When people are so excited by a new toy, it is hard not to smile a little. 🙂 And yes, if this present suddenly was in front of me, for me to unpack - I would even smile a little more, 😄
The specs for both the standard and the Plus battery call out 30W of charging and using the 35W charger gives you enough power to charge them quickly. Since the batteries have an internal controller, they will only use as much power as needed to charge the batteries. They also trickle down to a lower wattage as the battery charges. The 35W is the way to go and you ca even use a larger one with no issues because the controller limits the charge.
Hej, för några månader sedan beställde jag ett solskydd till min dji kontroller, det blev dyrt, ca 8 dollar på Ali express, men när den kom till Sverige från dig var priset ca 50 dollar, så nog handlat 😢
DJI is getting to the point where they are only adding confusion with a couple too many drones that are within a few dollars of each other. This one is $30 less with more features? The mini 2SE can do pan and 180 pictures ( 6 frames stitched together and 9 frames stitched together). Does this one do that too? Can't wait for your field review.
I'm still testing the Mini 4K but it seems like DJI produced this drone based on the Mini 2E with an upgraded imaging package that can provide 4K. They also included the newer RC-N2 controller. Almost all of the other features are the same, except that it's priced perfectly for new fliers to enjoy the hobby. I'll have a few more clips posting soon so be sure to stay tuned.
This "4K" model seems a LOT like the Mini 2 without the front LED bar. Yeah, it's less expensive. Maybe DJI had a lot of Mini/2/SE carcasses left so they did this.
I think that DJI has the molds for the "Gen 2" air-frame, which was used for a few models including the Mini 2, Mini 2SE and used that air frame for the new Mini 4K. The big difference is that the 4K has an upgraded imaging package to provide the 4K recording and a much lower price. I still can't believe you can buy a drone with these capabilities for less than $300.
when someone has an overview, and they dont' actually fly it... and get output... I'm like, "how is that an overview?" I see your channel is popular so I'm probably off, but to me it's like, unboxing a camera, and taking no pictures with it to show the quality.
Thanks for the post and I will have a "First Flight" clip posting this week. I can't put all of that into a single clip or it'll be 40 minutes long. Stay tuned for that and a more detailed comparison of the new Mini 4K and some other DJI drones.
Yep, more like a Mini 2SE on steroids at a great price. Similar specs but the new RCN2 controller and 4K @30fps. It's the perfect second drone or a great one for new fliers.
I had to cleanup the shelf and just haven't had the chance to add them back yet. I also do a lot of commercial clips for partners and they don't like to see competing products in their videos.
The Mini 2 and Mini 2SE were similar drones and the 2SE was stripped down to lower the cost. The big difference with the Mini 4K compared to the Mini 2 is that it is $200 less expensive with all of the features. With summer just starting, the Mini 4K will draw a lot of new fliers into the hobby and that's what makes it special.
I'm a fan of folks flying whatever their needs and their budgets require. Having said that, the Mini 3 is 40% more expensive than the new Mini 4K and it's hard to justify the extra expense for a lot of fliers. It's great to have choices so everyone can find the drone that fits their needs. Thanks for the post!
@@tkuzmic1 I disagree. This is the best drone that DJI has released so far for the budget-conscious flier and provides a ton of features in a stable, easy to fly drone for less than $300. This is the perfect choice for anyone looking to get into the hobby and clobbers all the other drone's being sold in this price range.
Love how you say the FAA regulations are common sense but yet up here in Canada with sub 250g/micro drones we have none of those common sense regulatuons. No height,VLOS or cars and people until you go over 250g. So not sure if they are common sense or just a very extremely over regulated hobbie for something under half a pound.
Thanks for that kind and considered comment. I get up every day to produce informative clips that take a lot of work, and I appreciate that some folks appreciate the effort.

This is not a toy
You mentioned using a minimum 35w power supply but DJI recommends 18w. Is there benefit to 35w?

My Air 2S has a 4x zoom in video, but not for stills, which is the only thing I don't like. Is this one the same?
Why not just crop the image on your computer?

Is it usb-c phone connection?
Sorry didn't wait till the end nevermind 😂😂😂😂

A new Mini 2

Does it give ability to shoot vertical?
@@travisedmiston8001 what are they thinking????
@@chrisshorrock8982buy a mini 3
Chriss, it doesn't have the vertical option because of the air frame but it's a sweet little quad.
What happened to your toys in the background?

Rick, take it outside and let's see what it will do.
this is basically the mini 2 drone not the mini 2 se version the actual mini 2 drone

I would rather buy the mini 3 for four hundred and nineteen dollars 💸 just a few dollars more..and the mini 3 can fly 55 minutes not 30 minutes

Now, don't tell me you are not a seller.
Lol, nope just a drone flier that loves the hobby. Thanks for the post and be sure to stop back soon for more content this week. Rick
He was born that way😆
Yes, Rick 😁you are. There is no need for excitement here....
