Was listening to the Kenny Loggins original today (love it), but it always reminds me that I need to go find the CMA Christmas Jennifer Nettles version, as she absolutely kills it!!! It's obvious that she has rehearsed this song and perfected it with a great combination of controlled vocals and a whole lotta heart. I'll bet some people in Douglas, GA now hold this song sacred and I'd speculate that Jennifer may even hum the tune, whenever she has a chance to travel back there for the holidays.
