(from "Arthur") were males, even though the character is a little girl. Bart Simpson ("The Simpsons"), a boy, has been voiced by a female all these years. (I forget her name.)
As an adult Canadace had moved on but she sort of reverte$ to her old habits seeing her younger brothers travel in the future. Plus later on it shows she busts tries to bust her brothers because she feels she’s always in their shadow. By busting them she feels she can bring them down and accomplish something as well. Because without that she feels like she will amount to something. Plus there is other development of character along the way.
I think the reason future Candace moved on was cause her kids weren’t doing anything and if she had return home before she started time traveling she would have punished them and scolded her daughter for doing a dangerous thing.

Horrid Henry’s parents. you know when other characters are regularly compared to the Puppington parents they’re horrible. They hold almost no love for Henry. He once said good morning and his mom said “don’t be horrid, Henry” (note that is her catchphrase) both the mom and dad blatantly favor their younger son Perfect Peter over him. And I’m talking about the cartoon where honestly Henry isn’t even that “horrid” he’s a bit of a little shit in the books but that still isn’t reason for his parents to treat him the way they do
What’s interesting about PBS is even though they’ll never admit when they make them for obvious reasons, they LEARN from their mistakes. You can’t find a single younger sibling character on a new PBS Kids show who’s as bratty as DW (in fact, most of the time, the younger one’s the sweet one now). Likewise, Caillou-types are non-existent now and the adults are basically expected to be competent. Also, they do give Candace a movie later on that creates a very logical basis for Candice wanting to bust her brothers, she doesn’t think she’s special the way they are and in a desperate attempt to gain any attention from her parents, devotes her life’s work to trying to get her brothers punished. It’s twisted, but she does eventually figure it out by the finale and/or Disney+ movie.
Candace wanting to get her brothers busted out of jealousy actually makes her worse. It’s incredibly disrespectful and selfish. Besides, I happen to know a certain other Disney character who was jealous of his brother, and said jealousy drove him to murder: Scar.

The reason Candance feels the need to bust her brothers so much is because her mother never believes her, and then ends up thinking her daughters crazy. She just wants to be validated, atleast once, by her mother that she was right. Alot of kids will do crazy things for their parent's validation. At least in Candace’s case her brothers are actively doing dangerous stuff all the time and the 2 of them really shouldn’t be doing all the stuff they do. Specially since most of the time it’s actually Perry or Doof who manage to clean their projects up before anything happens. Of course, they’re really smart, but even so. They’re children, there’s a reason every delivery man asks if they’re old enough to be doing the things they’re doing but couldn’t care enough to at least ask their parents if this is ok. Also, the moments where she’s actually a great big sister to her brothers redeems her imo.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Elmyra Duff from Tiny Toons! I haven't watched much of the original show, but I do know that she constantly forced unwanted affection onto the main cast, as well all of her other pets! And in the one episdoe of the reboot she appeared in, she forced Babs (and the rest of the crew near the end of the episode) to stay in the studio and take photos. And after keeping her there for HOURS, she took the memory card (or something) out of the camera, which forced Babs to stay there for even longer! She also appeared in one episode of the original Animaniacs, but I don't know enough about that episode to say anything. -And we're just not gonna talk about Pinky, Elmyra, and The Brain. We're not.-
For Candace, she does have some redeeming qualities. In some Phineas and Ferb episodes, as well as the specials, she puts aside busting her brothers to help them out with whatever problem they might be facing. Heck, in Candace Against the Universe (The Disney+ special), even after all of the wacky inventions Phineas, Ferb, and Dr. Doofenshmirtz made, she doesn’t even say a WORD to her mom!
That’s really the only thing watched of Caillou, other than that I don’t think I watched any episodes of that show. I only read the books and that’s it.

Yes Kaiba in the 4Kids dub is arrogant and just goes full ego. at least in the sub he has his reasons which literally makes him and yugi 2 sides of the same coin. meanwhile in episode 1 hell even season 0 kaiba was the antagonist at the end, so when duel monsters rolled out it started at the end of season 0 and was full switched around as in season 0 yami outright killed kaiba (IIRC) while season 1 he simply sealed away the evil within him, so while Kaiba may be arrogant and egotistical he's literally doing it for the right reasons. not to mention the dub outright ruined a scene during the duel on the skyscraper when Mask of restrict was activated in the dub Kaiba remarks that if yugi hadn't tried to tribute Beta that Kaiba could have summoned Obelisk when in the sub he doesnt even blame yugi at all just goes full power hungry with the current hand he had. not to mention the dub has kaiba write off anything magic related as just mumbo jumbo and tricks, the sub on the other hand while he tries to write it off as that he still knows that its real and just refuses to believe it. that said while Dub kaiba is bad in some ways Eric Stuart made his voice iconic and honestly it fits him perfectly. i think out of all the characters in the duel monsters anime dub Tea is probably the most annoying character in that. Duelist: **sets a monster and passes** Tea: if that monster has a high defense then he's going to lose lifepoints like no shit Tea i dont need a play by play of what i just saw

My guess on why Candace tries to get mom to see her bros doing insane stuff is that she cares for them and wants mom to stop that stuff. I know this is completely unrelated to the video, but seeing that duel again, I always hate how Joey only needed to do one more move to beat Marik and he just couldn't say it. I understand from a plot point it makes sense, but it is in my top "I am extremely frustrated, but accept why that happened" moments. The only other one off the top of my head being Father from KND about to throw hands out of sheer frustration with Grandfather, only to lose motivation within seconds and decides to drown his sorrows in Rocky Road.

Horrid Henry’s parents. you know when other characters are regularly compared to the Puppington parents they’re horrible. They hold almost no love for Henry. He once said good morning and his mom said “don’t be horrid, Henry” (note that is her catchphrase) both the mom and dad blatantly favor their younger son Perfect Peter over him. And I’m talking about the cartoon where honestly Henry isn’t even that “horrid” he’s a bit of a little shit in the books but that still isn’t reason for his parents to treat him the way they do
So, the classic golden child and scapegoat.
I like that the creators didn’t make Candace an evil character. I just think it’s better the way they had it.
What’s interesting about PBS is even though they’ll never admit when they make them for obvious reasons, they LEARN from their mistakes. You can’t find a single younger sibling character on a new PBS Kids show who’s as bratty as DW (in fact, most of the time, the younger one’s the sweet one now). Likewise, Caillou-types are non-existent now and the adults are basically expected to be competent. Also, they do give Candace a movie later on that creates a very logical basis for Candice wanting to bust her brothers, she doesn’t think she’s special the way they are and in a desperate attempt to gain any attention from her parents, devotes her life’s work to trying to get her brothers punished. It’s twisted, but she does eventually figure it out by the finale and/or Disney+ movie.

Candace wanting to get her brothers busted out of jealousy actually makes her worse. It’s incredibly disrespectful and selfish. Besides, I happen to know a certain other Disney character who was jealous of his brother, and said jealousy drove him to murder: Scar.

The reason Candance feels the need to bust her brothers so much is because her mother never believes her, and then ends up thinking her daughters crazy. She just wants to be validated, atleast once, by her mother that she was right. Alot of kids will do crazy things for their parent's validation. Also anyone would go crazy trying to prove they're right if their parents never believed them.

At least in Candace’s case her brothers are actively doing dangerous stuff all the time and the 2 of them really shouldn’t be doing all the stuff they do. Specially since most of the time it’s actually Perry or Doof who manage to clean their projects up before anything happens.
Of course, they’re really smart, but even so. They’re children, there’s a reason every delivery man asks if they’re old enough to be doing the things they’re doing but couldn’t care enough to at least ask their parents if this is ok. Also, the moments where she’s actually a great big sister to her brothers redeems her imo.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Elmyra Duff from Tiny Toons! I haven't watched much of the original show, but I do know that she constantly forced unwanted affection onto the main cast, as well all of her other pets! And in the one episdoe of the reboot she appeared in, she forced Babs (and the rest of the crew near the end of the episode) to stay in the studio and take photos. And after keeping her there for HOURS, she took the memory card (or something) out of the camera, which forced Babs to stay there for even longer!
She also appeared in one episode of the original Animaniacs, but I don't know enough about that episode to say anything.

For Candace, she does have some redeeming qualities. In some Phineas and Ferb episodes, as well as the specials, she puts aside busting her brothers to help them out with whatever problem they might be facing. Heck, in Candace Against the Universe (The Disney+ special), even after all of the wacky inventions Phineas, Ferb, and Dr. Doofenshmirtz made, she doesn’t even say a WORD to her mom!

Yes Kaiba in the 4Kids dub is arrogant and just goes full ego. at least in the sub he has his reasons which literally makes him and yugi 2 sides of the same coin.
meanwhile in episode 1 hell even season 0 kaiba was the antagonist at the end, so when duel monsters rolled out it started at the end of season 0 and was full switched around as in season 0 yami outright killed kaiba (IIRC) while season 1 he simply sealed away the evil within him, so while Kaiba may be arrogant and egotistical he's literally doing it for the right reasons.
not to mention the dub outright ruined a scene during the duel on the skyscraper when Mask of restrict was activated in the dub Kaiba remarks that if yugi hadn't tried to tribute Beta that Kaiba could have summoned Obelisk when in the sub he doesnt even blame yugi at all just goes full power hungry with the current hand he had.
not to mention the dub has kaiba write off anything magic related as just mumbo jumbo and tricks, the sub on the other hand while he tries to write it off as that he still knows that its real and just refuses to believe it.
that said while Dub kaiba is bad in some ways Eric Stuart made his voice iconic and honestly it fits him perfectly.
i think out of all the characters in the duel monsters anime dub Tea is probably the most annoying character in that.

My guess on why Candace tries to get mom to see her bros doing insane stuff is that she cares for them and wants mom to stop that stuff. What would happen if any invention or something the boy’s make falls apart or something like that and they could get hurt or killed and mom or dad would need to know about how that happened? I am pretty sure Candace don’t want the bros to feel down and not have the ability to do these stuff anymore, but at the same time, she doesn’t want them doing things like I mentioned before could get them injured or even killed.

I know this is completely unrelated to the video, but seeing that duel again, I always hate how Joey only needed to do one more move to beat Marik and he just couldn't say it. I understand from a plot point it makes sense, but it is in my top "I am extremely frustrated, but accept why that happened" moments.
The only other one off the top of my head being Father from KND about to throw hands out of sheer frustration with Grandfather, only to lose motivation within seconds and decides to drown his sorrows in Rocky Road.
