I wasn't attached to Penny...and then when she finally grew on me, they went and killed her. Again. 😞 Did I expect it? Yeah. Did it still gut me? Absolutely. My girl didn't even get a chance to enjoy human stuff like food and Pietro didn't have anything left of her. No machine cores, not even her human body to bury. :(((
I'm pretty sure her Penny's body was where it was left when winter got the maiden powers, so it likely fell and ended up where Ruby and the others are.

We nearly lost her, and then brought her back as a human, just for her to die for good. And this time Pietro can't rebuild her like he did last time cause 1) his aura is running low and 2) Penny's core is no more since she bacame human, so her memories are also gone 😢

I started watching Rwby before Volume 7 was out and Penny was the reason why I continued. Now that 8 has been out for a while now, it feels like she deserves so much more. Her end wasn’t the greatest.
Penny was my favorite robot girl since Jenny or XJ9 from My Life As A Teenage Robot. Seeing this brings up a lot of feelings and I will miss Penny. She will be avenged. Ruby will kick Cinder's butt.

I have heard everyone say that she had to die So that Ruby could unlock the power of her silver eyes which in my opinion as a stupid ass and dumb as fuck writing choice all so they can give one character a lame ass bland superpower I honestly would’ve preferred it if pyrrha had lived and Penny stayed dead. Pyrrha High potential for so much more character development and so much more growth in the series than a dumb little android

I was wondering about the staff of creation loophole. So the robot gets remade but without Pennys’ Aura inside. Since I’m guessing the genie can’t kill anybody the body that is the result from separating her aura from the machine is not technically part of the request, so even though it was created, it is essentially just a byproduct but it’s exactly what RWBY wants to make in order to save Penny, her human form. A little convoluted but I’m willing to accept it. This guy is the blue fairy from Pinocchio, right?
