bragg Sean Bragg from Portugal 🇵🇹:
1976
1996
1997
2009
And 2012

Abdullah Akyıldız aynen kardesim bilerek yaptim 13 Çarım vardı hepsindende like atim başta görünsun millet görsün diye like atarmsn kardeşim bu arada aboneyim sana
Dude, Turkey isn't returning. Your government ruled out returning a couple of days ago.
Crowsrevenge I want to join eurovision. 😔😔 I love turkey,Do you like Turkey?
keşke katılabilsek azerbeycan bile her yarışmada nerdeyse ilk beşe girerken biz katılamıyoruz çok üzücü gerçekten :(
Actually, Martina was incredibly amazing this year... Feel so sorry for her to not qualify :(
Turkey's song in 1992 was "Yaz Bitti", not "Jazz Bitti"!
😂 true
Love Austria 1979 and Moldova 2008
I really want Valentina to come to Eurovision next year with a fun Jazz song!!!
Maxxy Rainbow or swing
Portugal was a deserved winner but I like Martina Barta as a performer...
Portugal 2017
Hungary 2007 and of Course Portugal :)
Nice! Thanks! Isn't Belgium 2011 (With Love Baby) pretty much jazz?
Italy 2011 and Portugal 2017
God dammit, I'm having Salvartina flashbacks again
What About Anna Maria Jopek who represented Poland in 1997? She's a great jazz singer and 'Ale jestem' may not be 100% jazz, but it has clear jazz vibes.
Unsubstantial blues❤
Goodness who's making those videos?! Where is Greece 1978?
My fav is Lithuania 2007!
TheGoaBase Eurovision is making these videos.
the person i mean, how old are you 5?
TheGoaBase nope, not even close.
If they are going to put every single entry with jazz influences and describe each of them here, I think this video might take forever to finish!
My favourite is Madness of love
EN GANG I STOCKHOLM IS AN BEAUTIFUL SONG, who agrees?
NasakoMarin me
NasakoMarin Yes, for me is one of the best songs ❤
+Karl Eduard very nice to hear that.
I love monica Zetterlund, so yeah
+Amaretto Punsch Same.
My favorite jazz influenced ESC songs that you mentioned in the video are Italy 2011, Hungary 2007, Lithuania 2007 and Bulgaria 2005 but you forgot Iceland & Switzerland 2011 which are also great jazzy entries!
Andrea Bishop and Lithuania 2011!!!!
Italy 2011
What about the Freddy Quinns's entry for Germany in 1956? So geht das jede Nacht
2007 has the best entries, so much variety..
Oh no... personally never been a fan of jazz, so most likely will half of Europe send jazz songs next... Damn it!
Hopefully that won't happen, since that was also the trend back in 2007, when Finland won with a rock song, the year before
Roger Cicero. I love him. I still couldn't accept his death T_T
GERMANY 💖💖💖
You forgot Rona Nishliu (Albania 2012), She is a jazz musician!
Martina Barta from Czech Republic
so basically, the all the jazz songs of more than 50 years of eurovision can be summed up in a 5 min video? not a good record , if you ask me. Hope we see real diversity , these last 2 years seem to be changing the contest for better.
0:31 DENMARK
Where is Malta 1993 with "This time"???
Love Bulgaria 2005, Lithuania and Hungary 2007
Never knew ValMon was a jazz singer until very recently.
Germany 2007 is so underrated
No mention of Poland 1997? Fusion jazz waltz. Too good for Eurovision.
R.I.P. Roger Cicero by the way.
Can't wait for the next genre: Fast Food!

Hi
Hello (Azerbaijan) Vidio super
