I have to admit you are the most entertaining watch aficionado/expert that exists on this planet. Your wealth of knowledge and your use of humor is fantastic!
That Speedmaster is rather impressive. Something new! But how JLC connect the movement with the carriage mechanism only at certain times - there are even numerals marked in red on the dial to indicate when not to touch it - is also quite something.
"Does the crown pull out more times than a bad Catholic" is possibly your best line ever. I assume that you bathe in preservatives to produce daily content without ever getting stale. Love your work!
“Pulling out more times than a bad Catholic” man that made me lol on the drive to work. I love your witty lines and dry humour, it works so well in this format!
You should follow this up with a non - Swiss watch video, that way you can talk abouf the Grand Seiko Kodo Contstant Force Tourbillon SLGT003 and the A. Lange & Sohne 1815 or Zeitwork
I would have liked to see VC, Breguet, ALS GP, UN, Zenith on the list instead of IWC, Omega, Breitling Tudor and Rolex. The title is TOP brands after all.
Really looking forward to the video on your ceramic frog collection! That pick n mix Patek movement is insane, not to mention the Omega, but my favourite is the Cartier
Awesome video...one of your very best yet Andrew...each timepiece a grail and verbally delivered with the deft agility of a Robin Williams comedic evening's entertainment! Great stuff!
Thank you for the honest and accurate opening rant on Patek. It’s a great brand with great watches but c’mon… the bro hype & prices are ridiculous. And the AP “Code” jabs were fantastic 🙌🏻
Breathlessly fabulous presentation, with more subtly-hilarious side-references than the dots on the radar screen in *99 Luftballons* . But, let's get super-obscure here: speaking of music, was that quip at 19:50 a reference to Haircut One Hundred? (Oh, the watches? The crazy Speedy repeater, of course.)
To me, the notion of “The Best” watches does not have to lie necessarily in the number of complications. A simply deployed timekeeping-only function in an agreeable case with fine finishing could achieve “The Best” status for me. Great video! I wish my pocketbook would accommodate the purchase of a few of these. Happy 2024!
Hmmm, what a choice - the chiming Omega Speedster, or a house!!!!! One to live in, the other to do what a mobile 'phone, or a G-Shock, can do! Nice watch, great engineering, but seriously!!!!
More amazing than Darth Mauls light saver going in both directions…..Pulls out more times than a bad catholic. Genius writing😂😂 love the Channel, well done.
Did I miss the discussion of the GS Kodo Constant Force Tourbillon SLGT003? I must have missed it, certainly you wouldn’t have left that watch out of this video.
Grand Seiko attracts a small number of loyals who want to get distinguished . I bet , the brand can never go bigger , just be a dwarf . Look detailly in Grand Seiko , I see all is in perfection . Even the surfaces hiden behind also get perfected . This trait had attracted a lot of grumpy guys who tend to find small faults to blame . But at first glance , Grand Seiko provides no appeals . Like L.U. Chopard brand with most time spending to produce watches with highest quality . But all looks unappealing . Wristwatch is nowadays not a sole wristwatch , its main function has changed to being jewellery . If I want a wristwatch to get precise timing , quartz is far most suitable .
@@aljoubert8749 Japanese products are all in highest quality . But ... bland ( or worst , ugly like most Lexus cars ) . That's why quartz watch is far more precise , convenient but the World still loves Swiss mechanical watches ( Japan invaded world of wristwatches by introducing quartz-run watch engines . Won first , failed later ) . German-brand cars' quality is much worse than Japanese counterparts but still outselling . The Japanese has no concept of aesthetics , they're excellent in engineering , that's all .
I'm definitely no watchmaker, nor horological expert, but it's hard for me to believe their is anything more impressive than that JLC. Am I missing anything, or is it just that insane?
Maybe the title should have been most expensive models from top brands. I personally would have a different selection from each brand if I was lucky enough.
Thanks for sharing! Very interesting watches presented, but rather not my cup of tea… 👋👋 If I want a watch with all the functionalities possible, I‘ll choose an Apple watch.
JLC 185 is the pinnacle for me.... still wearable and unbelievably amazing. Funny enough, I go to the Rolex and Omega after that. The Patek is glorious but monstrous, the AP is, dare I say it, dull.
Honestly, the writing and delivery is top tier stuff. Genuinely entertaining, well done!
Thank you!
But the thumbnails now are top tear youtube handbook type :D
“Pulling out more times than a bad catholic” 😂😂😂 that got me
That was the one!!!
😂😂😂😂
I’m still laughing!
Yep 😂
i don't get it 😢
Andrew! The term is overused, but you continue to AMAZE me with your humor, your clarity, and your depth of knowledge. Thank you!
Thanks 😊
I have to admit you are the most entertaining watch aficionado/expert that exists on this planet. Your wealth of knowledge and your use of humor is fantastic!
"Dart Mauls light sabre in both directions" I could not agree more, what a comparison, I vividly remember that scene and my amazement.
Truly the Jeremy Clarkson of watch reviewers with these hilarious comparisons 😂
That Speedmaster is rather impressive. Something new! But how JLC connect the movement with the carriage mechanism only at certain times - there are even numerals marked in red on the dial to indicate when not to touch it - is also quite something.
Love the Newey reference !!! Always enjoy the humor and content - thank you
"Does the crown pull out more times than a bad Catholic" is possibly your best line ever. I assume that you bathe in preservatives to produce daily content without ever getting stale. Love your work!
Going to need confession, my son 😢😮😂❤
That Cartier is crazy
The first 3 watches are insane marvels.
I like mechanical watches but the reason I watch your videos is purely down to your witty writing. It's quite a Mastery! ❤
Andrew, one of your best. I was thoroughly entertained. Thanks.
Can we have a part 2 that covers the likes of VC and Lange as well?
“Pulling out more times than a bad Catholic” man that made me lol on the drive to work. I love your witty lines and dry humour, it works so well in this format!
Absolutely talented writing and my entire weekend is now entertained and learned
For Tag Heuer I would have chosen the Monaco V4 Tourbillion which runs circles around the Carrera Tourbillion and is far more expensive to buy.
You should follow this up with a non - Swiss watch video, that way you can talk abouf the Grand Seiko Kodo Contstant Force Tourbillon SLGT003 and the A. Lange & Sohne 1815 or Zeitwork
Your writing is officially the best thing about being a watch nerd. Bravo! 😂🙏
Might be your best script so far. Brilliant. As for the watches - great selection of utter madness.
For me, the JLC and the Cartier ones are stunning.
Jlc for me
Cartier is a groundbreaker
Skydweller is underrated
Breitlings effort says everything about the brand.
Pateks and AP to chunky
Spectacular.
I'm talking about your script. It's just spectacular. A pure joy to listen to your content, Andrew, THANK YOU 😊
“There’s not been so much confidence in an idea since Stockton Rush reached the end of the toilet paper” …… I take my hat off to you sir.
That joke made me implode
OMEGA making absolute legend watches that rose gold Speedmaster looks amazing 400k budget watch
I would have liked to see VC, Breguet, ALS GP, UN, Zenith on the list instead of IWC, Omega, Breitling Tudor and Rolex. The title is TOP brands after all.
Great video, effortless explanation of sidereal time was much appreciated
Andrew slaying with the writing
The Sky dweller is gorgeous, but in mint green it is beautiful.
Thank you Andrew! I always watch your videos with a lot of joy. You bring fun to the hobby, and of course a lot of priceless information.
Thanks, really appreciated
Epic video, like the watches mentioned! Thank u AM it is great to have u on YT.
Thank you!
Good Cartier hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and Star Wars reference keep em coming😅
Can you do a most popular or most iconic watch from each top brand?
13:33 Douglas Adams? Wasn't expecting a Hitchhiker's Guide reference today! *_checks whereabouts of towel_*
I don't know about 'Best Watches' but that narrative had me in stitches 😂
The PP at the start is beyond bonkers amazing!
The writing here is just next level, bravo.
It's trying too hard.
Really looking forward to the video on your ceramic frog collection! That pick n mix Patek movement is insane, not to mention the Omega, but my favourite is the Cartier
The line about the pay by the cup pick and mix got me to subscribe 😂
Awesome video...one of your very best yet Andrew...each timepiece a grail and verbally delivered with the deft agility of a Robin Williams comedic evening's entertainment! Great stuff!
Thank you!
I pretty much agree. There would be an interesting video for the affordable realm: Best Seiko, best Casio, best Timex...not best value, just best.
“Since Stockton Rush reached the end of the toilet paper” OMG that’s cold but hilarious.
Mental.......effing mental. Enjoyed every minute of this one.
Skydweller gets my vote.
I liked the Douglas Adam’s reference: “like a brick doesn’t”
Sky Dweller. What a watch! Blue SS Jubilee. GOAT.
The Tag Heuer Carrera Caliber 02 Chronograph GMT is pretty perfect in my opinion.
Blue is my favorite color. Great color of blue on the merch
I like the Breguet Marine Royale Alarm.
Thank you for the honest and accurate opening rant on Patek. It’s a great brand with great watches but c’mon… the bro hype & prices are ridiculous. And the AP “Code” jabs were fantastic 🙌🏻
Mann. That was poetry. Also a bucket list 😅
The JLC is mind blowing.
You are a master in word scrambling, movie references and knowledge! You are the pinnacle of youtube watch geeks ❤
Liked the Douglas Adams Hitchhikers guide ref (In much the same way as bricks don't).
Dammit, now I want a stroopwafel
Stroopwafel is not if, but when
Breathlessly fabulous presentation, with more subtly-hilarious side-references than the dots on the radar screen in *99 Luftballons* . Thank you, but 'fraid not 😞
@AndrewMorganWatches Didn't think so, just had to ask. 😀
Top Watch Brands But No Vacheron Constantin? A Lange&Sohne? Breguet?
Very entertaining, thank you!
Great vid! ‘Making the complex simple ‘ is a true art, and for once, Rolex did that amazingly well with the Sky Dweller
LOL "Does the crown pull out more times than a bad Catholic?" I cant haha
Very interesting and entertaining 👍🏻
Love this video. Entertaining and informative.
Would love to have a Vacheron comparison as well.
Look forward to seeing the next one.
Repeating the Tag intro in the Breitling intro was very British announcer of you.
That reverso still makes my head spin
Tudor offers the random jumping-date GMT complication. Such a complex function that no other watchmaker has been able to duplicate.
🤣
Can you do a "personal favorite from each brand" video next? Maybe a podcast colab?
Loved the Terry Pratchett quote at 13:35
Douglas Adams
20:40 😂 he says in a royal blue hoodie, I wonder which team in Scotland Andrew likes 🇬🇧
Tag heuer v4 - especially my platinum v4
Love your humor. Keep it up👍🏻👍🏻😂
More of this please!

The JLC is absolutely beautiful.
In America, we would say you knocked it out of the park. 😊
.
Surely adding that Tudor to this titled video and along side the other watches, was just for humour value.
Hall of fame video sir. A little early in the year for your year’s best video but on the bright side you can take the rest of the year off. Well done!
😄 Thank you!
This sort of educational/informative content with beautiful visuals is what brought me to the Watchfinder originally. Great video Andrew!
That Cartier was the most interesting
‘Hanging there like bricks don’t.’
Nice Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference there.
Anyway, move along…..
all that money for the Patek, and they can't even spell Movement right? I'm getting a Hublot
Nice HHGTTG reference.
Hmmm, what a choice - the chiming Omega Speedster, or a house!!!!! One to live in, the other to do what a mobile 'phone, or a G-Shock, can do! Nice watch, great engineering, but seriously!!!!
Wonderful,Andrew. But… “obverse”, not “inverse”. But still a terrific exposition of inventive similes and inspired metaphors.
You should make one video for more in expensive watches
I’d take the JLC - so cool.
I could excuse the fact that you didn't put in a bit for the triple split, but I don't understand why the GS Kodo wasn't on the list.
I wonder what's your best watch from Vacheron Constantin and Richard Mille?
Oh no... don't mess with the Speedmaster. With a Daniels Co-axial, it's PERFECTION. Leave it alone.
"Omega wanted this thing to be more nuts than when Nutty the nuthatch nutted into a jar of nutty butter." Brilliant 😂
Just inconceivable that the Grand Seiko Constant Force Tourbillion isn't included but a pretender like Tag Huer is in. Shocking
Because Grand Seiko is like Lexus compared to these real luxury brands..... minus TH😂

That Darth Maul Joke is something lol
Style points for correct pronunciation of 'cerebrospinal'.
Just great !!!!
Thanks!
Thank you very much!

Great video as usual. 😂😂😂 I’ve saved up £31 and can’t wait to buy myself a watch or a 50g packet of rolling tobacco.
